Trying to get motivated to do lunch --pathetic I know-- Just really struggling today.

Need to phone doc to see if I can get an appointment or I will run out of meds.
Funeral is next week. Sad

I think I am also down cause before we got bad news last week I was making a good recovery. Life and death give you a good kick in the wrong direction for a while!!

Don't want to drag everyone's mood down so feel free to ignore!

Zoo you have my sympathies, must be very hard to try and carry on with "normal" life with all that disruption!

despite feeling horribly queasy from doing ds stool sample i will valiantly attach iv and consume offered goodies

plasterers have chuffed off for the day sighing the plumbers are on a training course.no idea when kitchen is being done

ds has done sample to be tested at hospital.no school this week as even if recovers today im informed by gp neds 48hr after illness abates before allowed to return.
school were whining about his attendance after a shocking 67% last year..to be fair he had chicken pox at beginning of the year,3 ear infections, tummy troubles, flu and a number of colds that started with fevers and lethargy so had a few days off for that.when i spoke to school this morning they require him to see gp as,and i quote,"his immune system is shot"
as a result of informing gp their concerns when he has recovered from this he will be referred to the hospital for a barrage of bloods to be taken to test his immune system and see anything unterward is going on
he has a genetic problem and from birth he had a few health problems, whether this is related or not remains to be seen as prognosis with these things is sketchy at bestSad

sorry for being such a grump.either kick me firmly up the arse, slap me with a wet fish or tickle me into submission!!!!!!!!!

AdoraBell · 12/09/2012 15:43

cats I find that a death always brings me down, I think you should expect to feel rough on that front for at least a few days after the funereal. In other words, try not to worry about feeling bluegh, you have good reason to. I hope you can get to see the Dr soon.

zoo Shock- bloody builders -

I do love it when the school gives and expert medical diagnosisHmm, I hope the test show good results.

As I was out I popped into the supermarket, nearest loo, so shopping has been got and put away, dogs are fed & watered, nets are in the WM and DW has been emptied and refilled. Few more jobs to do then I need to head out again.

Scout19075 · 12/09/2012 21:16

Be kind to yourself, Cats.

cats its amazing what something as simple as a few decent hours kip can do!Smile

today i have got the girls off to school,ds is still at home obviously.poor lamb has to wait until the girls are in school for breakfast as if ate first chances are bum exploding would have stopped the girls getting in!

no sign of the plasterers/plumber so i am not intending to pussyfoot around anymore waiting for them to get their ideas together.the washing machine is on

i am now heading upstairs to attempt to start sorting the bedrooms properly and eliminate the plaster dust that is still everywhere despite damp cloth wiping abound!
we are currently tripping over the cardboard boxes of belongings stashed everywhere so it will be fairly slow and meticulous as intend to have a good sort out

it is long overdue mind-you know how itis, stuff things in cupboard and "ignore" it.befoe you know it cupboard is full and stash next available spot etc....i suspect there will be a few binbags broken toys and quite a stash stuff no longer age appropriate to pass on etc but i need to do it as their dad is all but guarenteed to buy too much at christmas!

CatsInChaos · 13/09/2012 13:58

Hi all, I have sorted washing to go in machine --but it's not made it into machine yet-- will do that in a mo.
Have sorted recycling stuff and put out as today is collection day, also done 15 mins in the kitchen.
also done:
made bed
get dressed
breakfast
School run
nursery run (there and back and there and back again)
shopping (for essentials)

Having a late lunch now.

Scout19075 · 13/09/2012 16:57

Not much flying but just about everything on today's to do list has been ticked as "done."

Good swimming session. Toddler is the only boy in his class this term (last term there was another who only came about 35% of the time). He had a whale of a time, as always.

liveinazoo · 13/09/2012 18:47

liveinazoo · 13/09/2012 18:47

that should ve said rather quiet at the beginning!Blush

Scout19075 · 13/09/2012 21:16

That should be Toddler's the only boy surrounded by girls. He doesn't care I just find it interesting watching the population demographics of various groups/activities.

