I don't have 27 hair care products!

We have 2 bottles of shampoo, 2 conditioner, and 3 gel (dps). All in use...

scarymaryme · 16/10/2006 07:29

Fed up in the kitchen...spent yesterday cooking! Cooked roast dinner, the christmas cake, and some meringues for the kids. Need to get out today!!

batinshoes · 16/10/2006 07:30

off to pre-school for 3rd visit this morning so wont be around much until later.

good morning all.

asleep · 16/10/2006 07:55

morning!
don't have any clutter in my bathroom since last month, so no mission to do for me today. will do a proper clean in there today and really scrub tiles, grout and ceiling!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 16/10/2006 08:00

Right, after last weeks lazyness of hardly doing anything, am back with a vengeance.

De-cluttered my toiletries/medicines/etc a few weeks ago, but will have another go at it!!

Also need to hoover and dust downstairs, after a weekend of heavy gardening there is more mud inside than out!!

Will put in progress report later... (so I can bore you all with it and keep myself motivated

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 16/10/2006 08:41

yep self motivation ...

i am dressed, w/m and dryer are working away.
well, that's about it

bathroom really needs doing

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 08:44

I have also de-cluttered my bathroom lately, so all that is in there is stuff we use.

However, I have a box of stuff in my bedroom that is full of beauty products - and all i ever use is the body lotion and occasionally the make up (if i go out) so im guessing i could get rid of a lot there.

Need to clean bath and toilet and sink again though.

Got 2 baskets of the girls clothes to put away

Thats about it for today as did a lot yesterday.

Need to go to post office and shop so will do that shortly!

batinshoes · 16/10/2006 08:53

ok, swot alert just before I go out :

Dishwasher emptied and part reloaded with breakfast stuff.
Kitchen surfaces clear.
Washing machine on.
Downstairs loo & sink cleaned.
Bathroom loo, sink, bath, windowsill & floor cleaned.

Off out to pre-school now....spk later

I never wear make up for day to day - cant see the point! Its only ever the kids that see me 9 times out of 10!

Im also in the "fat camp" group - but really cant bring myself to do anything about it! Where I live, to go anywhere cheaply, it involves using the car!

Am going to walk to the shop soon though as need a few bits but its very rare i walk because usually i get what i need either while dropping DH at work or picking him up again!

Have put dishwasher on already this morning - bad night last night so we have loads of bottles to wash so thought i would get it on now and then it isnt overflowing later!

Will go to shops now, and do bathroom when i get back!

Happy FLYing ladies!!! xxx

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 09:35

Morning.
DD2 woke at 7.30 and DD1 just before 8 !
I have lots to do but will try the 15min thing cos normally I don't do any timing and just rush around and get bored by lunch time.
I need to go get bread in a bit. They didn't have any left yesterday!
Have already dressed and fed all.
Emptied Dishwasher.
Done hair.
Forgot to make bed again but sheets need changing. Must be 3 weeks since they were done.
Off for 1st 15 mins now.
Oh and I never wear make up. None in the house. Well except black lipstick for halloween party!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 16/10/2006 09:43

Hi y'all

Well I had a lovely weekend and last night I hands-and-knees scrubbed 1/3 of my kitchen floor (There is about 25' of it and I ran out of things to dry it with .) Am totally converted, it's hugely more effective than mopping.

Bathroom brainstorm:
Hoover cobwebs from scary former water tank cupboard (soooo need to dismantle this and put up a cabinet for all the clutter)
Hands-and-knees-scrub of floor
Cillit Bang bath, sink, proper loo clean
Remove shelf and paint

Mondays are now my day off since I changed DD's preschool to 4 times a week so I'll be doing the bare minimum today (which, thanks to the Flylady, I now know is more than nothing.)
However, for those of us who need exercise, shall we all commit now to half an hour's walk sometime today? I'll be taking the kids to the park so not exactly brisk walking but every little helps.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 16/10/2006 09:52

By the way, instead of binning toiletries, why not have a swap with (close) friends? Always nice to try new things for free

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 16/10/2006 09:53

Morning again...

