DD has asked for fish fingers for lunch so I have some in the oven.

Glad her appetite is returning!

Lunch is done so I'm off to make a start now.

I always feel better when mine have eaten well Cats.

I have been learning to do Manga drawing as dd got a couple of books for her birthday showing you how to do it. It's great fun

The sun is beaming down on us now and the snow is thawing. Hopefully most of it will go before the frost tonight.

Dh has gone to work now that our street has been ploughed. It is uphill and twisty so very tricky if it hasn't been cleared.

I think we are about to make some blueberry and raspberry muffins. I will share the recipe if it turns out half way decent. They have buttermilk in them. Is that healthier or very unhealthy?

Oh pants! It was glorious sunshine and the snow was melting so dh headed off to work in my car (his is still out of action). It is now snowing so heavily I cannot see the house next door.

Carrots will your DH be able to get home alright if it keeps snowing?

Oh double pants! I have just realised that ds has fallen asleep on the sofa. To wake or not to wake? I don't think I can face it but know I will pay for it if I don't. Pants! Pants! Pants!

The snowfall has stopped again thank goodness and it is thawing. I can see bits of the grass.

did you wake ds and face the wrath carrots?
little zoo is flagging badly and has had 2 tantrums in last 15mins

my ADs have been tinkered with and spent all weekend in bed feeling ill,tinkered with again and now im struggling to stay awake
pity its not a restful sleep i feel just as tired an sluggish

have decided to have a go at mushroom risotto for teaon the grounds if i nod off again as long as i set the timer dinner will be saved!!!!

p.s carrots i cant vouch for the healthiness of buttermilk-isnt it the excess liquid from butter production?-but i know that you can substitute natural yogurt for it in recipes

Had a last-minute trip to soft play with "big friends" -- and 2.5 hours of running around and climbing is just what Toddler needed.

Hello everyone. I have missed you all. It has been lonely here today.

We made the muffins and they are a bit meh. They smelt divine but were a bit tasteless.

I chickened out of waking ds. I am not supposed to let him snooze but it was one of those days. He is running around in the snow with a watering can now full of beans. If I had woken him he would have whinged all afternoon and not eaten etc.

I may pay for it tonight though and will know I only have myself to blame.

I nearly fell asleep myself with my head on dd's lap. We seem to be on role reversal today as she is insisting on cooking tea as well and got ratty when I tried to help Macaroni with peas and sweetcorn tonight.

was fun making pancakes with dd2 this morning

the risotto smells nice.i hope it isnt lacking as i CBA make anything else!
found another batch recipes id taken from various places so ive told dc we are eating almost entirely new things this holiday-thank goodness that doesnt them too much as i try to make something new at least once a fortnight so they dont get too settled in same old routines

at least if he doesnt sleep carrots its not a guessing game as to why

i can confirm oven baked mushroom risotto from hopelesshoousewifeis lovely!kids had spoonful philadelphia stirred through and even mushroom hating dd2 ate it

Oooh zoo any links to the recipe? The dcs are not mushroom fans but I like the sound of an oven baked risotto as they are a pita to stand and stir constantly.

I have been drawing another manga girl. It's quite satisfying. I have handed it over to dd to colour in as I gave ds the manga robot I did mid afternoon to colour in.

Ds has come through from the loung stinking of drumstick lollipops. Dh has a bag in his bedside drawer hidden from them. When I question him about it he gets the giggles but won't confess. He is giving me the giggles too.

i went to bloggers and looked under food and it wasnt there

then i tried putting it in a search engine and it gave me a discussion where you linked to bessie26-that no longer exsists apparently!

can you explain to this old idiot how to find it

p.s carrots when i hear the words confess i always think of the head teacher in Matilda book snarling at that little boy for eating her chocolate cake!
