Welcome one and all, especially if you love writing a great list, then sitting back and MNing crossing everything off.

And extra welcomes to those of us who write something we've already done on the list just for the satisfaction of getting to cross it off Grin

Procrastination may be about to bite me on bum. Still have 1.5 units of coursework to do. House is a mess. Busy tomorrow. Away thurs and not back til sun eve. And there went the summer. Whoops.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 27/08/2013 17:14

I did contact a driving school today though. Deep breath....

FreakoidOrganisoid · 28/08/2013 10:08

List for today

Load of washing x2
Sort recycling
Print legoland tickets
Go to shop
Make packed lunch for tomorrow
Check train times/connections etc for tomorrow
Sort outfits etc for tomorrow
Make sure bag is organised for tomorrow

SlatternismyMiddlename · 28/08/2013 10:41

Hello everyone, I feel like I have been missing from this thread for a bit, a combination of being away for a few days in caravan and utter frustration with this house. On a daily basis I could weep at the fact it never changes, just as one bit gets sorted another bit is a tip and by the time that is sorted the first bit is a tip again. My problem other than being a self indulgent drama queen is maintenance. I blitz clean, then it all goes to pot again.

Enough of my whining, onwards and upwards with the aid of list!

Go into work (even though its my day off)
Change my bed linen
Change DS's bed linen
Clean bathroom
Ensure all school uniform ready for tomorrow (bit late if its not!)
Pick a hot spot and do something with it
Empty last bits out of caravan

FreakoidOrganisoid · 28/08/2013 16:18

Ditto slattern. Felt ok yesterday as did a few jobs that had been annoying me such as tidying some of the kitchen cupboards and cleaning the hoover head but today I have been pottering around achieving little. Sacked off my original plans though as otherwise would have achieved nothing!

MrsNouveauRichards · 29/08/2013 08:22

Same here. All my plans for the summer and getting things organised, finally sorting the house out etc.... Hahahahaha, how stupid I was!

Anyway, kids back to school (well, DD back, DS starting preschool) one week today. Lots to do in that week:

Help DD finish the library reading challenge
Dig out the uniform and check for missing buttons, new nametapes etc.
Keep trying with the potty training that is really just taking DS out of nappies and changing his clothes several times a day (still slightly traumatised by the poo-cident yesterday)
Get kids hair cut
Sort out a dentist (bad mummy!)
Zoo on saturday
Day out on Monday or Tuesday
Get kids back into school time routine - bed at 7pm
Get on top of laundry - wash, dry, put away

So that is my last week of the hols list. Going to need to break it down a bit....

Today
Drink my tea and get up
Hang out washing
More washing in machine
Empty and reload dishy
Dress kids
Go to yard - muck out and wash more rugs
Home for lunch
Hang out second load of washing
Into town - library, boots, maybe park, card shop, bank
Tidy up all toys downstairs
Make pasta for dinner
Go to horses once DH finishes work

JKSLtd · 29/08/2013 12:01

Have you checked if the challenge is still running? I got caught out as it finished on the 24th. Ds2 finished it but DS1 didn't. Hmm

MrsNouveauRichards · 29/08/2013 13:39

Ours is the 8th September. She has finished book 3, so will read a short book in the library today (4) take a short one home to read by Sunday (5) and then another to read together by the end of next week (6) :o

MrsNouveauRichards · 29/08/2013 14:22

Dentist done! And booked in for a check up! Huge tick for me :)

SlatternismyMiddlename · 01/09/2013 10:51

Mmmm some progress made with immediate list.

Go into work (even though its my day off) DONE
Change my bed linen NOPE
Change DS's bed linen DONE
Clean bathroom NOPE
Ensure all school uniform ready for tomorrow (bit late if its not!) DONE
Pick a hot spot and do something with it DONE
Empty last bits out of caravan. NOPE

The best thing I did was sort out the tip that the dining room had become, hot spot? - more like a hot room.

I have also done quite a bit of batch cooking. There is no correlation between me cooking of an evening and drinking wine whilst doing it, oh no.

JKSLtd · 01/09/2013 20:57

As usual the day didn't go as planned

Anyway, kids are in their room (not sleeping) and I have just eaten a rather rubbish dinner. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but DH who is a very good cook, just chucked some chicken and veg in the oven, no seasoning or anything, feel like I'm on a diet!

Need to get laundry sorted, dishy on, kitchen wiped down and some nametapes sewn in (nothing like leaving it til the last minute!)

DD first day in year 1 tomorrow, and DS having his first morning in preschool.
