How often is your home totally spotless...

...from top to bottom (or end to end)?

And when was the last time it was like that?

I'd say a couple of times a year here Blush and the last time was about 2 months ago Sad

I just can't have it all looking good at the same time, thanks to the constant mountain or laundry, messy DCs and their friends, and constantly feeding people.

When I had 2 DC it was spotless at least once a week. Then I had a third DC and lost control of my life.

Hardly ever is the answer :(

PetiteRaleuse · 19/06/2012 12:48

The day we moved in, three years ago. The next time will be when I clean it the day we move out.

I have a dog, cats, a toddler, and am really lazy and messy myself.

MirandaWest · 19/06/2012 12:48

Just before the letting agent comes to do an inspection. And even then they still find something to complain about tbh.

Notinmylife · 19/06/2012 12:49

It hasn't happened yet, maybe one day in the future when I can afford a cleaner, but I doubt it! Smile

BlackOutTheSun · 19/06/2012 12:50

Do a good clean once a week, then a bit everyday. but I'm a sahm with 1 dd

Beamur · 19/06/2012 12:50

Never.

alison222 · 19/06/2012 12:56

Never. It does get close sometimes though but we all have too much stuff for it to be spotless.

mummakaz · 19/06/2012 12:58

Mine has never been spotless tbh, my sil's flat is always spotless and she has 2 young dc's but not alot of stuff I have too much shit so I guess thats where I'm going wrong so thats how she keeps it spotless imo

parachutesarefab · 19/06/2012 12:59

Never

ceebeegeebies · 19/06/2012 13:01

As someone else said, the day we moved in Grin

I often look round and think that we will never move as it would just be too difficult to get it lookin geven halfway reasonable for prospective buyers Blush Too much crap, not enough storage and not enough time...

LST · 19/06/2012 13:04

My house is nearly always spotless on the surface...

(inside wardrobes and cupboards and cubby holes is a different matter)

I believe I'm a bit OCD with my cleaning though. I'm obsessed. It doesn't matter who tired I am I have to make sure my sofas are straight and everywhere is tidy before I go to bed each night. Blush

I don't enjoy it though.

zlist · 19/06/2012 13:20

Depends on the standard of 'spotless'!

Completely spotless (Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, all cupboards perfectly ordered, no little DIY jobs need doing, garden no weeds at all - everything completely perfect) - Never!

Surface spotless (every where tidy & clean) - several times a week.

akaemmafrost · 19/06/2012 13:23

Same as zlist on the surface most of the time but cupboards and drawers are shocking Blush.

BonnieBumble · 19/06/2012 13:26

Never.

Wallace · 19/06/2012 13:28

never

Onlyaphase · 19/06/2012 13:29

Never.

iWILLdothis · 19/06/2012 13:32

Never ever

AllDirections · 19/06/2012 13:35

In my defence of never having a tidy house, my cupboards and drawers are always tidy because I have to work from the inside out.

tethersend · 19/06/2012 13:43

Never.

When we hoover, DD asks who is coming round.

sayonaragirl · 19/06/2012 13:56

Never! I have rooms which are spotless but I can never get the whole house spotless at the same time.

I would love to sit down with a cup of tea smug in the knowledge I have nothing to do but It has never happened.

Itchywoolyjumper · 19/06/2012 13:59

Cleaning my house is like painting the Forth Bridge, I get to the end of it and the start needs doing again.
DS, who is 2, dances about singing 'Tidy up, tidy up' and 'Hoover, mummy, hoover' so I feel properly ashamed Blush

Halfling · 19/06/2012 14:12

Never.

Probably last year when my mate came to stay. I just don't have the time to dedicate a whole day to clean the house top to botttom.

Mum2Fergus · 19/06/2012 21:02
