Morning all

OP posts:
swanriver · 01/10/2010 11:47

Possibly a relief in these dank autumn days not to have the side of your house off LOL

planners are minging aren't they. My mum is a master at outwitting them on architectural heritage - she once backed them into a corner over georgian bricks..mind you this was in Eire. The land of brown envelopes. She was from Basingstoke so did not understand about the brown envelope.

swanriver · 01/10/2010 11:49

otherwise a very very unproductive day, I had loads of time but did very little with it

swanriver · 01/10/2010 19:42

gardening tip - white cyclamen look good in stainless steel planters - practically the only zappy thing on the premises Hmm

scattyspice · 02/10/2010 18:07

Oo yes that sounds very stylish swan. I bought hot pink (dd influenced) cyclamen and daff bulbs from Lidl, we planted them in lime green pots Hmm. Eye catching if nothing else. Also bought halloween outfit for dd (has party invite), she was not at all keen as hates halloween (party could be difficult I fear).

Done:
petrol in car
get cash
laundry x2
homework x2
return lib books
buy/plant cyclamen and bulbs
garden tidy up
buy FD costume and presents for parties

Have been cheered by reading article in Guardian claiming watching TV is good for kids Grin.

swanriver · 02/10/2010 19:38

I must read the Guardian properly.. Get stuck in Family section, then vaguely sickened by silly recipes for cheese on toast and people wringing their hands over one thing or another [too much like home]

Lime green pots with pink sounds fab!

supper cooked and eaten (very delicious Smile dd has gone to a sleepover, Merlin on..tackling the unfinished curtain again

Makingchanges · 02/10/2010 19:44

Hi Guys

DH let me have a lie in today and I've been and had my hair cut - last thing I felt like doing but already cancelled once and really couldn't go into school looking like I did (think I'm worried I won't pas muster with the Y6's)

Still feeling grotty - stomach cramps have really lessened but feeling really sick all the time and extremely tired and lacking in energy. Have been to chemist for more anti-nausea tablets and stocking up on activia yoghurt for my tum and lucozade for a boost. Still touch and go as to whether I'll get into school on Monday.

Have done a couple of loads of washing and dragged DH to shop with me for weekly shop. Made pasta for tea (DH thought it would give me energy) Now I'm going to tidy the kitchen and put my feet up. Should do uni work but i've not stopped today and don't want to go backwards.

Lime green and pick pots sound quite cool and funky

dylsmum1998 · 02/10/2010 22:54

scatty think my dd would love your garden pots!

MC fingers crossed for you to be better in time. You have reminded me I must have my hair cut soon

I went to ikea with ds today, after having friends round to fix car Sad, got to ikea with ds to find the chest of drawers he choose out of stock. I managed to buy lots of other things I absolutely DO need Hmm Grin instead. This also means I get to have another trip up there when they have drawers in stock.

Have spent the evening doing uni readings whilst ds does homework. Think I am going to call it a night now and go and get some sleep.

useless morning Blush
dd still at sleepover - they seem to want to keep her Shock
ds1 & 2 playing football with their dad

now in quandary about whether to roast the chicken or join sleepover people for walk in distant park and how to fit in church (6pm probably)without dh getting cross with me

nits have gone from our house Shock I miss the monkey mother moments. Everyone's hair is very short now.

dull dreary day -need to find shoes and get out of house...

scattyspice · 03/10/2010 12:44

Thankfully have avoided nits so far, tis only a matter of time though I feel as DD hair v long and no matter what style so leaves the house with she always comes home with free flowing locks!

Fame at last prof what have you been saying?

Hope you start to feel better soon MC

I am looking forward to sleepovers swan (well mainly the part where they go to someone elses house).

I feel I'm due a trip to Ikea soon dyl.

I think I may be living in a 1950's marriage Hmm. Dh came in excitedly telling me he has bought me a present (this never happens), turns out he's bough me a 2nd hand dishwasher from a friend! If this wasn't bad enough, dd asked 'when is she coming?' I said 'who?' DD said 'the dishwasher.'
Angry

(Though quite Smile about the arrival of a dishwasher.)

swanriver · 03/10/2010 14:23

yay - have managed to get ds1 to church, and do some piano practice as well..
complete strike over dishwashing here Blush

dylsmum1998 · 03/10/2010 14:31

Swan hope you find a happy solution to your quandary.

Scatty Grin at the dishwasher

Am at the moment making ds's birthday cake with dd ready for tomorrow. Am doing him a suprise birthday tea, he has no idea that I will be home when he gets in from school as I am not supposed to be home til 7.15pm.

Prof What a great idea I'm going to steal it.
We've been to church Harvest Festival Very important too me (even though I'm not baptised!! (long story) Had a lovely brunch at church more for the people than the food.
DH really look forward to Christmas. I did remind him that there is alot of backstage work and he understand that (but do I really want him to know the truth) I shall just continue making it magic for him as well as DS I must admit it's the only hobby I don't feel guilt about using my time on. Reminds me I must do something about the garden!!!!
Hope you have all had a nice Sunday. read you lot next on Wednesday. My lovely Ds is 6 that day Grin

dylsmum1998 · 03/10/2010 20:54
