Morning everyone....

Hello to all the newbies Its not fair..I miss so much in the evenings!!!!!!

I'm not sure what to do today....kids want to make cakes so will do that at some point. And my newly changed rota now includes shining the sink!

Could always nag dh to let us put the decorations up....we were going to do it next weekend but a week won't make much difference will it!

Too early for putting up decorations but why not make some instead - ready for December!

I have made a few already...we made snowflakes for the windows, dodgy looking salt dough decorations for the tree, paper chains and have been collecting pine cones...they need spraying though.

I have actually just signed up to the FLYlady website....I now have all the answers!!!!! Its a bit baffling...but now I know what all you ladies are talking about re: hotspots etc!
I haven't bothered to do it before now...as this thread keeps me motivated enough...but thought I better had so I can keep up with the lingo!!!!
I will shine my sink...and do my shoe laces up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now all I have to do is remember all my blinkin email addresses and passwords!!!!!!

Hello! I'm making getting up late a bit of a habit. Ooops. Will get a load of washing on now and get showered and dressed. I've already unloaded and reloaded the DW and partly tidied the kitchen but there is lots more to be done. See you later.

luda I signed up to the FLYlady website but I think I had to create a new e-mail address and a new password. I suppose I have to go into that e-mail address to get the messages (it sounds so obvious when I write it down!) and that's why I haven't had any e-mails from there, because I haven't gone back into that e-mail address. Am I right? Can you tell me how to do it, please?

Hi Ivor.... Yeh you are right...

I went on to the FLY website...clicked on the sign me up link...
It forwarded me to Yahoo sign up page...I put in my details then it asks you to think of a username and password.
Once you have gone through all the rigmoral of that..keep pressing continue/next and it gets you back to the FLY site.
When you log off the FLY site and go on to Yahoo...type in your username and password and there should be an inbox full of mail!!!!
I had three emails from FLY to start with...and they say there will be on average 10 a day!

But yes you are quite right...you have to make a new Yahoo email account (unless you already have an existing Yahoo account..then I think you can use that one)
(I'm guessing Yahoo sponser the FLY site...or they have some deal with Yahoo?)

oh...sorry...you have already signed up...(read it all wrong!!)

Is it a Yahoo address?

If so you need to go into the yahoo homepage and click on the Mail Link (my toolbar has a Yahoo link)
Then you just type your username...not the whole email address just the first bit of it
Then your password...then your mail should pop up......

I am gonna have a job remembering the damn thing..I have loads of usernames and passwords for various things!!!!!!

Afternoon all. Its very quiet in here today.

HN house is so so today. DS1 is still stropy but not as bad as yesterday.

I have only done the FLYing that needs going every day. I have been trying to get DS1 to make DS1 happy, Cooking cakes and cookies, making things, cards, dec, anything. I have tried playing games and with toys. He is just not interested. He just watching TV now. Thats all he wants to do

I going to bath them in a mo and try and have fun that way. Thats if I dont have to fight him to get him in the bath.

DS2 and DD are ok.

I love FLYlady. It helps to keep me going and I also know that I am not the only 1 who feels like crap about cleaning. A never ending job, yet it can be made easier so that you don`t even know you are doing things sometimes. And with these threads, I can see just how much I do sometimes, I would not even think sometimes that I have done so much. but when you list everything that has been done and how you feel, what the DC are like, even how much time you give them, then it gets me thinking that I have done loads really.

hi all, took DD out to See Santa turn on the town Christmas lights this afternoon. She was very excited but has now dropped off as so tired. Hope she sleeps tonight !

Had an ok day.Made 2 lots of biscuits.They are very yummy ones using a recipe i got off MN a while ago!Tidied round the kitchen and thats about it! managed to keep it a PS2 and comp free day today!DS2 has decided he likes star wars and watched attack of the clones on sky movies.They managed a little play outside between showers.

I can't believe how much mess gets left between all 4 of them!

DD's bathed and off to bed in a minute.Then i can relax and catch up on MN.

I seem to have a problem. The last three times I have opened this thread, I've had a message on the screen from Norton Antivirus saying that it has detected and blocked a worm attempt (I can't remember the exact phrasing but that's the gist of it.) Has anyone else had this? I can't see any links on this thread so I can't think what is causing the problem. Does anyone have an idea? TIA.

I came back on MN, looked at one long thread, looked at and posted on a short thread, went to "Threads I'm on" and saw that you'd posted so opened this thread and sure enough, the "Norton Internet Worm Protection has detected and blocked an intrusion attempt" message appeared. It seems to be this thread that is the problem. Hmmmmmm. Thanks for your attempt at helping me, anyway!

Evening all.

I have not had any problems with MN Ivor. Just my DS1.

He keeps coming down from bed now wanting nothing. I have been trying to get on here for the last hr or so. He came down just after I put him to bed,I put him back and he then came back down after I got back down. The 3rd time I waited at the top of the stairs. and he stayed in bed. After 20 minutes I then came back down, 2 minutes as aftet I came back down he is down again. I really do not know what is wrong with him.

