Once a week as a miniumum, mostly twice a week for ours. Kids once a week. I appreciate clean sheets - they dont! Also ours get a lot more action than theirs

If I had loads of money, I'd have someone come and change them daily - I LOVE clean sheets!

So clearly she's right and you're minging!!

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 29/07/2010 21:45

Every Friday. All beds.

expatinscotland · 29/07/2010 22:13

One a week.

Mattresses are flipped and hoovered monthly.

lillybloom · 01/08/2010 20:50

same as expat

deaddei · 01/08/2010 20:51

Once a week.
Unless dh has got lucky.

SingleMumAndProud · 02/08/2010 15:10

I don't understand why beds would need changing twice a week? Are we talking just the bottom sheet or the whole douvet cover etc?

I shower or bath before bed, wear clean PJs and get into bed a just sleep for a few hours - how dirty can they get?!

I really don't get a chance to do it that often. WOuld rather spend time on the things that matter. I am only on here today as I am having a bad day and need a rest for 10 mins!

Once a week usually, although twice a week at the moment as my pregnant nose seems to be detecting smells where there are none.

There is a poster on MN who does her sheets every day, I'm sure she'll be along in a bit

usualsuspect · 02/08/2010 15:13

That will be most days then rubyrubyruby

Kathyjelly · 02/08/2010 15:17

Once a week, always. My DP used to leave his until they looked like the Turin shroud, yukk.

funtimewincies · 02/08/2010 15:21

Also once a week (twice a week for ds2's cot or more if dribbled/sicked on).

Pyjamas are changed mid-week, so 2 sets a week.

Blimey, I have enough washing to deal with without washing bedding twice a week!

Stillcounting · 02/08/2010 15:55

Every Saturday. And it's a three-line whip collective family chore - so much quicker than when struggling with a king-size duvet cover alone. We all get to sleep in the beds - so perfectly reasonable for everyone to have a hand in changing them.

And like Uphill, always one or two nights before we go away on holiday - nothing worse than coming back to wrinkly old sheets.

Pyjamas are worn for two night then changed.

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/08/2010 16:01

Lol ali

I am the every day person. Well, every day in summer, every other day/twice a week in winter.

I take the sheets off in the morning, and then put clean ones on just before I go to bed.

Doesn't take that much longer than making the bed would.

I like clean sheets.

funtimewincies · 02/08/2010 16:05

GetOrfMoiLand!

Just when you think that you've got the measure of someone...

HappyMummyOfOne · 02/08/2010 16:07

The stripping and washing is the easy part, the ironing of the duvet cover is the hardest part - I cant bear scrunched duvet covers (we dont tumble dry).

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/08/2010 16:08

lol at 'just when you think you have got the measure of someone'.

I am not mad, honest. DP and DD think I need my head read for chaging the sheets like I do.

DD refuses to join in the madness, she changes hers every week. Left to her own devices she would leave them unttil they could crawl to the machine on their own, like the socks in the Young Ones.

littledawley · 02/08/2010 16:09

Once a week here too and they must be ironed.... (I will admit to a cleaner though ) - it's the last luxury I will hang on to!!

littledawley · 02/08/2010 16:11

GetOrf - do you iron them????

KnitterNotTwitter · 02/08/2010 16:14

oh dear - I'm bottom of the heap on this one.... they get changed once a month when DH is off for his RAF weekend so I get two days of lovely sheets all just for me before DH gets to fart on them....

Don't believe in ironing sheets either

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/08/2010 16:37

God no, I don't iron the damn things. I am not that mad.

GetOrf, will you stop it with your 'clean sheets every day'? I'd just managed to forget it from the last time you admitted it, and got back to my comfortable mindset of 'That GetOrf's alright, so she is.'

Now I am reminded of your insanity and that I am clearly a Bad Judge of Character.

Lynli · 02/08/2010 16:58

Twice A week in summer, pillow cases every other day. Once in winter. In summer just sheets and pillow cases, don't use a duvet.
DH, makes them all sweaty. He is always hot.

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/08/2010 17:00

poledra.

I know, sorry, I am a twat re clean sheets threads. I am the same on P&T parking in the supermarket threads (I take great joy in going on those and saying 'I park in those. With a teenager. In a sports car').

I am a wanker, really.

I just really like clean sheets, plus never take make up off so pillowcases get masraca covered, and also sleep in nude so think it's just like having clean clothes every day, really.

Poledra · 02/08/2010 17:03

You don't take your make-up off

Now you really are sinking in my estimation!
