quiet day on here!

Wendy hope you are still resting. Kind mum.

Nutty someone else's party - always a delight after giving one's own Smile

very pleased with myself for making time to have my friends to lunch on Friday (and it was only because no-one could decide on the cafe)
lots of walking today to and fro dropoffs and pickups, bit of window shopping in the party shop for halloween- steering dd clear of severed heads, did buy some frightening green hair though..altar serving practice, orchestra, choir, violin, football, lunch out

no housework except for one load of laundry, scrambled eggs for tea
did some piano practice whilst ds2 did a puzzle
read The Winslow Boy off a market stall for 50p,read the Guardian a bit (my neighbouring borough is in Space Nutty and my area is reviled Shock

so moderately pleasant day, although stillcannot get dh tomake any holiday/Xmas plansSad

Swan Space!!!! I would love to go there!!! I'm a Sci-fi fan (or I was when I read books)
I have neighbours across the road with kids the same age as Ds but because of our busy road he doesn't know them! Hmm
Went to see 'Made in Dagenham' yesterday. A must see movie for British women ( & their male partners.) Not the best film I have ever seen but I think some women have forgotten what some women did for us so that we can try and get equal pay. I don't think the fight is over but just more complicated!
I think t was then too!

Right whether I like it or not, I can' have a lazy Sunday. I can have a lazy Thursday though Grin
So I need to make my bed (DS can make his when he gets home)
Get DS to write two more Thank you letters (his writing is coming along so not as bad as last year!)
Make bulk beef stew
Ironing

Which one do you think might drop of my list?
have a lovely Sunday I think the sun is trying to peak out Smile

swanriver · 10/10/2010 15:09

NOOOO. The Space bit in the Guardian about local districts Nutty
tho am partial to a bit of scifi myself

Don't do the ironing! Do the bits that show only!

church and thenceforth horrid day so far, caused by rows over housework and lunch and subtle insults re: lawn mowing
but planning now to go to park and meet up with dh and possibly forgive and forget

planted some more bulbs before they rotted Smile

funtimewincies · 10/10/2010 20:22

Blimey, you've all been productive!

In my defence, m'lud, I had a tummy bug on Friday (not due to the state of my house though!) and was still pants on Saturday.

However, a joint blitz with dh has achieved...
Bathroom and shower room cleaned
Lawn mown
Laundry done
Ironing done
Shoes cleaned
Last of the runner beans cleared on the allotment
Onion bed dug and fertilised
Carrots harvested and bed weeded
Thank you letters for recent parties done
Summer clothes put away and winter jumpers found.

Tomorrow I'll have to tackle the kitchen floor which, for some reason, I hate.

Nuttybear · 10/10/2010 22:24

swan I'm really none the wiser about Space as I don't read the Guardian but I liked the idea of a Flylady in Outer Space.
P. S Shouldn't we all feel cheated that in the 21st century, its the robots who should be flying around our house cleaning!Sad
Funtime I'll swap kitchen floor for ironing. You lucky thing having a joint effort with DH. We have that once this year and it makes so much more productive spare time. But it during the summer hols when he didn't have School work!
Right see you lot on the other side I'm going to check our lottery ticket but I don't think it's us Smile

Nutty I love the idea of a robot flying around the house cleaning.

Have had a busy (noncleaning) weekend. I have been out yesterday with swimming lessons in the morning, party for afternoon/evening. Fantastic time had by all.
Then today dc asked to go up to London. When we got to the train station I picked up a leaflet of things to do in London. Dc decided that they wanted to go to the London TRansport Museum which we very nearly walked past but thanks to the lovely big issue seller gave me directions. (am still feeling guilty for not buying one of his mags now). We had a fab time then had a wander round covent garden before coming home.

since got home I have;
washed up a weekends worth of dishes Blush
sorted dry washing
ironing
unloaded/ loaded washer
tidy
hoover
blogged
