Hello FLYers.
I feel crap.Nose all bunged but keeps running.Bit headachey and tired.
Managed to clear a big bag full of unwanted bits from the DS's room. And even managed to take them all to the park this afternoon.Fresh air helped for all of 5 mins!
DD's have had tea.I don't feel like having any.
Well done to all the busy FLYers!
I can't believe how much mess 4 dc leave behind them. Will have to force myself to tidy it later.I don't want to walk into this mess in the morning.

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 11/11/2006 20:07

Evening all. I have a had a good day as We have put up some Xmas lights today
Dc were so very happy. DD well, her face is still grinning though she is sleeping. She was so excited. We still have lots of decs to go up but we have made a start. I got her to say "Ho Ho" Tortoise (Hope that what your DDs call him, I know it sounded better than "Santa" for little ones like DD)

Big ((((((Hugs))))) to you, I hope you get to feel better very soon. Take things easy!!

I am feeling a bit better (happier) but it could be down to putting the lights up and seeing the DC really happy.

We had chippy for tea tonight. Nextdoor asked if we wanted anything from there as they were going to get some. So I treated us all to chippy food. ate it out of the paper with fingers so there were no plates etc. So I finished loading the DW with bits that just needed a rewash as they have not been used for months.
No other FLYing really done today. Just the wiped down of worktops, shined the sink and S+S the bathroom/upstairs loo and sink and made the beds.

HN tree said hi to all and hugs to those of you who need feeling better hugs and hugs to everyone. ( she been looking into buying a computer )

I hope those who have FLYed today have a rest tomorrow and us that have not done much still rest tomorrow

Just going to put DS1 to bed and then is rest and MN. HN tree is going to have a hot hot bath.

tortoise · 11/11/2006 20:22

HN.
Yes Ho Ho is what DD's call santa. Its so cute.
Glad you had a good day.
I managed 3 pieces of toast and jam for tea! Now run out of butter though so will have to drag down town tomorrow!

IvortheEngine · 11/11/2006 20:40

Aha ludaloo! Perhaps you know me! I live close by. Perhaps we'll be able to arrange an Aber MN meet up. There's you, me, and several other MNers in the locality. We've just been to the Rhydypennau Inn for food as a birthday treat. Very nice. Have you been there? Is it blowing hard with you? My washing has been drying brilliantly all day. Ds asked me to look for something in the attic so I pulled out a bag of clothing that won't fit ds in future and have washed it ready to dry, iron and give to a nephew. My aim, now I think about it, is to have the spare bedroom ready to be redecorated when Laura Ashley next have a sale! I love having the LA shop in town. They all know me in there.

Hello to Hazelnut and HN tree. Wow, Christmas decorations. The children have to prompt me big time to do stuff like that. I admire anyone who does it willingly. I'd like to be creative.

Jelley, dd's middle name is Rhiannon. Rhian is a name on its own and so is Non. So she can be her name, Rhian, Non or Rhiannon, you see? I know someone called Llio who is actually Gwenllian. That's a nice name but too similar to other family members. I like Bethan very much but it's not right with our surname unfortunately. Now, why am I going on about names? Whose fault is it? When I start I can never stop!

ludaloo (again) I love Osian Wynne. Dd would have been Ieuan Osian if she had been a boy. Do you think it would be terribly wrong of me to get ds and dd to promise to name a boy Ieuan Osian if they have children? I might go about it the way I've heard others have in the past and give a substantial sum of money to the child if the name is chosen. I think I am my grandfather's granddaughter in reality and in spirit as he did something similar.

tinshoes · 11/11/2006 20:51

Hazelnut we dont have any decs up but I did buy DD a singing santa/frig thing from asda. Drives me nuts but she loves it!

Ivor names might be my fault. If we have a boy he will be called Callum, and if a girl she'll be called Erin. Have to wait and see.

2 of my friends have given birth in the last couple of days. One only had 10 mins to spare when she got to the hospital - eek.

No FLYing for me although DH went and got us a mcdonalds for tea so no washing up and he has helped me 'rescue' the living room.

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 11/11/2006 20:53

Tortoise. lol at

Yes it is very cute. DD has got it just right to be really cute. Its very easy for them to say at there age too

I did not feel like eating when I first had my cold and then flu. Glad to had something to eat though. (((( hugs))))

Ivor. I dont need the DC to keep on to me about oputting decs up. I love it It makes me really happy to see children`s faces when the see the lights working. With DD now saying Ho Ho its even better. I am not the only one with them up as 2 house just down from us have them up too. Then there is tortoise who wants to put hers up too

tinshoes · 11/11/2006 20:54

last post should have read 'santa/frog'

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 11/11/2006 20:59

tinshoes... Thats the best bit, seeing them loving Christmas bits. Ds2 has a snowman thats sings and has 3 lights for buttons. he loved it when he was 2 but when he was 3 he did not like it one bit, he cried every time it was played. He loved it again last year though.

tinshoes · 11/11/2006 21:01

DD is 2.8 so this year she really gets the whole santa thing. we have written him a letter asking for a dolls house. i cant wait to see her face when she opens it

tortoise · 11/11/2006 21:01

Who me HN? lol!
We hve so many singing/dancing/jiggling/wiggling/light up chrismas toys it costs a fortune in batteries! My favourite is my bear from Wilkinsons last year. Its sooo cute.

