Grin I'll be lurking on and off Arti Wink

I have had a nice peaceful morning --apart from the before school chaos-- and am feeling refreshed again! Smile DD is back at nursery (only in the mornings though) so I will be off to fetch her soon.

I wandered into town earlier and got wet in the rain. Looks like it might start raining again soon. Hmm

Hows it going zoo?

I might pop back in this afternoon.

Meant to say, I have an arts and crafts corner in the dining room, it helps keep me organised --kind of-- . I share the storage with the DC ,they keep felt tips etc there and I keep all my art/painting stuff there so I know where it is. Smile

Back home Yay! Not much actual proper flying will happen today as I unload the car, unpack, sort out the weekly menu/shopping list/shopping/shopping away. Plus now that schools are in full swing activities here are starting up again and today is the start of the new Children's Center schedule. They listened to the uproar reinstated the indoor/outdoor active group on Monday afternoons and after mentioning it to Toddler he's been pestering reminding me all trip home-- morning that today is B.B. We'll go to that, come home and chill for a bit then TS will have an early dinner before we have to collect MrScout.

I tried to convince MrScout to drop us at home then drive himself to work but because he got a late start and we hit traffic trying to get out of the town/suburb where my PiL live we didn't get to YOUT until 10:30. He thought if he dropped us off he wouldn't get into the office until after 11:00 and "that would be cheeky." Grumble, grumble. I tried my hardest, especially when he said he might go back to YOUT in the evening for a lecture to which my response was "You're going to leave with Toddler who won't sleep until 8:30/9:00 because you don't want to take 20 minutes to drop us off?!" I got "But I don't know if I'll go to YOUT tonight." Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Hi everyone

I'm having a slow start, think my inner teenager is in right stropWink
OH We bought new big beds for DDs, I told OH to make sure you get mattress protectors he got mattress covers. DD2 wet last night.

Beddingnis in the WM, mattress has been sponged, breakfast things are still strewn around the kitchen and the dogs are looking at me like - it wasn't me, honest. DDs have been packed off to school with fresh salmon sarnies.

I'll report back when I feel I've achieved something, like chocolate cake, TTFN

Popping in to say - not too bad so far, but need to not get distracted again now!!

Scout19075 · 10/09/2012 20:06

Um.... just found an elementary school teacher of mine on FB. She was my homeroom teacher for fourth grade but I had her for various classes from third to fifth. A couple of my friends from school (or the siblings of friends) are FB friends with her. Do I dare send a request or just pretend I didn't see it? I had an unusual surname before I was married (though my FB is only in my married name) so she'd probably remember my surname if not me.

educatingarti · 10/09/2012 20:46

Scout - why not - she can always ignore it if she doesn't want ex-pupils as "friends" and it seems as though she is hapy about it, given that other ex-students have "friended" her!

Not to bad today - done nearly 7 hours work, though spent more time on some things than I should have done! Nearly zilch housework though!

AdoraBell · 11/09/2012 02:51

Scout I agree, as she already has ex-pupils it's clearly not a boundary issue, and she can always ignore.

I haven't achieved much at all today, not even chocolate cake

Clean washing has been put away, everyone has been fed and watered and tomorrow's packed lunch is halfway done. I did clean the kitchen floor right after breakfast, I'm getting fed up with having hair and dirt from the dogs on the kitchen floor constantly, no matter how many times I sweep/vacuum/mop. I think I'm just getting frustrated in general. I have to bring them in to take the car out, but OH doesn't want them in the house , so they live in the garden, so they are appropriately grubby, even with hose-pipe showers.

This week's Zone is exactly what needs doing here anyway, so I'll get some of that done tomorrow between dentist, dropping puppies off to be neutered and collecting DDs. Walls need washing too, but that may have to wait until Wednesday. Tomorrow afternoon I am making a chocolate cake no matter what happens, I bought butter and everything today.

