DP promised we'd go and buy a slow cooker today. i am going to reserve one now. i should look up some vegetarian recipes!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 21/10/2006 11:25

Q how unlucky!! i hope it's done soon!!

lol at everyone being lazy - and right you are! especially since it's weekend and no flying required!!!

Afternoon all.

I've flown through the house and just given it a tidy. It's not looking to bad now. DS's bags packed. Sitting down to lunch. Have to finish hoovering after lunch (just the lounge to do.) Pack my stuff. Wash my hair, do my legs, shower, dress and off we go. We're away till tomorrow tea time. Wahey!!!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 21/10/2006 13:04

well done SAHM - where you off to?

sahmtotwo · 21/10/2006 13:04

Tort good luck with the party hope it's a scream!!!

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 21/10/2006 14:20

Afternoon FLYers.

Not done much indoors today. the DW, S and S the bathroom, and 2 loads of washing as its sunny.

Then we have been outside cutting the grass ( last time I hope) and having a clear up of the weeds and dead/dying plants. Its looks heaps better now. I dont like gardens in the winter, I need some winter colour. The best a winter garden can look to me is...when its all covered with snow, the trees, plants, garden bits. I lovely christmas sceen. Which we dont get to see anymore Well I have never seen it at Christmas, but would love too!

Hope the party is going great tortoise and that you are all having a FAB time

See you all later as we are soon off out for a walk and maybe the park.

jasnDISMemBERED · 21/10/2006 14:35

I have photos of my dds out in the snow on Christmas eve in 2001. My parents live in Norfolk, and it seems to snow more there.
It's snowed a few times since as well over the christmas hlidays.

I have winter jasmine which flowers in Jan/Feb and brightens the place up a bit.

I've cleaned up the kitchen, hoovered the whole house, changed the beds, done the washing (but most of it is still wet as it is raining here) tidied my room and spot cleaned the carpet, been to the post office.
I'm going to do a big shop when dp gets back with the car, so I don't have to walk with the kids every day (dd12 absolutely hatesd shopping and moans non stop)

Hope the party goes really well Tortiose

QuootieSpookypie · 21/10/2006 14:43

im just putting up a safety gate - nearly done, DS wanted cuddles though! Doing odd jobs i think today.

Hope your still alive Tort!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 21/10/2006 17:19

Evening all!

Well im still at dads - he has popped to the chinese for my tea so looknig forward to that.

As i obviously havent been at home, I havent FLY'd in MY house, but I have blitzed my dads! I have cleaned bathroom top to bottom, kitchen top to bottom, one load of washing, one load of drying, made beds, hoovered upstairs and downstairs and generally gave the place a good scrub! (Men who live on their own obviously cant seeeeeeeeee the dirt!)

So i think my OCD with regards to cleaning has been satisfied for one day!

TheDaVinciCod · 21/10/2006 17:20

Well done JARM

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 21/10/2006 17:28

Jas, I wish I could have loads of snow this Christmas. would love to have pictures of the DC out in the snow. We had snow here 2 years ago (2004) be it was not very much and it was all gone before lunch

I have a bush that comes out in yellow flowers Feb/March time, I dont know what it is though, I have to cut it back a lot each year ( after it flowers ) or it will over take the place.lol

You are doing/done what I did yesterday I was going to have a lasy day but the garden looked a mess and I felt in the mood for clearing it up

Hope your shopping trip was ok.

Q.... Hope the safety gate is up and working now. I now have a DD that needs cuddles, she was crying a lot, just like she was last night. I dont know why though. She has been fine all day. Now she is going to sleep as I type this.

Hope your party went well tortoise. Thats if you are still with us

Tea is going to be easy tonight. DSs want soup and bread and butter Ds2 tried it though, he said he wanted chips and soup. So I asked him what ones? thin, normal, or chunky ones? So he said "chip shop ones" with a big he thought we could walk and some. I dont think his little legs would walk there and back again though. He said he does not want chips now. I better go and get tea now I suppose.

QuootieSpookypie · 21/10/2006 17:30

Gates up and working, if wonky Its the walls! Little chuffed with myself as im feeling beyond crap today, that ive done something I would normally have left to DH.

QuootieSpookypie · 21/10/2006 17:36

maybe I should give the curtain pole a go? Or am I getting abit adventorous?

WHY oh why am I totally illiterate?

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 21/10/2006 17:44

cod have you been drinking???
We come in here to say what we have been doing as it keeps us going and not just sitting on our bums doing nothing. and if we do feel that we have not got the will power to do anything, then coming on here helps us to get some, OR we all just dont bother to doing any house work

Well done JARM

OCD does have some good points to it then. well for your dad anyway. I dont know about all men no seeing dirt. most of them see it but just dont do anything about it. xp2 was good with helping out with the house work. he believed in a house should be lived in and just clean up as you go.

TheDaVinciCod · 21/10/2006 17:45

no not drinking at 1745pm

QuootieSpookypie · 21/10/2006 17:55

you survived tort?

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 21/10/2006 18:06

Well done Q

I would leave the curtain pole though. It might be just getting abit too adventorous Ask DH if you can put it up but with his help if you need him too.

I have read your thread. Dont feel so down, you have done really well with the gate. 2 good marks for you for doing that. 1 for putting it up. and another 1 for not asking DH to do it.

I used to rely on xp2 to do jobs like that, I think I might have over loaded him with jobs, not that he minded. But I think I just gave him more that he could really cope with

TortUREoiseChamber · 21/10/2006 18:08

Im alive!! Just!
All had a great time. They all kept wanting to go outside on the big trampoline.
Loads of sarnies left.
Have already tidied kitchen.
DD's eating tea. Will have mine later.
Toilet roll mummy game was a huge success and very funny.
Feeling tired now but still have to bring the huge rocking horse down stairs (its been snoozing on my bed)and clear the rest of the stuff off my bed.

QuootieSpookypie · 21/10/2006 18:08
