Joyful that was vair restrained of you, well doneGrin

Artie I know what you mean about the happy medium. I logged to see if my Internet connection was back and spent two hours going through the newsBlush. All I've managed today is lunch with OH, a bit of shopping, refuelled car, collected DDs, arranged carpet fitters, back home, vacuumed muddy paw prints, made drinks. The shopping is still in the car, expect the fresh fish, and I feel exhausted.

Loads still to do, but this Brew is essential, so I'm drinking it before I do anything else.

Cats are you feeling any better yet? Do you have any antinflamtory to take? I normally use them when I slip on the stairs or do something else to mess my back up

CatsInChaos · 01/09/2012 08:01

Morning all, Welcome to September! Grin

Hi arti, welcome back! Smile I know what you mean about MN becoming addictive! I used to spend hours on here and not get anything done but over the summer hols I haven't been able to as the DC want a turn on the computer too.

My back is still quite achey but I am getting around o.k. If the pain gets too much I will take paracetamol, I know they are o.k. with my other tablets. Not so sure about which other ones would be safe. Confused

I still need to work on the getting the DC bedtime and waking up routine sorted but I have until Wednesday to work on that (DS back to school). At the mo they are not falling asleep till 10.00pm and waking around 8 to 8.30 so this really needs to change!!!

Hi Joyful, back pain is horrible! I put my back out earlier this year when I was trying to lift DD (she was mid tantrum) and found it was hard to walk for a few days after that. This time I don't think it's that bad but it's the top of my back that hurts this time.
Must be pretty bad if you need crutches!

Morning everyone!

Sorry to hear about all the aches and pains and Adora's carpet disaster. Hi Arti - good to hear you are still with us in your own way.

I am not getting much chance to post but I am getting loads done around the house. Hopefully someone is coming today to take a few pieces of furniture away which will help. I am also working up to doing a carboot sale as I am hoping it is less time consuming than ebay.

Nearly my whole day is timetabled today carting children to various activities. It is a bit depressing for a Saturday but it won't be every Saturday. Next Saturday I am running away and leaving them all to do a silver work course for the whole day Grin

Cats I hope you are making sure you get lots of time to paint.

I will try to pop in to see all the hard work this evening. xxx

Oh, my ta das are:
washed and dressed
carpet unrolled roughly over hall so we can move furniture
furniture I can move moved
dw unloaded and reloaded
worktops cleaned
kitchen decluttered a bit

That will have to do for now.

CamperWidow · 01/09/2012 11:25

Well, good morning all!

Here's to Stepping in September!
Am starting anew with enthusiasm and vigour! (We'll see how long it lasts Grin)

Ta Das;
Shiny sink
up and dressed
hoovered up and down
washed breakfast stuff
dry clothes sorted and put away
'party' on the carpet
DD2 down for nap
colouring with DD1
wm on

To Do;
get through the rest of the day without a nervous breakdown!

carrotsandcelery · 01/09/2012 12:08

Hello folks. I am back again. I should be off feeding a pony by now but the person collecting furniture has not turned up yet. I really hope they are coming as I have all the stuff in my hallway now and I am wasting precious time waiting for them when I don't have it today. I am swinging between worried that something has happened and annoyed that they are leaving me hanging around.

Camper I will also be happy if I can just get to the end of the day without a nervous breakdown.

mumof2wildteens · 01/09/2012 12:28

Can I join?

I've hung the washing out & plugged the hoover in. Just having a quick email/fb/mn browse before actually turning it on.
On second thoughts, won't I need to do it tomorrow anyway?

Cakebot · 01/09/2012 15:37

Are there two September threads? Are we in competition? Which one do we use??

Cakebot · 01/09/2012 15:38

Oh and I have labelled all the school clothes. Do I do pants/socks/vests? Frankly if my DS has lost his pants, I would have thought I'd have other questions to ask, but is there something I haven't thought of?

CatsInChaos · 01/09/2012 16:36

Hi all.

mumof2wildteens Yes you are very welcome to join! Smile

Cakebot There are two Flying threads. Ours is mainly focused on those starting out with Flylady. We mainly try to do babysteps. --Or whatever you can manage-- Wink
--some of us have been here for a year, others are just starting out--

No it's not a competition! Grin

Every month we start again so if you miss anything don't worry!

I think on the other Flying thread they try to do more (missions, zones etc)

There is No pressure on anyone to do it - just do what you feel you can! Smile

CatsInChaos · 01/09/2012 16:44

Cakebot I don't label pants, socks and vests. I just label the other things - shirts, jumpers, trousers, shoes, PE kit PE bag and plimsolls. And lunch box. Don't forget coats.

I have been checking we have school uniform today for DS. Most of last terms still fit but I had to buy PE shorts and plimsolls and need to get a few more pairs of trousers.

OP posts:
CatsInChaos · 01/09/2012 16:48

Some days you might find you just can't fit in some of the babysteps but please don't fret over it!

Life has a habit of throwing unexpected things at you.

--I haven't shined my sink yet-- Wink

Thanks Cats, I think I'll stick with you lovely lot then! I did my sink, now I'm going to toddle off to bed!

carrotsandcelery · 01/09/2012 23:52

I have NOT had a nervous breakdown and therefore consider today a success. Yay!

I hope everyone else got through ok too Grin

My friend arrived and collected the furniture (I am sure that counts as a declutter)and we got the animals fed and all the various children (not all mine) to all the various places they needed to be and the recycling that they won't collect from the kerb to the recycling centre enroute to somewhere else (also a declutter in my book).

AdoraBell · 02/09/2012 02:52

Had a nice day, mostly. Out this morning, back and did some cleaning then went into town for DDs to spend birthday money / pocket money.

OH is now still busying himself rearranging furniture despite being tired enough to fall alseep in the clinic yesterday. His choice.

Scout19075 · 02/09/2012 07:48

Well, we're back from the southwest coast but have stopped mid-way for a day or two at my in-laws (to break up the journey, you see, and to delay reality for another 36 hours).

So much to do! So much to sort! So much to read up on! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 02/09/2012 08:58

Hi Scout! I hope you had a good time.

Adora out of nosiness, if your dd is a similar age to mine, what does she like to spend her birthday money on? I am beginning to plan the budget and think about Christmas and all I can think of for dd is horsey stuff. She also needs a new bike and would like straighteners/tongs (although I am reluctant on that front). They are pretty big requests and I will need a couple of smaller ideas.

I am still in my pjs and feeling groggy. I need a Brew and a shower and I will be with it again.

blondiedollface · 02/09/2012 09:10

Going to be joining with VVV baby steps as 11 week old takes up most of my time but need to get a few more bits and pieces done each day currently have 3 damp loads of washing that need hanging up/tumbling and have stuff and more stuff just everywhere!! Ahhhh

To-Dos:
Hang up washing
Wash and sterilise baby bottles
Do rest of washing up

CatsInChaos · 02/09/2012 09:27

Morning all, I am also trying to wake up with a coffee. DD had me awake at various times in the night. Sad

I will be with you all shortly with today's babystep.

Argh! DS has just found my secret Chocolate. So I had to give him some!

Those who are new to motherhood will realize you don't often get many things for only you --so I and DH have resorted to an occasional Secret bedtime stash of treats (chocolate)-- Grin

Welcome to blondiedollface Smile. I understand what a challenge it is to get the washing done although my youngest is now 3years. Blush It is quite hard to get anything done when you have a young baby so make sure you don't try to do too much. I also guess you won't be getting a full night's sleep either so don't be too hard on yourself! You are very welcome to join us anyway. Smile
