Welcome to the thread where we try to do what we can.

Some of you might like to try:
babysteps

Others may just want to do what you feel you can.
Life has a habit of throwing hurdles in the way!
Lets try to do what we can one step at a time.

All newcomers welcome. Smile

Yes Carrots permission granted

And Yes Carrots it was vile, I had to pick them off, and out of, the carpet and then the door frame with all those rubber seals with the creases, normal PVC patio doors. Lot's of spaces just right for creatures of that size. OH at last got rid of what was left outside, but more maggots came in overnight. I know because I was awake and kept checking. This morning I've picked up a few more and given it a liberal spray of fly killer. I left it until the DDs are at school as the chemicals her are much more potent than in the UK.

Then, at dinner last night the cheeky B'stard had the audacity to ask me not to park in the school car park because it's muddy. Mud on the outside of the car v maggots inside the house. I still feel sick, and stabby. Very stabby. I do have four German Shepherds here, I could set them on him.

I'm going to fold the clean washing while I think about it.

carrotsandcelery · 19/06/2012 15:00

Adora I too would be very stabby if dh had done that. I suspect it won't help though Grin I would be telling him exactly what I thought of the keeping the car clean suggestion though and also be making him do the rest of the demaggoting as they appear. Shock

Scout that is quite a long list for a lazyitus day Shock

AdoraBell · 19/06/2012 15:43

Carrots He knows, after the car comment last night I asked him if he had cleared the vacuum filter as promised. I didn't want to use it and get maggots left in it, he insisted it was the only that we could get at them.

When he said he had forgotten to clean it I just looked at him. He went off and cleaned it, and this morning sorted out the puppies without a word. Also, I slept in DD2's room, they were both in DD1's. I refused to use the same bed as him on the basis that I couldn't sleep "because of the maggots"

What's making me really stabby though, is the hypocrisy. So, next time he berates the DDs or me for our imperfections I shall inform that after what he caused he no longer has anyright to comment.

Moving on,

Puppies are fed and watered, half the clean washing is organised and the WM has finished. DW has been emptied and topped up.Dustbin is out and DDs were packed off to school with a rapidly constructed sarnie and a couple of bought cakes. Not what I want them to eat but I'm not beating myself up over it, because I haven't slept. I'm having breakfast and yet another coffee

by the way adoraim in favour hang draw and quartering your dhGrin

carrotsandcelery · 19/06/2012 19:35

These ituses seem to be highly contagious.

I hope I didn't spread it Blush

Tell you what, lets blame Adora's dh and his maggots Grin

AdoraBell · 20/06/2012 03:48

Yep, Carrots, I'm too tired to work out what it is, but it's almost definitely down to OH's maggots, garuanteed.

Well, other than more laundry and playing with puppies, I really can't remember what I've done. Took the DDs out for a posh snack post pick-up -because the golf club don't have maggots - fed puppies, did dinner and then flopped with a glass of wine. I'm gong to bed now. Tomorrow I need to go shopping.

carrotsandcelery · 20/06/2012 08:19

Morning all!

I am hoping that:
Scout slept well
Adora slept well and that her dh demaggoted during the night and when her morning comes
zoo's dcs are germ free and that her sofa is miraculously beautifully fragrant
Cats is continuing to feel more like her happy, cheerful, houseworking self
the antibac spray eradicated all ituses and we all feel good today Grin

carrotsandcelery · 20/06/2012 08:22

Oh and ta das:
washed and dressed - bath drained fast again today Smile
both dcs have a packed lunch today so that is done
ds's snacks are sorted
still trying to get ds to eat breakfast Hmm

educatingarti · 20/06/2012 09:33

Apologies for absence

Ta dahs today so far
Up breakfasted showered dressed
Filled in form to cash in part of income bond and walked to post box to post it
Load of washing in machine ( last sunny day for a bit I believe!)
Just about to start work

Adora, I'm blaming your DH and the maggots for the fact that the inside of my car is a total tip ( think skip on wheels ) Grin

I think you should keep a photo of a maggot, and every time he gets critical, just place it in front of him and don't say anything!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 20/06/2012 09:53

Carrots Today I feel tired and urgh! So not too happy. If I could, I would go back to bed --even though I got quite a lot of sleep-- DS has a cold and a sick bug so is home today. I feel like I may be coming down with something. Sad

AdoraBell · 20/06/2012 15:02

Arti, yep, it's all his fault, whatever you have that needs cleaning, sorting or curing, it's absolutely his fault for being a dirty B'stard lazy individual

Cats hope you feel better soon, and DS too.

Carrots thanks, I did sleep (dreams weren't too pleasant tho, bleedin imagination) and OH did do the demaggoting, although he didn't have to stay up all night because I did so much the night before.Angry

Arti I got a photo, great ideaGrin. I used the iPhone, but my iPhone is broken- so I'm using the OH's for a while, ha ha

Not many more Ta Da's to report

We went out and had a lovely lunch, got a bit of shopping - nothing exciting, then came home to find that one of the puppies had escaped the pen and was running around the house chewing things and peeing. This is because the OH didn't spend 20 seconds putting a piece of wire on the corner of the mesh when DD1 showed him that they can wriggle out. He's done it now.

I left him dealing with that while I dashed to pick up the DDs from school, back home and we all had a slice of gateaux so the DDs felt they were celebrating our anniversary with us. Fed the puppies, fed the DDs, done a wash, sorted shopping, loaded DW and am watching TV, my feet are aching because of walking around in heels all afternoon. Still need to prep packed lunch, they want the same again so easy planning, put the gateaux away, may have to cut another little piece off, just so it fits in the fridge of course

Scout19075 · 21/06/2012 09:01

To Dos and Ta Dahs for today:

get Toddler & I up

order Mom's co-worker's goods
find mobile phone
charge mobile phone (when found)
hang colors line
print numbers for number line
email, Seniors, outdoor cooking
email, Guider friend, outdoor cooking & Seniors
call for Toddler's haircut (though number in mobile so could be tricky)
wash down stove
wash down counter
