Frequency of bed linen changes?

How often does everyone change bed linen?

I have a bit of a thing about it. I do them weekly at the moment and when I win the lottery they'll be done every day!

Everyday? That's excessive? How would you dry them all? Surely you have more exciting plans for when you win the lottery!Wink
Anyway I change mine every 2 weeks, though if I had more time I'd rather every week.

That would be very bad for our poor planet, that would 6 extra loads of washing per week Hmm. I'd travel the world if I was you and set up a home for rescue cats Smile

Highlandbird · 06/08/2015 21:10

Every couple of weeks here too.
If I won the lottery I would also travel the world and spend lots of time walking mountains Grin

WinterBabyof89 · 06/08/2015 21:16

Every week

Fluffy24 · 06/08/2015 21:17

Weekly to fortnightly

When I win the lottery the housekeep will do them weekly - and whenever DS wipes his snotty nose on them.Grin

Ankleswingers · 06/08/2015 21:20

I'm a real fuss pot when it comes to clean bed linen.
I change mine twice a week without fail.

Hepzibar · 06/08/2015 21:21

Oh yes OP - I'm with you on this one. When I win the lottery I'll pay to have someone to put fresh sheets on my bed everyday and I'll never wash and dry my own hair again. My 2 luxuries Grin

snala · 06/08/2015 21:22

There is a mumsnetter that does hers daily. Can't remember her name though.
I'm twice weekly through the summer once a week in the winter.
We sleep naked though.

Ankleswingers · 06/08/2015 21:22

Hepzibar- my mum says exactly the same thing as you! :)

reddaisy · 06/08/2015 21:24

I am going to wave the lazy flag on this thread just to help other lurkers - we change ours every month - 6 weeks possibly even longer in winter.

I also love fresh sheets but we haven't got a tumble drier and our bed is a super king in a tiny room so it is a proper faff to strip and remake it so it is reserved for a guaranteed dry day and our bed is a super king in a tiny room so it is a proper faff to strip and remake it. Nothing bad has happened to us yet. The children's sheets get changed a bit more regularly as I can get to their sheets more easily.

I feel no shame about this.

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 06/08/2015 21:25

Weekly without fail for mine and DH. Weekly for the DC's if Im not otherwise too busy. Always on a Sunday.

Every week here.

Tanito279 · 06/08/2015 21:30

Every four weeks. I do one chore each weekend, eg deep clean kitchen one week, bathroom the next, bed linen third week and everything else the fourth week. No way I could do it all more often and have time for mumsnet Smile

User543212345 · 06/08/2015 21:35

Weekly here. won't mention that it is done by the cleaner and left to my own devices I'm a bit more slovenly

specialsubject · 06/08/2015 21:35

about weekly, no tumble dryer but that's what the outside line is for. And I have more than one spare set if it rains!!

evening baths/showers keep bedding cleaner!

HelenaJustina · 06/08/2015 21:37

Fortnightly, ours one week, DC the next, always on a Monday.

Hepzibar · 06/08/2015 21:39

Ankleswingers are you my DD?

GobblersKnob · 06/08/2015 21:44

All changed once a week, sheet often given extra wash every three days or so as sleep with two dogs and not super keen on hairy sheets.

TheHappinessTrap · 06/08/2015 21:47

We get so much pleasure from this bit keep it to weekly!

cuntyMcCunterson · 06/08/2015 21:47

Weekly. Change ours and the spare room on a Saturday morning. Love climbing into a fresh Bec, I'd do it twice a week but it's not possible thanks to working shifts

reddaisy · 06/08/2015 21:48

Come on, someone else needs to join me in the month-plus club!

JacD0 · 07/08/2015 09:07

I too am a slovenly slatternGrin
Every 6 weeks or so (if they're lucky)Shock
