Baby wipes get crayon off, (scarey to think they are meant for babies bottoms) well pampers did about 5 years ago, they may have changed since then worth a try

dame I ran out of wipes and as none in nappies now i haven't bought any more! DD2 only just out of them at night.

shazdisembodiedronnie · 16/10/2006 12:21

Jasnem is that you??!!!! You look very scary!

I'm back after my sojourn to legoland, and my routine is all to pot!

Going to concentrate on getting sink shiny and the home blessing today - babysteps

Tortoise - I think lemon juice can remove rust, but you have to make sure you rinse it off well.

For grout make a bicarb of soda paste with some white vinegar, leave in on for 30 mins then scrub off with old toothbrush.

asleep · 16/10/2006 12:23

i tried WD40 and a babywipe on a crayon mark on my wall and it didn't take it off. i have no baby oil so can't try that.

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 12:24

Oil is working.DD's are scrubbing it!!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 12:24

Well i have done upstairs - all clothes away, bathroom cleaned, toilet cleaned (love bicarb and white vinegar at the moment!)

Have hoovered out porch because of walk to shops this morning and the bloomin army cutting the grass while its wet - it looked like it had its very own lawn!

Kids just having lunch and will hoover living room once they are done - becky loves to throw her food around at the moment!

dishwasher has finished and has been emptied, will put lunch dishes in when girls are done. Have wiped all surfaces in kitchen

Have changed bedding on jess's bed and becky's cot - so a load of washing needs to go on.

Once all thats done, im done! Just need to prep tea this afternoon.

Havent cleared the box thats in my bedroom yet - will wait til either girls are asleep or DH home from work before i do that - dont want to end up with beauty products smeared into my carpets!

ParanoidAndroid · 16/10/2006 12:26

I'm now back - tired but happy dogs.

Fab picture Jas!

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 12:29

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 12:34

JARM Its bathroom and one other room this week.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 12:36

I only have one bathroom with a seperate toilet.

One other room - I would say the now spare room but it really does look like a bomb has gone off in there! Much prefer to shut the door and forget about it LOL

Maybe my bedroom then...... i dunno...... lack of rooms in this house! 3 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, living room and kitchen - that is it!

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 12:41

Ah but you can't put it off forever.
Just 15 mins in it at a time and it will soon be looking good!

jasnDISMemBERED · 16/10/2006 12:41

JARM - do the spare room...the master bedroom is next week (I think)

Yes, that pic is me...almost 20 years ago. I regularly went out looking like that.

God, I feel old.

OP posts:
jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 12:45

spare room is our dumping ground at the moment - it has boxes, boxes and more boxes as well as stuff to be packed into boxes and a huge mountain of outgrown clothes!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 12:46

oh, and I have swept kitchen floor too.

I really should tackle the spare room shouldnt i.... it just seems such a mamoth task, and i sit here knowing its in a state and have no motivation to tackle it.

If any of you saw anthea turner last night - imagine thats guys loft - thats what my spare room looks like but smaller!

jasnDISMemBERED · 16/10/2006 12:47

Set your timer, start with the box closest to the door, and get going!

OP posts:
TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 12:50

What are you planning to do with the stuff in boxes? If its charity shop etc then you need to start with a box and slowly work throuh it! Otherwise it will never get done!!

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 12:51

Grrr bloke still not here! 2 hrs ago he phoned. Kids are going to go hungry!!!

batinshoes · 16/10/2006 12:53

some kind of oil. or washing up liquid will get crayon off.

just put dd to bed and plan to rest until tesco shop gets delivered

then rest a bit more.

done the hoovering downstairs, downstairs loo and pretty much all of the bathroom so quite pleased today

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 16/10/2006 12:53

the stuff in boxes is ready for when we move - we have packed a lot of our stuff away from upstairs and all the little ornament type stuff, so it is stuff we are keeping, but just storing it until we get out of the army and into civvy life again!

I just need to tidy it, and put the clothes into charity bags etc.

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 13:07

Ah thats different then!!

Im thinking i may have to go begging to my neighbours for a couple of slices of bread. How embarassing!!

TortUREoiseChamber · 16/10/2006 13:21

I have some bread. thanks to my neighbour!
