now super energised after rushing around on foot and playing dodgeball

diet continues...

very autumnal here indeed - Rainy night in Georgia come sto mind

I would move house ...but..I just couldn't handle the paperwork Blush or the snooping.
I bet you'd be good at moving TPT v. directed

Have just been reading Geronimo Stilton to ds2, more vampires.

SS on second inspection a bit nondescript. The sixth former who took me round said he hadn't borrowed a book from the school library since year 7 Shock which shook me a bit. COMPUTERS!!!{angry] and ds1 will be the same I've no doubt SadTeenagers are lovely though aren't they..feel v. humbled by all these spotty sixteen year olds showing me round schools.

swanriver · 29/09/2010 21:37

I don't mind a bit of politicking, as long as no-one blames me Blush But life has been rather boring on the politicks front recently - no sit-ins, or lockouts, or feuds.

Not read everything, but just saw the library commentsShock

DD1s new ss has a LRC/library, and she is loving the large range of books, and the fact that she can use it before/after school at her leisure as well as in breaks.

It is a rapidly improving school with a very bad reputation to shake, but so far, I am very pleased with her whole experience.

On another thought stream entirely, I need to share my new fridge with you all. It is big and shiny and was delivered this morningGrin
I now need a new kitchen to go with it....

swanriver · 30/09/2010 12:54

I don't want a fridge, I just want a LARDER.

slow morning here, practising the piano
chatting ranting complaining to dh

house scuzzy, another ss to visit this afternoon, and take dts to see various cousins at same time
first have to get through piano lesson after two weeks off. Just struggling onto grade 2 pieces. Slept very badly, as I dreamed my piano teacher had told me her husband had drowned...

Jas - good news that dd is enjoying her first term at ss. I remember loving my new life at secondary.

wendyhappysmile · 30/09/2010 13:36

Hi swan, you sound quite down the last few days, are you ok? You are doing so well to keep practising the piano! Ours has been untouched for weeks!
hi jas and dyls hope you get everything done on your list

Been to midwife, who confirmed the SPD or whatever it's called these days, just said keep active, don't overdo it, take paracetamol. Baby still breech (32 weeks) so something else to worry about. Wearing the support belt a friend gave me for the pelvis. Feel very restricted, not sure if it's working!

No rain today, washing is out but it doesn't look like it's drying.

Feeling strangely unmotivated, in a bit of a daze today.

Pampered Chef party tonight, better not be too late in bed though! Smile

BB tomorrow

fine - just that I'm a bit up in the air with dh's biopsy today. Wanting to be sympathetic but just feeling defeated. Felt annoyed with him for saying life had been so wonderful for the last five years and now it was all ruined - felt like giving him a kick and saying actually it could be MORE wonderful in the next five years come what may, don't give up, last few years have been v. stressful - we haven't got on THAT brilliantly, rose tinted glasses aren't going to help us now. Anyway we parted on good terms, so I suppose I have to be more patient with his natural pessimism. "Supportive" to me is being cheery, and I think he finds cheery rather irritating Blush
Actually not sure what I really think ..just babbling...

thanks for asking! Grin
poor you with SPD - I think that is problem with being heavily pregnant, all those last minute things just when feels least fit to do them.

Makingchanges · 30/09/2010 18:13

Evening all. Sorry I have been missing in action. Gastro turned into colitis and I'm under strick instructions to rest. Missed first day of schook placement yesterday too but uni have been fab. We also have no phoneline or internet. Ongoing service provider switch over been going on for three months. Iff uni today and tomorrow to rest to try and get better for Monday and school. If,pain not easing need to go in to hosp for further tests and iv morphine. Have cleaned kitchen today whilst bt guy here other than that been inbed as pills knock me out. wendy be careful re spd, I had this and didn't listen to physio and had to pay for more physio recenty 4 years later. Do all exercises and wear the belt. Hope everyone else is well

scattyspice · 30/09/2010 19:07

Oh no.

swan Thinking of you and dh. Have everything crossed. I'm sure your cheeriness and bravery is appreciated deep down, you being strong allows dh to express his understandable anxiety freely (much better than him feeling he has to act brave to protect you). Know you must be feeling terrified though so do be kind to yourself.

MC colitis sounds very painful. Hope it clears up soon.

wendy pelvic pain sounds grim too. Hope you can find away to keep ontop of it.

ruby How was the house?

dyl hope you got through your list.

Today
cheercats
made sandwiches
washed up
laundry
washed K and BR floor
ds homework
dd in the bath.

Better go get her out.

Dh is much better mood now dreaded biopsy over, and taking tomorrow off to recover. Results in three weeks time now, so we can but wait [scarey Grin

Managed to bluff way through piano lesson talking about schools to piano teacher(she had two 18 year olds!) and doing the minimum of playing

Then walked about 2 miles delivering, picking up children whilst seeing secondary in my cousin's area. Ss had lovely library Wink but pretty impossible to get into. Also they only did one hour of art a week and three hours of RE so possibly a relief if he doesn't get in Grin.
Too late home to do any homework, we all felt extremely shattered.

TPT still, you always put in a low offer Grin

swanriver · 30/09/2010 22:55

could always put in

swanriver · 30/09/2010 22:57

MC that sounds horrible, could it be a reaction to dairy - am I misremembering? Hope pain eases soon. Glad uni are understanding. And hope line gets fixed, v. frustrating.

SimplySparkling · 01/10/2010 09:32

Hello to all.

Thinking of you and your dh swan. I hope the wait doesn't feel too long and frustrating. "come wind come wrack" is a phrase I've never heard. I'll have to look it up. My ds is in a new ss, starting his A levels. Dd will be doing her GCSEs next summer. Is it possible to fast forward through these next two or three years, does anyone know? Wink Smile

I hope you soon feel better MC and wendy.

I haven't found the piece of paper I need in order to fill in the form. I'm going to get back to it. Hey ho!

Nuttybear · 01/10/2010 09:42

swanriver · 01/10/2010 11:05

Makingchanges · 01/10/2010 11:45

Swan - Sorry to hear about DH - think I've missed this as have been missing so much recently. Colitis is due to gastroenteritis bug I had. Its now into its 3rd week and I'm living on soup and other liquids so lacking in energy. But I start my 7 week school teaching placement on Monday so at the moment I've been ordered to rest to give me the best possible chance of completing.

Today have been and done shopping and dropped dd off at reception. Now back at able to take pain relief (not able to take before as make me drowsy)

I have uni work to do this weekend and have to drive to uni to take back library books, other than that daytime telly and sleep.

Need to get back to a routine next week as school means will be out before 7 every morning and probably back at 7 in the evening.
