Morning all. I havent made up the mission today I promise

I'm happy as I wiped down the fride/freezer/wash mach a couple of days ago. Nice to know you're ahead of the game

Q - your photos yesterday looked great

Skribble - I'm appalled you've added ironing to your routine. My DH changed jobs a few weeks ago and now he only wears 1 shirt a week. I have 4 sitting on a chair waiting to be done amongst some other stuff

oooh...I will definately do this today....mt washing machine has a bourbon biscuit smudged all over it, and the dishwasher has pretty much a whole cup of tea spilled on it! eek

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 12/10/2006 08:35

mission sounds doable ...

morning!
was up from 4-6am last night - poor dd kept crying out and took ages to get her back to sleep - but ds 'let' me sleep till 7.30!!!! (never heard of ) so that helped a bit

so no flying done so far! just dropped ds off at nursery and dd is playing on her own ()
and well, i have to check out the missions and catch up of course

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 12/10/2006 08:44

Morning Flyers!!

Mission WILL get done today.... probably along with the other 2 missions i havent managed this week!

Susis - know exactly what you mean about grumpy babies - Jess was up at 5.30am and Becky at 6am and they are both shattered. Becky is teething i think because NOTHING can settle her at the moment, going to put her for a sleep shortly to help calm her down!

Got shopping coming between 11-1 so want to get kitchen done before it arrives but will see whether the girls will sleep long enough to let me!

Could do with a virtual boot up my bum today though - really NOT in the mood!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 12/10/2006 09:17

Yippee, I only have the fridge in the kitchen, and that got a good wiping inside and out on Monday...

Don't have a dishwasher, and my washing machine is in the 'boiler cupboard' in the bathroom (don't ask, old house = odd layout)

Still feeling crap, now also have sore throat, headache and sinuses ache, grrr

A friend is coming for lunch with her dd, and after that I will just snuggle up on the sofa till the 3 o'clock school run...

Enjoy today flybabes!!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 12/10/2006 09:26

Didn't manage to change the bedlinen last night so will do that today, plus finish hoovering and tidying the front room and maybe have a go at the kitchen floor, what used to be slippery is now getting crunchy.
My bathroom has got way out of control and we have BIL & girlfriend staying over next Thurs to babysit. Am just shutting my eyes when I go in there until the weekend, although really need to paint the bare wood shelves in there as you can't erally clean them.
I watched How Clean is Your ouse last night and was quite surprised to find they were worse than me! I am determined not to let my new house get like my old house used to get though.

jasnDISMemBERED · 12/10/2006 09:29

How clean is your House is always good to make us feel better about our homes!

I'm going to do the mission today,
sweep floor in kitchen
hoover downstairs
tidy bedroom
swish and swipe
then settle down to some serious catching up of the paperwork/bill paying.

I have FIL coming to stay til the weekend so may be back tomorrow for a moan...

great, i did my appliances y'day in the mad cleaning rush i needed to do!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 12/10/2006 09:56

Weeeeks and weeeeeks Ruby! The virus itself can hang around and make you susceptible to a parade of other week-long niggles, then even if you feel better someone else in the house will be poorly and need looking after (like you didn't ) and it will grind your mind down to match your body. Then is the time you have to farm your kids out for a night and escape to a Travelodge to catch up on some shagging and the sun starts to come out a bit.

Sound bitter don't I LOL? We had one for basically the first quarter of this year but I lost lots of weight so can't really complain.
Drink lots of water and keep going with the fresh air and walks.

morning!
not doing so well here. though i've disinfected loads as DD was violently sick all over her bedroom and the bathroom. just went around with detol and went crazy! she's now lying on the sofa watching cartoons. DP came home early from work at 1am to look after her and clean up the mess, bless him.

still no heating, but seems we might get it fixed on saturday.

oh and i never iron anything. and a few months ago i thought of starting and my hardly ever used iron broke on the first pile i did. saw it as a sign that ironing is not meant to be done in this house

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 10:36

Morning! DH pulling another sicky, so, should be able to show bathroom after shots Off to town to buy a new loo seat and mirror etc. I never FLY when DH is here (well, I think I do abit as some is 2nd nature) wipe appliances? I only have a fridge, washer dryer and cooker - easy

Skribble · 12/10/2006 11:16

Morning all, peegeeweegeeWITCH have you only got a fridge, no cooker or washing machine?

I could quite happily wring DH's neck, I am in a seriously bad mood for something totaly no hose related (he is my boss at work, enough said). But now I am raging, last night I though right I will have a look in that huge bag of odd socks, Now its one of those huge Ikea laundrey bags.

Well along with loads of socks were stuff kids jumpers and tops, couple of my tops and a load of his t-shirts. I don't give a toss about his t-shirts he can store them in the shed for all I care but why stuff the kids clothes in a bag thats never going to see the light of day again.

So much for his half hearted attempt at clearing up his clothes, its not like I asked him to deal with any of the other 3 people that live in the houses clothes, FFS I wash all the clothes dry them and even fold them up even back then all for him to stuff them in a bag with odd socks.

Anyway I have made my list for the holidays shopping and even got DS to gather up his holiday clothes this morning, 2nd load on and normal stuff all done, I will give appliences a good wipe too, down the sides is a bit gunky.

Skribble · 12/10/2006 11:17

Sorry forgot this for DH

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 11:37

oh dear... my DH is the same! Him tidying away is flinging things in cupboards... ive found a pile of dirty undies in my wardrobe, DSs dirty washing basket in my airing cupboard on the top shelf, the boxes for my new cameras in the kitchen cupboard under the sink... jewelery in filing boxes "for safe keeping" men will be men!

batinshoes · 12/10/2006 11:47

oh dear....my DH is doing well at the moment but probably because I'm pregnant

don no FLYing as such today but have done a load of washing & dishwasher and been out swimming with DD.

On a none-flying note, any advice here gratefully received

Sorry, bat, nothing extra to add to your thread...my dds were older when I had ds, so it was different for me.

Ruby - that is definitely progress.

On the subject of dh - mine is ok lately, but that is his idea of tidying up, too...he stuffs everythng he finds in a washing basket and hides it under the stairs. The room looks good, but I have to hunt for things til I find the basket (or sometimes a box) and spend ages putting it away.

I've done the mission, swept the kitchen, been shopping, paid some bills, and am going to put the next load of washing out while the sun is shining and the baby is sleeping.

TortUREoiseChamber · 12/10/2006 12:27

Hi all.
Been to docs with DD's. Both have antibiotics so hopefully they will perk up soon!
I don't feel like a FLYer at the moment. Everyone seems to be doing long lists of stuff and ive done bugger all!! Maybe i should give up!

batinshoes · 12/10/2006 13:10

Ruby - fence and doors count as 'house' so defo progress. Thanks for advice - love the idea of 'spare' presents.

Tort - if you have sick children then FLYign is bound to come low down on the lost. Hopefully the ABs will kick in soon and they'll perk up a bit. Just take a step back from flying, dont beat yourself up, and dip in when you feel more up to it.

Hi everyone, I have turned over a new leaf and have rejoined you in your missions! (been slack for a couple of weeks I'm afraid )

If anyone needs to be cheered, then take a mo to watch this which has made me laugh at least 8 times already this morning since it's discovery! Thanks for the inspiration, keep it up! Off to wipe the white stuff....

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 12/10/2006 13:18

Im not flying today - i cant be bothered. I have no motivation. I would rather sit and let the kids wreck the place today!!!
