You iron the sheets?

I fold them up very very neatly and put them under the mattress. The combined weight of me and dH conspire, over the course of 7 days, to make them look freshly ironed. When I put them on.

Good housewife points to me without anyone knowing I am a slattern of the first order.

Do you lot all have tons of bedding or do you wash, dry, iron and put back on!

I feel like i have a million tons of washing as it is without doing all 4 beds twice a week!!!! Kids normally once a week or more due to sick, wee etc. Ours about every 2 weeks

GetOrfMoiLand · 09/08/2010 14:42

I have god knows how many sets of sheets - about a dozen.

But i do generally use the same 3-4 sets, and put them in the wash as soon i strip the bed (take the sheets off in the morning, put them in the washing machine, when get in from work hang them on teh line, take them in the following morning and pray it doesn't piss down in the night).

I have about a dozen flat sheets, several million plain pillowcases & 10 duvet sets. The duvets have to be used in order, going on the bottom of the pile once ironed.

I feel all complete on the days i change the bedding.

DH actually has to entice me away from the bedding displays in the department stores with the promise of chocolate cake to mask the pain...