I have bath DS" and DD, DS1 would not have a bath, I have tried the ok, you win, I am not fighting you, but even that has not really worked. Instead of a bath he went and tiped all the toys out of the boxes and started kicking them about.

We had dinner, but DS1 would not eat it.

Ds2 and DD went to bed at 7pm, so I tried to have some one to one time with DS1 and he just did not want to know.

He is like an adult having a kids strop. iykwim

I am just hoping he is better tomorrow. I might ask mum to come over if he is still in this mood, maybe that will stop him, if not least she will see what I mean. She said that she would come over today, but I dont want him see that my mum comes over every time hes stropy. Though saying that I did ask him if he wanted to go and see HNtree or HNtree come and see us (thinking that he was missing her) But he just said no and he did not want her here.

I just dont know who to ask for help really. I have tried everything I can think of and have been told to try in the past.

I hope you dont mind me saying about it in here, just it gets it off my head. Iykwim.

HN Sounds like very unusual behavior from your DS1.I don't know if its best to ignore it for a while or not.He may (fingers crossed) wake up fine in the morning. If you do a naughty step type thing i would use it for tipping toys out. And threaten no TV if he keeps getting out of bed.
Don't know what else to suggest.

Any tips for stopping a drippy nose? Its been like it all day.I'm sat here with a rolled up piece of tissue stuck up the drippy nostril!

I know what you mean about unusual behavior tortoise. He has done all these things in the past but never all the time. We have a naughty chair. It was a step but he kept kicking that about so we changed it. It has worked wonders in the past. I keep puting him there but he does not stay there. I cant be with him all the time as I have the other 2 to think about too. its like he does not care about thing like the TV being stopped, no sweets/treats, its just "so I dont care"

Its a really hard one I dont know what has changed from thursday night to even say it b/c of that change. He was ok thursday night, Just from friday morning he been a real pain. I tried to have cuddles but he just did not want to know ( he never has been 1 for cuddles )

Fingers crossed tomorrow will be better, if not I hope he tells me something so I can help him.

As for your nose. I think you are already doing the best thing. I hate runny noses.

They say 'I don't care but they do really. I told DS1 last night if he didn't go back upto bed then no PS or comp today.He said ok then got stroppy when he realised i wasn't joking! And stomped upto bed.

Is there something bothering your ds, HN? Maybe something at school? You've probably thought of this already but I thought I'd suggest it. Could you have a word with his teacher to see if he appears to be out of sorts during school hours? Sorry if this has already been mentioned on the thread. I miss a lot as I'm not here much several days a week.

yeah, thats what I thought. I know he cares about his TV watching and thats why I used it.

Its like he is getting these things from someone else and he does not need them from me. But there is no one else.

Oh well, things will be better and we will forget about the last 2 days. ( I hope )

I just hope he better by Monday and in school. I can just hear the other parents saying that my DS1 is really bad and naughty

I just seenn that your DS1 was still awake at 11:30 last night. What were you doing so great that he did not want to sleep. I would have thought he would be well tired by then.

Ds1 was a apin from waking friday morning. I went to school friday to get them and had to se his teacher. He had been bad all day in school too. the walk home was fine, but as soon as we got inside he started. I would say its b/c he wanted to be outside, but hes not really 1 for playing outside, he would reather stay in watching TV than go outside, if I let him.

If hes the same tomorrow, then I will go to school on monday and speak to them to see if there is anything different or wrong at school. there has got to be a reason for him to be like this for so long. I just feel so sad that I cant help him

I might be getting somewhere with DS1. I was doing the DW and heard him crying. Went to see him and he was in bed crying his eyes out. really really crying. I got him and tried to cuddle him, at first he would not let me, but then he just cuddled in and cried. I asked him what was wrong and he said he hated everything. nothing was good anymore. (maybe thats why hes been try to make everything bad) We both went down stairs and sat down and cuddled and cried and more cuddles and more crying. I told him how I loved him and wiped our eyes and noses. I went on to tell him that what he has been doing was not nice and that I did not love that sort of thing as it made me sad. I said to him how would he like it if mummy was like he was, and he said he would be sad too. but feel I should tell good things and not bad things

We then started talking about Christmas ( I knew the early decs were for making people happy ) I went on to MSN and seen that someone (MN friend) was online and we talked to them and looked for a Santa to put as my picture. We found some and DS1 chose the 1 he wanted me to have. We are now friends again so I really hope tomorrow is now going to be a fun day with all my DC. I just need to find out now why he hated/hates everything. I tried asking to night but he said he did not know, I was not going to push it to night, I just want a happy little boy. I think I will have to do some game playing to find out what really eating at him. At least I don't have xp1 to make things worse for us. Though I think XP1 might have something to do with what DS1 is thinking.

I have told DS1 that we will look on the computer tomorrow and find some fun things to do but it wont be game playing. He was ok with that.

Anyway I better log off and finish the DW loading and get bit ready for the morning. DC will be wanting there milk and biscuits in bed in the morning.(DS1 said he was going to make my coffee ) help !!! DS1 wants chocolate ones !!!!