Carrots thanks for the tooth sympathy. Hopefuly it'll be sorted soon, I have the second appt booked already so all I have to do is turn up.

Popping in again briefly. Did loads of work yesterday but not as much (hardly any) housework - need to do some today as I have parents waiting while I teach students and the dust in my living room has reached highly visible proportions!

Fibro appointment was OK - no startling breakthroughs in treatment but they will write to my GP and suggest she could start me on a particular drug that might help (Something the consultant said he would do in May, but didn't!! Angry ) Don't have much confidence in the consultant tbh as the letter he wrote my GP really didn't match my memory of the consultation in several respects! Saw a nurse on his team today who was better though! The consultant seemed to think I didn't have much to worry about as I was still working and I wasn't depressed! Er, hello... I'd hope I wouldn't be depressed as I'm taking anti-depressants that are actually working!! Doesn't mean that everything still isn't a fight and a struggle though!!

CamperWidow · 11/09/2012 14:35

Afternoon all!
The weekend kinda disappeared in a round of visits/picnics/relatives/walks/ parties then it was Lols b'day yesterday so she is still in manic mode.
Not got any lists but checking in to say 'I'm still here!'

educatingarti · 11/09/2012 15:35

Afternoon. Hmm - place seems kind-a deserted! I haven't done too badly on work-work today (2 3/4 hours worth plus a hospital appointment) so just aiming to catch up on a bit of housework and personal admin before first student comes! Feeling slightly more structured and organised this week! Smile

AdoraBell · 11/09/2012 18:17

Artie did you tell the consultant about your anti-depressants? I know he should be aware but sometimes you need to point out the bleeding obvious.

I'm out running errands, dentist, bank, vet and shopping before pick-up.
Did the usual morning routine plus washed my bedding, fed dogs. Later I need to get curtains down to wash, then I'm baking because my inner teenager still wants chocolate cake.

I'm a bit miffed with school. There's a hockey match coming up, too far to drive in 1 day. So, plan is each DC stays with a family locally. No info as to who the family is and they want an answer today, on the phone without sending any info home. Because I'm an awkward foreigner they are going to send the info today but I must answer tomorrow. I'm not comfortable with being pressured.

educatingarti · 11/09/2012 18:33

Adora- of course - gave him a list of all the medications I am on and actually had a discussion with him about the possibility of ADs interacting with other drugs!

Scout19075 · 11/09/2012 20:28

Insane day. Back in a bit!

AdoraBell · 11/09/2012 21:10

And he still didn't add the two things up artie, the mind boggles at times, doesn't it?

Scout19075 · 11/09/2012 23:08

Arti, my cardiologist seemed to do something similar this year when I went for my annual check-up. Though in my case I think it was a matter of one accent not understanding the other. Grin We often have trouble understanding each other. Blush

I am going to need swift kicks tomorrow.

AdoraBell · 12/09/2012 03:13

I'll be a bit late reporting in tomorrow, I have to do the school run as OH has a very early meeting. So I did some laundry this evening, and prepped the packed lunches. DDs had friends over today so I didn't get all the curtains down for washing, will do that in the morning. Puppies have been collected for neutering, that confused the big dogs.

I still need to put the clean sheets back on my bed, only 1 set, before I can crawl into it.

Scout19075 · 12/09/2012 09:51

I was on fire but Toddler has decided sitting on my lap is the place to study his train catalog.

My lovely camera seems to be having issues. Sad I feel naked without it (not that I wear it all the time, mind, but part of my to do list was to photo certain things, post them and email the folks to say the pictures are up). Gah!

I'm motoring through my list today but can feel the crash coming. Toddler is being whingey -- I think he's hungry but I simply cannot cook pasta any faster.

AdoraBell · 12/09/2012 12:24

I had to drag myself out of bed, currently loitering in car park avoiding the peak rate road toll and sipping coffee. I have a looooong To Do list to tackle when I get home, starting with washing net curtains.
