Welcome one and all, especially if you love writing a great list, then sitting back and MNing crossing everything off.

And extra welcomes to those of us who write something we've already done on the list just for the satisfaction of getting to cross it off Grin

Hello Mrs :)

I'm on the verge of a migraine I think so trying to take it easy for an hour or so before sch runs. I wouldn't have said I suffered particularly but did have a mega one a couple of weeks ago that I put down to dehydration.
What I need is a quiet dark room....so we're off to a party at soft play Hmm

Done:
sch runs
Jo Jingles
lunch & DD's nap
lie down
wm on a few times
washing hung out
dry washing put away

To Do:
take it easy until DS2 comes home
try internet shopping as not up to it in person?
collect DS1
head to party at soft play hell (incl tea x 3)
home, DC to bed
my dinner & early night

Fri:
rubbish day (DH away so it's my job)
playgroup
doc appt for new pill/ear referral & migraine q
DS1's sch fair (remember to take cakes in the morning) with all 3
DH home at some point

Ooh, soft play with a migraine - ouch!

How is DS2 now?

Change of plan here, DH came home at lunchtime and said he had the afternoon off (he was on call all weekend) so we did the horses together and I rode. Then DH had DS while I picked DD up from school and took her into town for a treat and some time together.

DONE
Laundry - swim stuff and our bedding
Dishy emptied and reloaded
Dinner cleared up and kitchen wiped down
Clean sheets on bed (thanks DH)
Bread maker on (also DS)
Kids in bed
Another load of washing in the machine (laundry is still my nemesis)

TO DO
Waitrose online shop
Book campsite
Shower and bed (new books to read!)

JKSLtd · 04/07/2013 20:17

Bizarrely it was ok, very quiet so hardly anyone there, both DS2 & DD played beautifully together so I chilled out Shock

DS1 loved the laser party too.

DS2 is doing very well thanks (haven't figured out your nc yet so can't remember what you know). He had a seizure back in Nov and was unwell (but poss 'normal' unwell IYKWIM) over half-term. Otherwise he's just brilliant - started playing imaginary games with his teddy & toy meerkat which is too cute - though less so early in the morning.

Neighbour (who I would have thought better off) has booked a tree trimmer (with chainsaws) to come at 8pm so he can be here after work. Not impressed. DD already been woken & in tears once. The boys are pretty solid when they sleep so I'm not that worried but really it's not on.

Done:
sch runs
Jo Jingles
lunch & DD's nap
lie down
wm on a few times
washing hung out
dry washing put away
take it easy until DS2 comes home
internet shopping as not up to it in person
collect DS1
head to party at soft play hell (incl tea x 3)
home, DC to bed
my dinner
more washing on & hung out
ice cakes for tomorrow's fair

To Do:
early night

Fri:
rubbish day (DH away so it's my job)
DS1 & cakes to school
DS2 & swimming stuff to school
playgroup with DD
doc appt for new pill/ear referral & migraine q
lunch & DD's nap
watch tennis
DS1's sch fair with all 3
DH home at some point

Morning.

I have a nice lie in this morning as it's dds transition meeting at school at 9 so I'm not going to work until 9.30/10. And I get to take my babies to school for only the third time this academic year (normally bfast club).

MrsNM am I right in thinking the horses give away who you are??

I have similarly bumbled along but its been getting on top of me recently. I think partly because I have been v busy with lots of extra bits to remember and partly because without a list I just do the daily stuff without doing any of the extras and suddenly I look around and there's dust everywhere, handprints on the walls, piles of stuff, the bathroom needs cleaning.... whereas listing makes me add in at least one 'extra' job everyday.

Today I need to
Get up etc
Sort load of washing and put on
Fill in raffle tickets and return to school with money
Fill in ds' school trip permission form and return to school
Pay for ds' school trip
Take dc to school
Dds transition meeting
Go to work
Hang out washing
Lunch
Do more work
Pick up dc
Dinner (prob need to go to shops)

And probably dust and go around with a cloth attacking marks on walls

MrsNouveauRichards · 05/07/2013 09:34

Yes Freak, the horses are the big giveaway!

I think my biggest problem is that I have been getting lazy. I am getting up later and later as the kids are pretty good at keeping themselves occupied in the mornings. On a school day I am rarely out of bed before 8am, or if I am it is to make a cup of tea and take it back to bed while the kids play. Saturdays are beyond a joke now, I used to do a pretty good catch up housework session on Saturday mornings and make pancakes, but the last 6months I have been going back to bed with tea, toast and a book and struggling to get up properly by 10am.

Hmm, so I guess I know what the answer is!

DONE
Everyone up, fed and dressed
Packed lunch for DD
DD to school (going into yr1 for the morning)
Laundry
Dishy on
DS having second breakfast (he is a bit of a hobbit)

TO DO
Fold clean laundry
Get swim bag packed
Attack cutlery draw!
Put shoes etc away in hall
Empty hall bin
Toys away in sitting room
Attack dining room table
Go through house chucking random bits of paper (there is a lot!)
Swimming
Horses
Pick DD up
Make dinner
DD swim lesson
Ride horse
Shower and change
Out for dinner with friends

Right, better get my arse into gear! Back later, have a good day all x

FreakoidOrganisoid · 05/07/2013 13:56

I am similar on weekends, love that time though! And being out of house by 745 am during the week means I dont have much time in the mornings and like to go to bed earlyish so dont like to do chores or work after 8/9pm so that I still get some downtime in the evening.

This morning I got loads done by having that extra hour at home, did everything that was pre work on my list and also cleaned bathroom and kitchen sink. Oh and put bins and recycling out that Ihad forgotten to put on list.

