I'm in, on hols at the moment back home sat, wash, wash, wash Sunday . DCs back st school Monday so will start then [hopeful emoticon]

With you on the Jesus type American sites I was looking for a cleaning routine to help with chaos at home and the one I liked included time to pray and read scriptures Confused

This looks good though Smile

MadBusLady · 29/05/2013 09:46

That blog looks great. Will read more when I have time later.

But I am not approaching this in the right spirit, because I clicked straight into the post about the brightly coloured china and thought "Ooh, that's lovely, I'd like to buy some of that." Blush

suburbophobe · 29/05/2013 09:49

I'm in.

My decluttering is a permanent on-going project - albeit slowly Grin

seasalt · 29/05/2013 09:55

"Lover of Jesus. Wife of Ryan" Smile. I am going to try the throw out 10 things every day. I had just sorted out my underwear drawer before I saw this and chucked all the old knickers and socks.

spiderbabymum · 29/05/2013 10:16

I think when it comes to CD's it will be 100 a day for several days... :)

happyAvocado · 29/05/2013 12:05

I also agree that this is the bottom line:

1. Purge ? remove the things that don?t belong.

2. Order ? sort and arrange what you have in a useful way.

3. Maintain ? pick up after yourself, repeat 1 & 2 as needed.

4. Know when to stop

Im just in day two .....know it sounds ridiculous but already I see the benefits

One is certainally that im naturally inclined to MAINTAIN
The areas I've already completed

Some suggestions ...mainly take from previous attempt at Flylady

Start small

If you are joining us for the 40 day declutter STICK TO THE PROGRAM

Aim for Five days a week

And I would suggest to Aim to release yourself from the ten items per day FROM the area you dealt with in that days task . it if not then pick up other items from around the house as your normal day unfolds.

IF adapting it to suit yourself CHOOSE GOALS THAT are achievable ........goes without saying really ....but the tendancy is always to go too fast and bit of more than you can chew

GOOD LUCK

....

Need inspiration for the kids bedroom

What do we think of this room

smallnotebook.org/2010/02/19/lane-toms-shared-nursery-tour/

I can just think of one word said slowly ... BREATHE

OP posts:
spiderbabymum · 29/05/2013 20:33

personally I Really like the simplicity if the kids bedroom
And some Great ideas ..............like the drainpipe book stands

But in some ways for my taste she's takin the thrift thing a bit too far

If the doors in that sewing cabinet are glass for example ...not safe for playing in
