Have just heard a survey that says 1 in 20 of us only change our bedding twicw a year. How disgusting... remind me not to day ver at their homes. There is nothing nicer than gettting in to newly washed sheets. Who are these people? Come on own up how often do you change yours?

Because of the dust Mary.

Complicated bedding

Clary · 13/02/2011 00:11

Oh so a sham is one of those cushions people hav eon the bed that they throw off before getting in?

(wonders anew what the pont of them is Smile)

So do you not sleep under the duvet then?

HelenBa · 13/02/2011 00:14

once a week here but only iron pillow cases, and not sure that students are responsible for the horrible annual rate as the reason I do mine once a week is because that's how it worked in halls and i've just stuck with it ever since :)

Once every fortnight at the moment due to my hosuekeeping strike

DreamTeamGirl · 13/02/2011 00:28

I think QBee has sheets below the duvet
Does seem very complicated

I have two stunning throws, quilted, that cover the whole bed and make it look finished when not in use, but I almost never sleep under them and only wash them every 2-3 months
They are essential cos all 3 cats sleep on the bed and moult a lot, but the cat hair doesnt stick to the throws! Result!!

once every fortnight, one week dhs and mine the other the dcs bedding. lots of airing in between.
I have 3 sets of bedding rotating don*t have space for more. if "granny shopaholic" gets us a new set, we usually give it to charity unless it is much better than our older but very very soft ones.
no ironing here, just stragegic drying.

QBEE - do you have duvet covers and flat sheets (as well as fitted/bottom sheets). It sound like a lot of bedding, plus the shams, whatever they are.

I will admit to being one of the eco-slatternly once a month people. Can't imagine changing sheets once a day. We do wear PJs though.

Crikey!

I obviously have some kind of bedding OCD.
