Morning all!!

Yippee, I got to start a FLY thread....

Sorry, but I don't know how to do links, so hopefully someone will be able to do one for me...

Kelly's mission today is to clear out our Halloween decs, and then move into the kitchen and scrub our stove top (that would be hob then?)

I have to tidy, dust, vac the whole downstairs of the house first, and mop kitchen floor before I move onto the hob.
I clean it every night anyway, so it won't need too much scrubbing

Hazel, I really hope you will be able to read this for yourself!! Get well soon hun. xx

Steptree, we like having you around, please don't disappear!

Cor, theres nothing like your mum coming to get your ass in gear! Hoovered living room now, and flashed the bathroom floor. Mum can hold DS so I can do the kitchen fully without interuptions now I know shes gonna moan at the mess, but, by the time she leaves it will be spotless

Jelley · 06/11/2006 11:14

Haven't read the whole thread, but Becca, you sound like me today.

There is stuff everywhere.
Going to start in the kitchen and not come back til its done...

Quootiepie · 06/11/2006 11:16

Good Luck Jelley

BudaBeast · 06/11/2006 11:16

Hi ludaloo - LOL at Budabeast envy!!!!!

Have only had my breadmaker for about a month so haven't done a lot but DS likes the brown bread and it is nice to know exactly what goes into it!

It's beeping now so need to go and remove bread!!

tinshoes · 06/11/2006 11:25

Hi All.

Left DD at preschool and she wasnt bother when i went

Since i left her I've been and had a look around new tkmaxx and bought a new bag

Also collected duvet from dry cleaners.

In the kitchen I have cleaned surfaces, sink, and splashbacks, and also breadbin, canisters, toaster, kettle (all stainless steel so wondolene great)!

Going to get a damp cloth and do doors and cupboard doors. Hob doesnt need doing as i keep on top of that

Hurrah for 2 hours alone. Isnt it amazing what you can do in 30 mins without DC

tinshoes · 06/11/2006 11:25

Ok....kitchen almost done

Ive put away everything that shouldnt be in there

Sorted dishes and laundry

Tidied up

Shined sink, cleaned hob, cleaned surfaces and table.

Just need to hoover and clean floor then thats done but might leave that til ive done the rest of my jobs as it just gets messed up so quickly!!

Not sure what to do next, playroom or living room.

Playroom I think....

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 12:18

Budabeast...is it easy to do?? (the bread I mean)

Tinshoes...well done to your dd...both my dd1 and ds were a nightmare when they started nursery...ds still cries sometimes. I'm glad it went ok. (I have 2 hours without ds in the mornings too...I still have dd2 with me but if I can get her to sleep its amazing what you can do!!)

Right I'm off to finish the hob...I have had to resort to scraping...and soaking

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 06/11/2006 12:23

kitchen done - even hob
have had lunch and tidied away mess as i went!!
need to hoover living room again - thanks to messy toddlers
Will go to post office after 2pm to allow for their lunch time and to give me a rest after my lunch!

Jelley · 06/11/2006 12:25

I' back, kitchen is done, but now I'm struggling.
DS is very mobile - crawling and pulling himself onto his feet then falling over and crying. DP still hasn't fitted my stair gste so I'm constantly rescuing him.
I'm going to try the door bouncer while I hoover, then have lunch.

BudaBeast · 06/11/2006 12:26

Hi ludaloo - it's SO easy! You get your recipe, get your ingredients, put into break maker. Switch to whatever programme you want and leave it! Hey presto!

Just had some for lunch.

Off to tidy messy living room now. Starwars lego everywhere.

Beccarolloveragain · 06/11/2006 12:39

Playroom now done! I had to hoover for twenty minutes to get up all of the polystyrene that has been mashed up and spread everywhere from one of DDs new toys!

Not sure what to do next - Ive hit a bit of a wall.

Maybe DS' Room. I cant see teh floor in there!

MamaApronstrings · 06/11/2006 12:45

going to follow the fly religiously this week in addition to all the other flying i need to do to get the house ready for viewers on friday. Not going to be an easy job - dh is in England and the little pinnies are off school tuesday (election day) thursday and friday afternoon. got ds1 to clean handprints off the side of the stairs yesterday - just seen it in daylight and i think he was a little over zealous and I.m going to have to repaint it...arghhh

MamaApronstrings · 06/11/2006 12:49

haven't read whole thread...anyone know how hazelnut is?

Quootiepie · 06/11/2006 12:56

Phew, mums gone. At least she brought lunch, so, Ive had breaskfastand lunch today! Got the kitchen 1/2 done... just taking a break and having a cup of tea

tinshoes · 06/11/2006 13:09

hazel is on the mend...

just cleaned fridge (inside and out) and inside of ovens - very easy as they had a good clean recently.

hurrah.

dd actually gone to sleep so preschool must have really tired her out. which means.....i can have a cuppa and a break

tortoise · 06/11/2006 13:26

Hi all. You put me to shame! Ive got nothing done yet as had HV come at 11. God she is a bit of an old battleaxe! Can't see me liking her. I really liked the last new one.Just got to know her and she left.
After she left i was doing puzzles with DD's and then we had a song time! Actions and all.
Had lunch so going to make a start in the kitchen. Its not bad so won't take long.
HN Hope to see you back on here tonight!

Jelley · 06/11/2006 13:32

I've cleaned and moved my (now empty) fish tank.
Got carried away and cleared the surface where it used to be. Looks lovely now (ready for small Christmas tree).

Playing should always come before housework tortoise. Maybe the h/v will grow on you (hopeful). Sometimes the old battle axe types turn out to be old softies in disguise.

Need to feed ds and make tonights tea now.

Jelley · 06/11/2006 13:34

Thanks tinshoes, just noticed your hazelnut update.

tortoise · 06/11/2006 14:05

Right fridge clean inside and out. DD2 ignored me saying not to touch the bowl of water and ended up flooding half the floor with it! Grrrr!!!
Microwave is next.

pippah · 06/11/2006 14:20

Goodness, everyone is doing so well!!!

I have done my morning routine including swishy bits like a good girl. Then did the 'hob job' mission and also cleaned outside of kitchen bin and tried to clean draining board of sink more thoroughly, but now it has dried it is all dull from the cream cleaner so I will have to do again.

Wednesday is my 'home blessing' thingy day as DS is with childminder for the afternoon, so I don't have to worry about that. DH and I took DS to the park this morning and then had lunch out so I have had a really lovely morning. DH at work this afternoon so I think DS and I will have a nice mummy and boy time doing some arty stuff maybe.

I think this board is getting to me as I have ordered some ecoballs and dryer balls for my laundry and am about to go and google to find out whatever e-cloths might be. Basically, my hands are all eczema-ridden from the cleaning products so I need to look at alternatives....

tinshoes · 06/11/2006 14:41

be interested to know about ecoballs and dryer balls too but a bit lazy so please post your findings

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 14:46

phew...everyone seems so busy!

I have done the cooker at last...not all the grime has gone but it looks fab! I even pulled the knobs off and washed them...I had a bit of a panick as tiny springs sprung out all over the place
I've got them all back on though

Tops wiped (even moved everything off first!)
Cupboards and washing machine wiped down
Cleaned and antibac the bin
Hoovered behind bin too
Cleaned cat mat and washed bowls
Washing in and out of machine and dryer

have 20 mins before going to get dd1 from school...might give the fridge a wipe.

Buda...you've convinced me!! I need to drop big hints for christmas!!!

tortoise · 06/11/2006 15:27

Microwave done and cooker top! OMG that was hard work.Got the edge of a knife to scrap the black off!Going to have 5 mins rest before looking at next job.
