MONDAY FLY

peegeeweegee · 06/11/2006 07:41

Morning all!!

Yippee, I got to start a FLY thread....

Sorry, but I don't know how to do links, so hopefully someone will be able to do one for me...

Kelly's mission today is to clear out our Halloween decs, and then move into the kitchen and scrub our stove top (that would be hob then?)

I have to tidy, dust, vac the whole downstairs of the house first, and mop kitchen floor before I move onto the hob.
I clean it every night anyway, so it won't need too much scrubbing

Hazel, I really hope you will be able to read this for yourself!! Get well soon hun. xx

Steptree, we like having you around, please don't disappear!

dinner prepared
post office run done
hoovered living room AGAIN
toys put away
both children sleeping

this is now ME time!!!

MamaApronstrings · 06/11/2006 15:30

ludaloo - I was skimming through your list and read cleaned cat!!

Have tidied the garden and composted the carved pumpkins.

pippah · 06/11/2006 16:19

tinshoes - am hoping that the eco-wotsits will arrive in next few days so will try them out and post the results. I think that they need the help of a stain remover for some stains, but they come with a free one so I'll try that...its supposed to be eco-friendly as well.

Everyone is doing really well today! Since last post I have done lots of admin - important phone calls and emails sent and then written some blistering letters to my former employers who OWE ME CASH!!!!! I love writing snotty letters! This is the 4th time i've written and have previously had no response, so I think I'm allowed to get snotty with them!

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 16:24

lol!
cleaned cat-mat.....although I dare say if she had hung around she may have been cleaned too!!

I'm currently trying to cook spag bol without messing my newly cleaned cooker up

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 16:26

PinkTulips · 06/11/2006 16:46

my hob gets scrubbed every day so thats sorted anyway and i did a big clear out of baby clothes earlier {{{sob!}}}

haven't done much of my routine stuff though as ds is feeding non stop since i sat down to have a cuppa at 1.30, lol. will let you know if i ever get up again!

Quootiepie · 06/11/2006 16:57

Just fed DS - was tempted to leave the mss for abit but made myself tidy, then gave him a bath now hes all ready for bed (when the time arrives!). Just having some cheesecake and a glass of Asti (i love it!) I know its early, but, my brain is telling me its late because its dark! Livingroom and dining room are all tisy, and, when DS goes to bed Ill finish the kitchen.

tortoise · 06/11/2006 17:01

All i have done is get tea on and wrap a parcel to post to my mum in Turkey! I have to try and remember to write down any money i spend for things she wants, to charge her later!
I agree, all seem to be having a good day today.

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 17:03

I need to bath kids too quootie..dd has an allergy to the face paints she had on for bonfire night...her teacher said she has been itching all day!!!
I knew she had sensitive skin so only let her have it on for a few hours..and put cream on too...but it still came up in a rash...now feel quite bad!

peegeeweegee · 06/11/2006 17:16

Hello again!!

Well ended up having quite a productive afternoon. Walked dd to nursery after lunch and then hoovered the downstairs, mopped kitchen floor and scrubbed my kitchen cupboard doors. Cleaned the cupboard which houses my bin the floor of it was caked in baked beans and that took some scraping!!!

Second load of laundry on the go, we are having jacket potatoes for tea so they are in the oven, homework and reading done with ds, so now it is relax time till tea is ready...

Am in my pj's already as dh is working away in Exeter and won't be home till tomorrow night...
Am planning a cozy evening in front of the telly.... shame it's monday otherwise I would open a bottle of wine too!!

OP posts:
ludaloo · 06/11/2006 17:59

tortoise · 06/11/2006 18:45

Easy to get addicted! Ive spent less time on here than yesterday but will be here all evening as usual!

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 06/11/2006 18:47

Hello everyone. I am home

Thankyou all for the get well wishes and hugs. I just don't what to say. Thankyou all

Thanks very muchly too for making my mum welcome. She has been telling me all what you have said which I am sure helped me get better and feel better too. I love her nickname. "Steptree" She has been so great and I don't know what would have happened if I did not have her. She has even been FLYing too. I could not ask for a better mum/granny. The DC love her too I am very lucky to have a mum like she is, even though she`s my step mum. Like one of you said about not doing step, "I don't do "step" either

Barbara has been great too with the help she has been giving too. I have a lot of big thankyous to make to them both.

As for me, well I have been very lucky with getting better. If I did not go into hospital when I did then it could have been loads worse. Painkillers for the ME are not always the best to be taking as they can hide other things that are going wrong. I have to keep taking them or I am in so much pain if I don't, but I have been told that if I feel that things are not right, or colds/flu/coughs then to go to my GP a,s,a,p.

I am still a long way from being 100% better, I still have to take antibiotics and I have to stay warm and not go to much. BUT I am home and with my 3 DC who I have missed so much.

Steptree said that she will keep looking on MN and say Hi from time to time. I will have to set her up with an email address and then she can post in her own name.

Its great to be home.

P.S I got the spelling for "antibiotics" from the box of tablets I have now got to take I am not very good with spelling

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 18:48

My dh is a poker addict...he usually takes the computer over when he gets home...
would really like to grumble but he actually wins quite a bit...so I have to keep stum..apart from the weekends when I moan like buggery cause he is on it all day

tortoise · 06/11/2006 18:51

Good to see you HN.
Got to put DD's to bed but will be back soon!

ludaloo · 06/11/2006 18:51

put your feet up and take it easy! I bet you are happy to be back...how are the kids...I bet they are pleased too!!!

peegeeweegee · 06/11/2006 18:51

Welcome Home Hazel!!

Phew, what a scare you gave us... glad to hear you are home and on the mend....

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 06/11/2006 19:04

ludaloo, I am very glad to be home, I hate hospitals at the best of times The DC have been great for mum and have been great for me and are really happy. Loads of cuddles too

peegeeweegee sorry I gave you all a scare, I gave myself a few too, when I could not breath to well, I thought that was it and my time was up.

My tree has read your last bit and said, she wont be doing anything but what yoiu said to do!

I have to be very careful what I say about her now. lol

She just great

pippah · 06/11/2006 19:22

Good to see you back Hazel. Take care and I hope you are able to rest and recover as much as poss xx

tortoise · 06/11/2006 19:24

DD's are in bed! Peace at last.
Bet your 3 were really pleased to have mummy home HN. Make sure you do rest.

HazelnutHazelnutsTree · 06/11/2006 19:37

Thank you pippah.

tortoise,.....they were so happy to have me home. DS2 did not want to goto bed tonight. The last time I was home and put him to bed, he woke the next morning and I was not here. He was thinking that it would happen tonight aswell.
I had big cuddles and told them that mummy had to go to hospital to get better and if it happens again, then we will try and wake them up to let them know where I will be going, but they would not be able to come with me then but the could come and see me like they did yesterday. They both seemed very happy with that and then went to bed ok. Its very hard to know what to tell them about things like getting rushed into hospitals.