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 11/11/2006 21:06

I know about batteries tort. We have loads of bits that sing and dance too. I have got rechargeable ones, I have just got to find them all now.

tortoise · 11/11/2006 21:08

This is making me want to go up in the loft and get the bits out!
I just don't know how i'm going to get near the boxes of decs at the back of the loft!

Jelley · 11/11/2006 22:01

I've just got back from shopping
ds is wide awake.

iwill not put up decorations in November.Mostly I just get a tree, and it would be dead by Christmas ifI got one now.

tortoise · 11/11/2006 22:16

I'm allergic to the pine needles so always have an artificial one.

sahmtotwo · 11/11/2006 22:39

Evening Fly Babies,

Hubby let me have a sleep in today and we've been out for the rest of the day trying to get some items for a fancy dress party we are going to next weekend. Hoping he will take DS's out tomorrow so I can do some housework uninterrupted.

Jelley I started to have investigations while ttc DS2 but then after several m/c's I fell for DS2 before they came up with a solution. Now because of my age and the fact I have 2 DS's they won't help me now. So I either stop ttc or just put up with it.

Buda not heard of Zita West but will definatly go and google her. ((((hugs)))) to you. I hope things happen for you soon.

Tinshoes all the best for the rest of your pregnancy. If your worried about a Christmas baby and Birthdays a friend of mine gives her child a party in June. She effectivly has 2 b/days like the Queen. On her real birthday she just has cards with the odd present from some people but then has her party in June with her pressies. The DD loves it.

Q we really do need to see piccies. Love haveing a sticky beak at other peoples houes lol. Though as I said you can come and do mine next.

(((hugs))) Tortoise hope you become unbunged sooner rather than later.

Last couple of yers the decs haven't gone up till Christmas week because of the mess everywhere. Will try and do it earlier this year as it's much tidier. We will also probably put decs up in more places as well. We have a Christmas fairy who comes and puts ours up.

Thanks to everyone who's given their best wishes it is most appreciated.

tortoise · 11/11/2006 23:11

sahm did you find fancy dress bits? Lucky you getting a lie in!

Quootiepie · 11/11/2006 23:16

tortoise · 12/11/2006 00:27

ludaloo · 12/11/2006 07:50

Good morning everyone.

I got loads done yesterday...funnily enough you wouldn't think it to look at it now!

Ivor...I vaguely know where you mean...we live about 15 miles out of Aber...in a very small village...the weather was indeed blowy!!!It is just dull today! I also think you should definately make your kids choose a name you want!
Are there many of us this way then?

Tinshoes...My ds is called Callum ....Callum James

Squat...if you do make chutneys...do you have any recipes? I have just one that I can find...sweet apple chutney...I am totally skint this year so have warned parents and aunts etc..that they will get homemade pressies...chutneys sound good!

House the house going Quootie?

Oh we put some christmas stuff up yesterday too HN....I bought the kids some christmas soft toy figures from Lidls and we have kept them out...purched on top, each side of the telly...dh not amused but what the hey!!!!!

Hope poorlies feel better today...

Off for a walk this am..if I can get dh out of bed!!

morning... I am soooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooo o tired. FLYing is banned today. I cant barely even type... ill just kinda lurk and sleep today guys...

squatchette · 12/11/2006 08:44

Hi Ludaloo ,
Isn't it annoying how children can undo all our hard work in record time.I often think i do 10 times more house work(since having kidies) and yet the house looks 10 times messier.
As for the chutneys i have 4 recipies out of prima i think.I will go get them...

O.K there is chilli jelly, red onion marmalade,Beetroot relish and plum chutney.Which one(s)do you want? Can i also have apple one please? It sounds more traditional than some of these.
I made a recipe out of same magazine last night and it had orange zest in ,which is all we could taste.I was so disappointed as it took an hour and a half to prep.I did so much chopping i got a blister on my index finger from the knife!
I'm thinking of currying the left overs (practicaly a whole crockpot it was that bad)
It's got apples parsnips butternut squash chicken etc so quite sweet even before i put the nasty orange in.
I'm going to er on the safe side tonight beef in red wine can't go wrong there.i hope..

shazronnie · 12/11/2006 08:46

kids - they make you wonder why you ever bother!
husbands - ditto!

squatchette · 12/11/2006 08:50

Morning Q,
Didn't see you there sorry.
It's Sunday day of rest apparently.God obviously a man and didn't have young children.Oh no he popped them out all grown up that Adam and Eve.

squatchette · 12/11/2006 08:52
