I am on a christmas decoration mission too
Our christmas Fair/Market arrives on Monday so I might hold on for that.

I am having poo pants side effects from my treatment...I can't wait for things to be normal again!!!!!
DD2 has a nice snotty cold...lets hope it does the rounds and buggers off before xmas!!!
My dd1 is now 5 and has only had 1 xmas where she hasn't been ill!!!!!

REally need to get organised today as have some friends coming over for lunch tomorrow and although DH will cook I need to get the shoppin gin and tidy the house.

DH has taken DS to football this morning and I should be showering, sorting beds etc etc etc but I'm on here instead of course.

Sahmtotwo - very sorry about your m/c. Must be soul destroying to have lost so many. I have just had an unsuccessful IVF attempt so am feeling a bit low too. I had a look at the Zita West website yesterday (ended up spending a fortune on pe-conception vitamins and a book!) and noticed they mention recurrent miscarriages. Maybe worth a look - I am useless at links but just do a search for "Zita West". If you don't know of her, she is an "alternative" therapist specialising in pregnancy.

Morning all. Thanks for the good vibes everyone. Everything slowed down when i went to bed so nothing happening yet. I am desperate for baby to come early as i dont really want a xmas baby but i guess what will be, will be.

DD woke at 6am this morning with a nightmare so DH has been watching DVDs with her all morning while i had some sleep. I've very grateful

Washing machine is on, and all the clean washing which was sarting to pile up around the house has been put away.
Bed is stripped.

Baby asleep on my knee...going to put him down and finish off in the kitchen.

Forgot to say hi to tinshoes. I wonder what your first name is? I have English first names but I think I may have gone a little ott with the Welshness of ds and dd's names! Ah, well! At least I gave ds 3 first names and the name he's known by is very easy. Dd's second first name iyswim is able to split into two other first names which are both easyish. My thinking is that she does have a choice of 4 names even if she only actually has 2. Sorry to confuse you all if you're trying to understand that!

Hope everyone is o.k just skimmed thread as dd's fighting..right sorted them out.
I've been to town this morning done some playdough and painting with the girls and just made them lunch,so having a quick cuppa and sit down for 10 mins.
Going to do a quick room rescue in living room then make dinner for tonight.Got a new recipe for chicken and butternut squash caserole.It's for the slow cooker so need to get it on soon for it to be ready at tea time.Hope it turns out ok i've never used a squash before.
Weather is really horrid here today very wet and blowing a gale,makes me glad to be inside.Someone has rung my house phone 6 times this morning(maybe more as i've been out) they don't speak and are withholding their no.Very weird and irritating told them to p**s off and get a life last time wonder if that will get rid of them?Just rang again but was tele- sales and wrong no thank god i didn't swear at them.
Well have finished my coffee so off to do some tidying and cooking see you all later.

O.M.G I have only just finished the prep part of recipe and put it on to cook.That Butternut squash thing was not designed with peeling in mind it's skin was like rhino hind or something,took for ever.We'll only be eating at 7pm at this rate.DD's 'helping' didn't aid matters either.
Did living room and have cleaned kitchen again just the floor to do,and some more washing and drying.Going to have another coffee and ciggie first(tsk tsk) and just lurk around MN for next hour or so.

Thought I'd better do it before we move on to another room...didn't manage to do it this week...Buda..I nearly have a tupperware cupboard now..I have the bottom half of the cupboard...along with baking stuff.

Dh is vaccuming all the crumbs up which I wiped out the various cupboards!!!!

Anyone know what zone we're in next week ,i could really do with it being bedroom(s) mine in particular needs doing.I can never figure out how it gets in such a mess when i spend so little time there.One of lifes great mysteries along with where do all the odd socks go?I keep a little winnie the pooh bucket by the dryer for them but they rarely find their other halves.
I'm thinking of making some chutneys and bisciuts as xmas pressies this year economical and nice to recieve.Don't want to come across as a cheapskate though.I was thinking of packing them up all pretty with hand painted tags/labels and ribbon etc.Never done anything like that before think this flying business has gone to my head?

I got some recipes for Christmas food gifts from another mumsnetter a few weeks ago.
I've made stilton and walnut biscuits, and they were well received as a birthday present for my dad.
Definitely a good idea, and most people will appreciate the effort as much as the actual present.

I've been keeping odd socks for years. I binned them all on one of the master bedroom weeks, and I have since found two of the missing halves!