AdoraBell · 13/09/2012 21:58

I've had a lazy old day here, think I'm hiding from the fact that DDs are off school for a couple of weeks from tomorrow. Normally it would be a good thing, but a new estate agent is taking photos Sat morning and the existing agent needs to update photos too. So with the 2 of them here and at each other's throats it feels like an impossible task to get the house in order, so I'm making like an ostrichBlush. Laundry's under control and the lounge & dining room and spare rooms are presentable, I just need to run the vacuum cleaner around, but upstairs- just don't look.

DDs did their presentation today, the whole school does traditional dance in costume. Chile has a few traditional dances from different regions, including the Easter Islands. My two did cueca, ladies wear a floral dress and men formal cowboy attire.

Cats glad to see you are feeling a bit better.

Zoo well done on getting on with things and not waiting for the plumber to turn up.

Scout glad Toddler isn't fazed by the boy/girl ratio. My friend's DD has just discovered a boy who is different to all the others, she's 8, but that's because he's not a boy, he's her friend.

Carrots hello , thought you'd gone off for another holiday

carrotsandcelery · 13/09/2012 23:16

Hello again everyone!

I am having a bit of a rough run.

We are back in touch with the psychologist as ds's sleep pattern has gone to pieces since the bullying incident last Thursday.

Twilight is also having health problems and is weeing everywhere. I have spent a large part of the day following her with a mop and bucket of disinfectant. I have had to order her doggy nappies. It would be funny if it wasn't so incredibly sad. We thought the treatment had sorted it but it seems not to be the case. Sad

liveinazoo · 14/09/2012 08:22

big hugs for carrots and lots good vibes in twilights direction

i discovered scooby doo is on at 8am on bbc2 so the zoolets sort themselves at warp speed so that they can watch it
dd2 lunch is packed along rest her bag, they are all dressed, hair ready, teeth brushed etc.....
we just have throw on shoes and we good to goShock
little zoo has a tendancy to need chivyng along but s.d seems the answerGrin!!

ds is still unwell having "bottom problems"Sad his results are back monday-if he still not well then i think will have to actually see the gp.

no idea if plumbers/plasterers are going to show faces so washing is on,should be ready to come out when i get back from school run

ok,iys finished.i need to stop pratting around on here and get them off to school.be back later!

CatsInChaos · 14/09/2012 18:17

Hi all, this is the first time I have got near the computer today. Shock

Just off to read the thread.

OP posts:
CatsInChaos · 14/09/2012 18:29

Zoo hope things are a bit less chaotic with you now and hope DS is starting to get better.
Did the plumbers/plasterers turn up?

How are things with you carrots?

Adora well done on your laundry and good luck with the estate agents.

Scout glad toddler enjoyed swimming.

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 14/09/2012 19:22

No flying done today Sad but Toddler and I had a wonderful day.

bessie26 · 14/09/2012 21:37

Sorry to hear DS & twilight are having a bad time carrots Sad, and that DS is still poorly zoo

We came back from holidays this afternoon, cases are all unpacked & back under the spare bed, and WM on it's third load.

What happened to all the new people?

AdoraBell · 15/09/2012 01:53

Carrots so sorry to hear that DS is suffering again. I hope the psychologist can help him. And poor twighlight too.

Welcome "home" bessie hope everyone enjoyed the holiday.

Well, got the house sorted, DDs even tidied their spaces, and the estate agent has cancelled. She's sick, as is her DH and baby. On the plus side OH was introduced a couple of days ago to the owners of the other agent and so now that he's been formerly introduced by a mutual friend they are going to look into selling the house themselves. He's a jammy sod at times, my OHGrin

DDs are on holiday now. It started off badly, Señorita Stroppy was on formAngry. I'm hoping for vast improvements over the weekend.

bessie26 · 15/09/2012 08:41

it's cold here this morning! I've just been getting the girls to try on some of their warmer clothes to see what fits!

CatsInChaos · 15/09/2012 08:59

Welcome home bessie hope you all had a good time.

I honestly don't know where all the new people have gone. Sad
I hope some of them come back! it was nice to have some "new faces" around.
--Perhaps I scared them away with my talk of grief--
--or maybe they just couldn't handle it-- Wink