Yhis afternoon however I have forced myself to take work out into garden with me but have only done about ten mins worth in reality.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 05/07/2013 17:47

Well not done too badly. Have done walls and skirting in hall/up stairs and have dusted sitting room. Cleaned garden table and put some garden toys away. Still behind on my work work and still lots needs doing aroubd the house

JKSLtd · 05/07/2013 17:51

I wish I could be lazy! Think i'm naturally a lazy sod, the kids just demand activity from me Grin

Have done everything today, all washing, drying (bar last load on line), ironing & putting away. And dw stuff.
And food shopping.
And DC to DS1's sch for fair.
And doc appt.

DH is now home, and despite him having some weird dodgy stomach i'm leaving him to stuff with the kids, i'm knackered and he's been away for a few days and off again on Sun for a work trip.

Just waiting for Andy to start playing....

OP posts:
MrsNouveauRichards · 06/07/2013 08:06

I am naturally inclined to let kids get on with it. I like to play with them, but at the end of the day my job is to keep everyone alive, vaguely clean and fed, so anything else is a bonus! Keeping the boy fed is a full time job in itself, i never knew someone who could eat so continously! With DD it was very easy and I never felt like I needed such a break, but with DS, if he is sat quietly then I feel I deserve a reward, and now he is getting much easier I am giving myself more rewards, which doesn't really help the house much! :o

Crisis clean today, got a BBQ with various people and kids over this afternoon, followed by a few days working next week, and some family over for lunch one day.

So today looks like this:
Drink coffee (kids eating toast in front of telly)
Kill the huge, bastard, noisy fly, currently buzzing around my head
Get all dressed
Pop out to town to Iceland for BBQ bits (ice lollies, burger buns, coke etc)
Be in for Waitrose delivery 11-1pm
Spend 5mins in each room of the house, as many times as necessary
Get DD to help, especially if she wants her pocket money this week!

Back in a couple of hours :)

MrsNouveauRichards · 08/07/2013 07:40

Morning all. Hope you had good weekends? Ours was pretty amazing really, but I am exhausted this morning!

TO DO
Get up!
Get dressed
Make beds
Get kids ready
Make DD's packed lunch - remember extra snack as French class after school
Go to horses, get mucked out/hay/water done while not too hot
Cook sausages - then put on sausage casserole (sc)
Hoover downstairs
Wipe bathroom over
Dishy
Lunch
Ride either this afternoon or evening depending on DH
Pick friends DS up at 3.30pm
Pick Dd

MrsNouveauRichards · 08/07/2013 09:45

Dd and ds are completely different too.

Not achieved much today. Work, working lunch, laze in garden, cup of tea with friend, parents eve, cook dinner, tidy up...

Bf has gonr to France for a week so I have his cat to stay. Its my cat's baby but they don't know each other anymore. His cat is also v pampered and a complete shit so not thrilled about it but if we're going to live together I guess they need to get to know each other.

JKSLtd · 10/07/2013 13:19

Definitely notice a difference!

Having a stressful week. Nurse appt waste of time. She can't syringe my ears without a week of olive oil - i saw the doc on Fri and he didn't mention/know that. Frustration doesn't cover it....Angry

How frustrating jks. Have you another appointment booked now? I am so tired! Barely slept last night. Have fed dc and tidied kitchen/washed up this eve so that's the main things done. Just need to get a load of washing on. There's no way I will do any work tonight!

JKSLtd · 10/07/2013 19:33

No! Made one eventually for next tues (all mon ones were sch runs/DC bedtimes etc) but got home To find that it's ds2's end of year assembly so rang and cancelled it. The following weeks diary wasn't available yet... And she doesn't work many days.

The nurse was lovely btw but the system....!

I am knackered too, and pmt-ish. Dd woke at 4.30 and I struggled to sleep last night.

Not happy with dh or pil, long boring story. Found out today a nice lady i know died suddenly from a heart attack this morning too. Just generally feeling fed up and down in the dumps.

Got neighbour coming in a sec to help me with pool he gave us, then I'll open the wine.

OP posts:
MrsNouveauRichards · 10/07/2013 19:59

Sorry you are having a crap day JKS :(

How is the cat sitting going Freak?

Did 9hrs at work today, which doesn't seem like a lot, but I was up at 5 to get the horses done before DH went to work. I'm done! Going to have an early night and get up in decent time tomorrow. Night all :)

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/07/2013 13:34

How's it going now jks?
What do you do mrsnr?

Well today I started the day by cleaning cat shit off my carpet and kitchen floor. He has blatantly been pissing on the carpet too, despite having two clean litter trays. And he keeps growling snd spitting at us.

Just back from work. Now needs to strip and wash dcs beds, shampoo carpet and accidentally on purpose lose bfs cat on the main road

MrsNouveauRichards · 12/07/2013 16:18

We get this enzyme stuff for pee on carpet - child or cat! Which works really well.

I work at the horse sales in one of the offices. It is only odd days dotted around the year, but works well for me at the moment and pays enough that I can afford childcare.

Done one shift today, and back again at 5.30pm for the evening shift.

Currently have my friends kids here and they are driving me up the wall!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/07/2013 18:35

Yeah I have the enzyme spray too but I still resent having to clean cat shit off my carpet when it's not even my cat!
Trying to muster the energy to get a drink and then do some work...

JKSLtd · 12/07/2013 19:15

Well dh has taken the 3dc off to his parents for the weekend so I'm much more relaxed!! Missing them and its very weird but nice too.

So far I've done:
Some baby clothes sorting to give away
Some beer drinking in the garden
A nap
Some gardening
Some laundry
Some reading

Could get used to this!

To do:
Dinner on my own
Open some wine perhaps?
Maybe go for a walk just because I can...
