There were other questions too, will see if i can find it one day. Have to be fair it's normally just Christmas for me too, though i'm sure there have been other occasions.

Nanny fell down the stairs today!! I'm rubbish at thinking what to do, but managed to sit her down, put her foot up & get my wine ice pack (seemed appropriate, lol) for her foot. She's limping badly but reckons she's ok to drive home. Have told her not to rush back, sure she'll get home & her Dad will rush her off to A&E and i'll feel terrible. She's 20 but quite sheltered and her parents look after her a lot still. Hope they don't think i'm a bad employer!

Oh, and my Mum rang, they found pre-cancerous cells on my Dad's foreskin so he had a circumcision on Fri, was meant to be straightforward but was back in hosp Fri night as couldn't wee, had a catheter put in which is still in and no definite date to take it out/do something. He's very unhappy - but won't talk about it so i 'don't know' officially Hmm Have told my Mum to be more assertive tomorrow with phone calls & finding someone to do something.

Mon:

  • all up DONE & breakfasted DONE
  • tidy kitchen, unload & reload dw, wm on DONE

  • online shop (7-8)
  • put away shopping (at least cold/frozen stuff anyway)
  • early quiet night for me

Longer term:

  • Find new dentist that is taking on NHS nervous patients for me/investigate private; DH thinks his will take me on too
  • make boys dentist appts
  • Photos: upload select photos of DC to Snapfish & order
  • order door curtain for front door, curtain for kitchen door & curtains for playroom
  • pictures to label 'animals' & 'people' & 'cars' boxes
  • pile of blankets & bedding to homeless centre (some basic shopping first & go through towels too)
  • research motability options for if/when we get mobility; Done More/DH doing

Chinese new year on Thursday - anyone any good at rustling up a good stir fry/chinese meal at home??? Hot tips please?!

Ok, so DH is supposed to be convalescing and I have come home after the morning out to find:

  1. Our log delivery neatly stacked in garage Hmm
  2. He is not here and neither is the dog!!! Possibly only gone to his Mum's (which is quite literally around the corner), but still I knew he would struggle to sit still and rest his leg!!!!

Hmmm. At this rate I might lose patience with my patient!

Evening :)

A listless day here, we went out to softplay and then lunch and then DS and I have been flopped on my bed - I even managed a 20 minute snooze! And the cleaner has been, hurrah.

I have pulled a stomach muscle today picking DS up - owwww it really hurts, partly because the baby has chosen that spot to kick! Shock

TO DO
Teatime (had big lunch)
Clear up
DH home 7ish?
DS bath and bed (DH I hope)

Anon - JKS is right, I'll be 33 weeks on Saturday. If a section is decided on at my scan next week, then that will be at 39 weeks - so potentially not long to go at all!
Hope DH is behaving himself better this evening. Mine would just sit and research car parts given some days of enforced rest Hmm

JKS - they are too organised over there, you and I are showing proper Slatternliness in the matter of hospital bag packing Grin

LadyT - sorry you are going, hope to see you back!

TimeWasting · 01/02/2011 19:44

I shall have a slanket and a blanket on later. Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/02/2011 20:21

I want a slanket, but DH has declared it a passion-killer and refuses to allow one in the house Grin

JustKeepSwimming · 02/02/2011 08:04

Ali - they are definitely too organised! But i was sitting here thinking oh at least i don't have to buy anything but then realised i still have to de-junk the baby room, get DH to get the baby clothes down from the loft, see what we actually have, etc. (it's the getting DH to do bits that takes the time if i'm honest!)

I know i'll be more tired when baby is here waking me several times a night but...right now i'm so tired, feel cold-y and tearful, thanks DS2 (4.42 today). I ignored him for a while but when i went in at 5.20 to get him he was bouncing on his brother's bed with the light turned on, grr. DS1 did go back to sleep for a bit i think.

JKS, it sounds so tiring.
It's so strange to imagine now, but when I first started posting on the thread DS2 was the epic sleeping boy, I guess he'd had enough of that, bless him. Smile

DS has been whingey and annoying so far, but I'm showered and dressed at least, and I've had lovely porridge.

Next -

  • fold dry washing and re-arrange airers
  • dry pots
  • another coffee
