hauntedhazel - i'll let you off the freezer defrosting then!

torty say you will leave it to his dad BUT have an emergency white/cream sheet and a leafy headband thing as a toga and headgear, just in case. IF his dad lets him down make sure EVERYONE knows about it.

Buckets hope your dinner was nice.

and Q, i had my haircut the other day too. Felt much better

I would batinshoes but if i do it then i will have to give it to ds1 wed cos wont see him after that until the friday after school.
I have chucked all the old sheets out!! Damn you FLY lady!

batinshoes · 12/10/2006 20:06

ah, in that case tell his Dad asap that it is happening and ask him what he is going to do about it. If he doesnt come up with anything satisfactory then you do something ( so as not to have tearful DS) and still tell everyone how crap his dad is.

Pale bath towel might work as a toga? Otherwise try and get some really cheap net curtain from a market or something (might be cheaper than a sheet?) No idea what else could be done for ancient greece.....

I guess he has told his dad. I only found out when i had phone contact tonight. I will speak to ds tomorrow when i pick them up and speak to xp1 saturday when he picks them up from me.

sahmtotwo · 12/10/2006 21:13

Hazel I'm on the east side of Bath lol !! Must be an epidemic with frezers round here. Our door was left ajar a couple of weeks ago and I had to spend a Saturday morning defrosting it . Still at least I know it's been 'flyed'.

Definatly gonna have to try the baby wipes trick. Got 2 chrome bins and a few other bits and pieces.

Buckets ((((hugs)))) men are hopeless.Hope you enjoyed the dinner anyway.

Q don't suppose we could see a piccy of your fabby new hair cut?

Torty hope you mange to sort the costume out with every one concerned.

I'm going to the dentists tomorrow at 9. They have to check up on a tooth that had an abcess. They will either leave it in, take it out there and then or refer me to the hospital so I may not get much done tomorrow.

SusiSkelletonInTheCloset · 12/10/2006 21:26

ouch re the tooth - hope it'll got painless!!

not much done today
well, i did a silly thing and entered dp's office and somehow i ended up picking things up and actually clearing a path
it's only tiny but oh boy can that man make a mess
i left it to him to sort it out again but nothing's happened so guess who is going to sort it ... again 'sigh'
i spent only 20min and it already looks much nicer!!

re costume: i like the idea of have something ready and make a big fuss that yet again YOU have to sort it out

wow, you lot have been busy ... chatting
but so right too: we need to know about all your progress

as i said not much happening here: made the beds, tidied dp's office, d/w is ready to go, kitchen is clean, dryer is ready to go, ... guess that's it.

oh well, there is always another day

Hi flybabes finaly checking in,
DD ON MY KNEE soory for typing mistakes think i have been mistoook for a climbiing frame .
That tip with the babywipes soubds good i've heard that baby oil works well on chrome and stainless steel so must be similar to that.
DD ejected..I have blitzed the kitchen and done the appliances fridge ,freezer, microwave washer ,dryer, kettle and toaster didn't notice how dirty they'd got with all the work going on in there.(cooker arriving nxt week after new floor goes down).
I've done a couple of loads of washing and let the girls paint and make autumn pictures with leaves and conkers etc whilst i was in there.I just covered the kitchen table with plenty of old wallpaper and let them get on with it- as much as you can when they're todlers anyway.

I also scrubbed the playroom floor on my hands and knees and polished/cleaned furniture and large toys plan to do skirtings and fireplace tomorrow and put curtains back up (washed about week ago).

Sorry to hear about all the bugs going round get well soon everybody.Loved that vid FlossieTC pmsl, DD aged3 said scary Mummy LOL.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 22:56

now.... when you baby wipe something, do you then polish it up? I presume you mean the wipes in pink packets, not nappy wipes? Also, what are them wipes meant for??? Ive got 3 boxes and never used them

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 22:57

loading up pics....!

TortUREoiseChamber · 12/10/2006 22:59

Nappy wipes??
Baby wipes are the ones in packets ie johnsons/pampers/huggies/cheap own brands! They are used for bottom wiping after poops!
And faces when they get older and grubbier. Also good for toddler hands when out and about!!

sahmtotwo · 12/10/2006 23:00

Yes please Q. Always like to have a sticky beak at other peoples houses lol

TortUREoiseChamber · 12/10/2006 23:21

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 23:22

I have nappy wipes.... and baby wipes. What do I use the baby wipes for? (baby wise and house wise)

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 23:24

By nappy wipes I mean the ones in green packets (or white as I get sensitive) Baby wipes are in a pink packet, and abit oily.

TortUREoiseChamber · 12/10/2006 23:24

But what are nappy wipes?? Ive only heard of baby wipes.
They can be used on anything i think!! Great for dusting.

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 23:25

ill get a piccy - hang on!

TortUREoiseChamber · 12/10/2006 23:26

TortUREoiseChamber · 12/10/2006 23:26

snap!! lol

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 23:29

baby wipes

nappy wipes

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 12/10/2006 23:31

now, I use the nappy wipes for bums, but, I have 3 boxes of the pink ones and just shined my kettle with them That why I wondered if I had to polish it off as it left it smeary.
