Frequency of bed linen changes?

Fluffy24 · 06/08/2015 20:53

How often does everyone change bed linen?

I have a bit of a thing about it. I do them weekly at the moment and when I win the lottery they'll be done every day!

When I get round to it.

ohidoliketobe · 07/08/2015 09:12

Weekly, 10 days maximum in summer. Fortnightly in winter as we wear pj's in the cold months

BabCNesbitt · 07/08/2015 09:22

About once a month or when they start to smell Blush

Whatabout · 07/08/2015 09:27

When I remember. I have a bad back and I'm 35 weeks pregnant so it's tough at the moment. I'd like it to be fortnightly at most for us DS but it isn't. I promise myself when I am up and at'em after the baby it'll be weekly and I'll have daily chores and a four weekly meal planner. Hah.

IAmLynetteScavo · 07/08/2015 09:33

Weekly for us, without fail as I adore clean sheets after a Sunday night bath. Fortnightly for the DCs on a rotation so I do two one week and two the next, though sometimes more often due to wet beds/juice spillage/sick etc etc.

Janeymoo50 · 07/08/2015 09:34

Varies from summer to winter, mostly it's weekly when we can get it out to dry, they last a bit longer (say 10 days or 2 weeks) in the winter although I still do the pillow cases weekly or even every 4 or 5 days regardless as to if I have changed the whole kingsize bed. I agree, getting into a clean bed is one of lifes very simple pleasures.

YakTriangle · 07/08/2015 09:36

Every other week, or thereabouts. Sometimes more often, because when it's nice weather and everything can be dried quickly outside, I quite like changing them.

Hoodedmoron · 07/08/2015 09:41

Previously about once a month....but I have just started having a cleaner every other week and so now every two weeks!

Oly4 · 07/08/2015 09:43

Every two weeks but aiming to do it weekly!

GoooRooo · 07/08/2015 09:45

Fortnightly but I'd LOVE to have fresh, crisp sheets every day. I don't even bother ironing them these days.

woodhill · 07/08/2015 09:53

weekly now. new bed needs rotating so incentive

VulcanWoman · 07/08/2015 10:05

Red, I'll join you. Grin

Sgtmajormummy · 07/08/2015 10:20

Once a week at home. Every three days on self catering holiday (40 degree temps).
Let's just say, when they're no longer a pleasure to fall into.

reddaisy · 07/08/2015 10:34

Well done, Vulcan. There are more of us out there, I'm sure of it!

LumelaMme · 07/08/2015 10:39

Fortnightly: love clean sheets but hate the whole palaver.

thelonggame · 07/08/2015 10:50

fortnightly here, one week bedding, one week towels.
I change routine when hubby works away though, I always change them the day he leaves so I get a clean bed all to myself!

avocadotoast · 07/08/2015 11:12

reddaisy, I'll join you. We do ours monthly maybe. Wish we did them more often, there's no excuse really.

fussychica · 07/08/2015 14:20

At least fortnightly and weekly in warm weather. Pillowcases almost always weekly.

GemmaTeller · 07/08/2015 14:31

All bedding is done weekly, I love getting in a freshly laundered bed.

Actual pillows are boil washed twice a year.

If we win the lottery the housekeeper will change the sheets daily whilst I'm busy running my boxer dog rescue at our estate near the sea Grin

Floralnomad · 07/08/2015 14:40

I have 2 doubles and 1 king size to do and do them at least weekly ,although I aim for 5 days - I do them on rotation so rarely do more than 1 set a day . That said I also do about 5 loads of towels a week - my tumble dryer is well worked .

happymummyone · 07/08/2015 14:42

I was just thinking this morning that I don't change the bed often enough. I'm really particular about most thinks but when it comes to laundry I always put it off. Must try harder!

Crosbybeach · 07/08/2015 14:46

At least every week, but quite often more regularly as I'm peri-menopausal and some days I wake up and it's like I'm in a swimming pool.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/08/2015 14:48

Fortnightly. Rarely more frequent, often less frequent.

Hopelass · 07/08/2015 15:01

4-6 weeks but we aren't nekkid in bed (usually) Wink and we shower at night rather than in the morning (am aware this a whole other thread)

TheHappinessTrap · 07/08/2015 22:47

Ooh, I'm moving my weekly change to sunday night, great way to start the week!