Have not done much yet, only first load of washing...

Bucketofdinosaurs - love the walking idea. Will be taking the dog to the common after walking dd to nursery at lunchtime. Will aim to walk briskly instead of just ambling...

Need to lose 5 stone, starting today, so any little will help I hope...

Right, am off to do hoover/dust downstairs, then will start on bathroom...

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 10:02

just back from shops so i think my 1/2hr walk is done!

shame i couldnt resist the m&m's in the shop though!!!

jasnDISMemBERED · 16/10/2006 10:07

Hi,
I had my usual 5am start to the day, so

Washing ready to hang out
beds stripped
washing up done, and sink shiny
shopping done

I'm going to do 15 mins in the bathroom now, then have breakfast, and start on the kids room.

I don't need to lose weight, but am unfit.
I already walk at least an hour a day (school runs so varying speeds depending on kids with me but need to do more

OP posts:
TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 10:08

I walk everywhere anyway so I need more than just a walk. Willpower for a start so i don't pick at food in the evenings!
Have done about 25 mins work now. Hand washed a few items that needed doing and tumble drying bits that had already been washed. Its not worth hanging it out today!

sahmtotwo · 16/10/2006 10:20

I've done burger all this morning. We were late up. I have DH home from work sick. Just got back from takinf DS1 to school, which is a 2 mile walk for me up a hill. Sat and had brekkie. Caught up on this thread. I don't have much to do in the bathroom it just needs the skirting boards etc. done. So this week I will concentrate on hotspots and I have looooooads of them breeding.

Right dilema time.... the girl in the flat upstairs from me has been playing her music so bloody load the last couple of weeks and it is bugging me but I need to ask her to check on the dog over next weekend so will need a favor. Do I go and ask her to turn it down? or put up with it?

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 10:25

sahmtotwo Thats a tough one. Could you just mention that it was a little loud without telling her to turn it down? See if she can take a hint!

Ok my turn! What do i do with a baking tray thats going rusty? Not really right to put it in th bin and i can't get to the dump!

sahmtotwo · 16/10/2006 10:33

Cheers but we go through this regularly and I have tried the subtle approach she is too thick to get it. In the end I have to tell her directly. She has been ok since the beginning of summer which has been great. But she seems to have fallen back in to bad habits again. The sooner we are out of this flat the better to be honest.

Sorry got no idea on the baking tray.

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 10:43

Oh dear! No idea then.

Im of to get the bread now. Bloke just phoned about coming to look at kitchen/bathroom floor! He will be here in about hour and half! I better run to get bread or maybe i should tidy 1st!

Ruby - never ordered online from Woolies...does it say whenit was delivered? Maybe it's been dispatched and is on its way to you today.[hopeful]

SAHM - I'd chance combining the dog sitting request with a turn your music down request...do you have an alternative dog sitter?

Tortiose - why can't you just bin it (or wash it and oil it if it's only a bit rusty and you want to keep using it)?

Bathroom done - I even managed to get some of the walls and skirting boards done in 15 mins, cos it wasn't bad all round. Last time I did skirting boards I was painting them.

Breakfast finished, baby is sleeping, going to make the kids beds

OP posts:
TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 10:59

Ive always found woolies on-line great.Never had any problems. They must have a way to contact them even if by email.
Its pissing down now. I don't want to go out in it. Have nothing else i can give DD's for lunch though! I don't care about me i can go without!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 11:06

Becky is sleeping - so havent done a lot for the past hour!

Will go up at 11.30 and wake her and do the jobs that need doing upstairs (ie bathroom/toilet and clothes away) before I bring her downstairs.

Will then give them lunch and then hoover once they are finished.

Easy tea tonight - pie out of freezer so will jsut need to peel potatoes and put veg in a pot!

Will have a nap this afternoon if the kids play the sleep game.
