how strange.. I did post a message, but it isn't here

deep cleaned bedrooms again [sigh]
heaped up piles of laundry which will tackle tomorrow
hoovered playroom
filled bag of rubbish
chatted to friend

hope you got your lie-down Wendy even if it was just 10 mins

now tackling hoovering of tidied bedrooms, have pulled out beds, horrid dust/applecores/powerrangers behind

Jas · 27/09/2010 13:07

Sorry for absence. I read lst weeks thread, then got distracted and didn't follow the linkBlush

Thanks for the thread Wendy. I hope you got a rest.

Morning swan Smile I have spent too long on here and not got the bedrooms done yet. still no proper lists either.
I am so rubbish on the computer I spend longer trying to make my list look neat, and don't get it done at all as a result. I may have to do it on paper and type up the finished resultBlush

swanriver · 27/09/2010 13:46

bedrooms hoovered/dusted/polished - they do look better but I still haven't made the twins' beds
now kitchen - I'm putting the timer on -this could take all afternoon if I get distracted

jas I bet you are doing better than me Smile

scattyspice · 27/09/2010 16:29

Hi all. Is it bedrooms this week?

Also very tired as DDs excema reappeared during the night Confused resulting in a midnight hunt and application of hydrocortisone cream and lots of settling back to sleep (by which time I was wide awake).

Done:
laundry reboot

realitychick · 27/09/2010 16:49

Hi all
Scatty - sympathy. My sons both get it from time to time. It's so aggravating to them. I end up keeping the hydrocortisone on their bedside table!

Wendy - hope your hip's feeling better after last week.

Today: mopped and hoovered. Again.
Cleaned kitchen
dishwasher rebooted

But no laundry done yet. Eek - behind.

Done 3/4 of mahoosive report for work though and am just off to make a veggie dinner for family - trying to wean them off too much meat so it's macaroni-cauli cheese with peas and carrots.

Is it bedrooms this week? Ours haven't been tidied in a month at least.

wendyhappysmile · 27/09/2010 20:46

It's Living Room this week LOL - my bedrooms need doing too!
Didn't get a nap of course, am trying for an early night. More endless sorting of baby stuff.
See you tomorrow

well bedrooms are the new living room SmileI hope my dcs spend more time there now and do not destroy the ancestral peace of the parlour. Dd is unable to stay in her room without a mammal - she was mooching around at 9 pm desperately searching for a cat, as there was no human available. She really needs a sister to share with, it's a bit sad really...

Ds went to Cubs, everyone did their homework at 5pm, Ds was not picked for Tag Rugby Tournament after training today - he was sad, I was relieved. A nice calm day really, until bedtime when dd started going off rails again...

Reality well done on your work
Scatty I hope tonight is better for dd's eczema and you.

Jas · 28/09/2010 10:32

missions in the sitting roomSmile

Just checking in really. Have done nothing except have a row with dp so far today.
Going to do some housework and take my anger out on the kitchen!

Nuttybear · 28/09/2010 11:36

never ever discuss politics with men

they can fight it out amongst themselves in the pub

dh is being saintly at moment (well apart from pancake incident)

I have a sore shoulder, it is making me feel old and arthritic.
just off out on some errands.
Good luck with ironing Nutty, it is seriously depressing, but put a good film on, or some v. loud music.

house looking better after yest, although yest seemed to be v unproductve. Only took a moment to tidy dcs rooms this morning as they were properly sorted. And I've moved ds2's bed around so that is always a tonic, dusting wise Wink

Nuttybear · 28/09/2010 12:26

I've widiki'd it and going to leave it on top of the books he need to mark! Some of them from Afghan student that have been here 6 years!

Hi all.

Jas - hope the kitchen looked better for your anger!
nutty - agree re men and politics (also sport and directions).
swan - we should arrange a dd twinning scheme (your dd could bunk up with my equally needy dd for a week, then they could both go to yours for a week!).
reality - good tip, hydrocortisone now stashed in bedroom draw.
wendy - babystuff - exciting Smile.
dyl - argos for christmas presents- impressive .

Done:
dd to friends for tea (yay)

I've read that! Smile a bit like us on here really Blush

we've had a busy afternoon, Gaelic Football (whatever that is) followed by swimming for fun - all went well until I refused to buy dd a smoked salmon bagelShock and it went downhill from there Hmm
however have managed by forcefeeding baked potatoes at one end and offering 7pm Simpsons episode at other to make everyone do their homework Smile and all have gone to bed peacefully.

Kitchen has sunk low again though... How many saucepans does it take to make baked potatoes, five apparently Blush

hi all
swan love the idea of a bracing list!
Feeling sore today - SIL picked up children yesterday and I went to big shopping centre for Xmas shop - cue lots of pelvic agony from walking miles in shopping centre!
Just tidying house this morning, haven't got out of the kitchen yet Blush - yes it is that bad! Stuff all over the place. Have also got caramelised onion chutney cooking on hob. Need to tidy much more, after busy weekend everything is everywhere.

Sick of this rain! Hate putting washing into the tumble drier, find it much more of a chore than hanging out! Prob because drier is in the garage, so have to walk from back porch to garage - what a long way NOT.

swanriver · 29/09/2010 12:13

kind SIL!
chutney mmm - more xmas presents perhaps?

bulbs planted yay - been putting that off because all the bedding plants are still in flower, but now they are a bit more derelict it's easier to find a space
made another pile of garden rubbish

now errands, and scrub fingernails!

SimplySparkling · 29/09/2010 12:22

Hello everyone.

Sorry about last week. I popped on to say I'd be back after showering and dressing and then didn't appear again! Ooops!

It's good to see everyone here. I'm just going to read other posts and say a short hello from time to time for a while until I'm back into the swing of the thread, if that's okay with everyone. Smile

My must do jobs for this afternoon:
~ go to the bank
~ go to the library
~ fill in a form

swanriver · 29/09/2010 12:38

filled in two forms to post to bank
found envelope
found stamps [so slow]

hi Simply - hope you are suitably sparkly after that long shower Grin

swanriver · 29/09/2010 14:01

Have bought three doughnuts for after school - it is given me great pleasure to think I do NOT need or want them.
Now have Five Baptismal Forms to attach to applications, come wind come wrack

off to ss now

Nuttybear · 29/09/2010 18:22
