Morning all!!

Yippee, I got to start a FLY thread....

Sorry, but I don't know how to do links, so hopefully someone will be able to do one for me...

Kelly's mission today is to clear out our Halloween decs, and then move into the kitchen and scrub our stove top (that would be hob then?)

I have to tidy, dust, vac the whole downstairs of the house first, and mop kitchen floor before I move onto the hob.
I clean it every night anyway, so it won't need too much scrubbing

Hazel, I really hope you will be able to read this for yourself!! Get well soon hun. xx

Steptree, we like having you around, please don't disappear!

Morning all...hi peegee

{{ludaloo expels air and rolls shoulders and jigs up and down in a boxer type stylee}}

Kitchen hob it is today! Gawd only knows how I'm going to get the stuck on bits from around the hot plates...I've tried to no avail several times in the past..I just kind of ignore them now! (my cooker is black which does help)

I also HAVE to sort my cupboards out...I half heartedly did a bit yesterday as a stange wave of tupperware envy took over

Hi ti HN...hope you able to read these too...and I agree steptree should stay!

tinshoes · 06/11/2006 08:08

Morning all.

Here is kellys mission

There is also a flyspot alert to declutter your pots and pans and chuck or freecycle anything you dont use.

I'm ok today. Didnt sleep well what with going to the loo 3 times, dd waking up twice and then when i did try to go back to sleep lots of wheezing - not sure if my asthma or a recent cough but a big pain

Better go now as DD starts pre-school today. V exciting

BudaBeast · 06/11/2006 08:29

Well Well!!

My list to jobs today is to take down Halloween decs and clean hob as the repair man is coming between 12 and 3! Is Kelly a mind-reader??

Normal diswasher/washing machine stuff already done.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/11/2006 08:33

Morning girls.

Sorry I havent been about much - Becky has tonsilitis so things have been slightly manic - hardly any FLYing got done, so I really need to work hard this week.

Todays to do list is...

Hoover downstairs - including porch
Tidy living room - including hotspots
Wipe down kitchen
MISSION
Sweep kitchen floor
Take clothes upstairs and put them away

So not too much - and should get it done, if Becky lets me. She has been clingy baby for the last week where she either wants held or is asleep! Cant win!

Hope all ok with everyone else - havent managed to catch up with many threads lately x

BudaBeast · 06/11/2006 08:51

Oops - just read yesterday's thread and realised I seem to have caused a bit of "tupperware cupbroad envy"!!!!

I seem to have tons of plastic boxzes with and without lids! And my kitchen is big enough that I have a dedicated cupboard but it needs sorting as DH bought yet more plastic boxes last week! (We do use them a lot as I batch cook and freeze food for DS).

Didn't sort yesterday but will today.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/11/2006 09:22

Swept kitchen floor

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/11/2006 09:36

Will give the windows a wipe down if i get 5 mins peace!

Quootiepie · 06/11/2006 09:51

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 10:14

you are all doing great!
Hi JARM...hope becky is feeling better.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get the burned off scum from around my hotplates??? Its the back plate which gets used the most which is biggest pain.
So far...I have:
Mr Muscles Orange Cleanered it with a scourer...not worked too well
Cream cleanered it with Orange Cif stuff and used a Brillo pad...worked on the other plates quite well ...just won't get the stubborn bits off
I'm just going to have to use a kinfe aren't I and scrape it off

(god I'm so slack to have ignored it this long!!!)

Quootiepie · 06/11/2006 10:19

oven cleaner? leave it to soak abit?

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 10:32

don't seem to have an oven cleaner as such...I have left some bleach on it ????? will go tackle it again !

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/11/2006 10:34

hi all

Becky is not too bad now the antibiotics are kicking in - thanks for asking.

Not got much else done here, unless you count numerous phonecalls to sort stuff out!

Becky is sleeping so cant do anything upstairs yet - but once she wakes I can go up and do 15 mins up there!

Need to pop to post office at some point today.... not looking forward to the cold walk so may just bundle them in the car! Especially as Becky is unwell, dont want her out there if she hasnt got to be!

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 10:35

you have done loads quootie
I have to get my dd2 off for her nap...she is just 15 months and seems to be starting to miss her morning nap, but she is grizzly around lunch time. I just caught a yawn so I'll try and put her down...

Then I'll be able to do the cooker!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/11/2006 10:35

oh and re the oven.... have you tried antheas oven cleaner? Its borax, bicarb and water.... cant remember the quantaties but its on a threat in goodhousekeeping somewhere!

singersgirl · 06/11/2006 10:36

Hi all. Haven't been around for a couple of weeks because of half-term and business stuff, but have been doing all my basic Flying! In fact (this is a Flylady Testimonial!) an acquaintance from school popped in the other day and said "Is your house always this immaculate?". My house?! Readers, I did a triple take. Then she had a lift in my car, which has not yet been Flyed...

Anyway, looking forward to stove top and chucking the mouldy pumpkin.

See you all later.

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 10:36

aww...I'd go in the car....I only live 5 mins from the P.O but I still bundle them all in when its cold or wet.

Surfermum · 06/11/2006 10:38

No Flying for me today, was meant to be at work but am off sick. Dd is at Grandma's though so I can wallow and feel sorry for myself in peace.

I was talking to a neighbour yesterday about flying. My description was "I log onto the internet everyday, so some woman in America can tell me which part of my house to clean". It sounded really sad as I said it out loud . But "am I bovvered"? . Flying's still fab in my book.

BudaBeast · 06/11/2006 10:38

Halloween decs down and put away.
Washing done and hung to dry.
Kitchen tidied.
Hob cleaned.
Bread maker on.

20 break on here with large glass of water.

peegeeweegee · 06/11/2006 10:40

Hello again, not getting much done today...

Have an awful headache, tablets don't seem to shift it...

So far I have - done washing up, put on one load of laundry, dusted hall, lounge and dining room, received grocery delivery and put it away, written out an invoice, and logged some receipts.

Will have a break, hope the tabs kick in and then empty washing machine and deal with laundry, hoover downstairs, sweep and mop kitchen floor.
Also need to wipe over all kitchen cupboards - the dog put muddy streaks all over them when the came in from the garden and tried to investigate the groceries I was putting away. Groan....

JARM - I hope Becky feels better soon, sounds like you are managing to do loads today - send some motivation my way please!!

Just watching City Hospital whilst having my cuppa - they operated on this guys brain whilst he was awake absolutely brilliant...
In my next life I want to be a brainsurgeon - wow!!

OP posts:
ludaloo · 06/11/2006 10:40

Yeh I've tried it JARM, thanks for the suggestion though...I tried it last time I decided to tackle the hotplates
It really didn't work very well at all! (Sorry Anthea)It did shine the sink rather well though!

Quootiepie · 06/11/2006 10:40

DS asleep on lap and my motivation is waning anyway. Ill check back in when I do something!

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 10:46

lol @ surfermum!!!

Budabeast....I would really like a breadmaker!(I have budabeast envy don't I!!!!) I was hinting to dh not so long ago...maybe I could ask for one for xmas!!!

peegee...mums are very talented...you could probably do brain surgery with your eyes closed!!!!
(mine would have to be closed..I'd pass out at the sight of any brain matter!)

Beccarolloveragain · 06/11/2006 11:09

I need to get back in to flying in a big way. I was doing SO well but im back at that place where you get everything really tidy and clean then turn round and its a tip again and think oh F**K it, why do I bother.

Trying to summon some enthusiasm to get going.

Will start in the kitchen and report back.....
