hello all

Off to play now. BBL

dylsmum1998 · 19/07/2010 22:00

Evening all

I lost 4lb at my weigh in today - Yippee so the hard work of gym is worth it.

OFM hope you sort out your holiday soon. I'd be stressed with it too - well done on other activities, you did brilliantly sorting those out - Shoulder is feeling better than has in weeks but still sore

Dyls good purchase. Bet school were glad of help at sports day and good list.

Me Done

  • Washing x2
  • Sorted out PGCE topic folders for nest year
  • Sorted out paperwork mountain
  • Had a cry at DD losing her best friend today as she goes up to reception and best friend doesn't until Jan. They gave each other the biggest hug and that just made me well up
  • Been to weigh in
  • Chick pasta casserole for tea

Loads more sorting and tidying to do tonight - I really just want to sit on settee and watch TV though

dylsmum1998 · 20/07/2010 19:36

Hi all
dyls We are all veggie - lentil spread is just like lentil pate I suppose, used in sandwiches to stop me eating so much cheese It's nicer than it sounds!!

Well, yesterday I was so so tired, and went to see a Ratpack show in the evening with my Dad, he enjoyed it and so did i, but today I could weep with tiredness. Just done the ironing, dishwasher and am making the tea but then I think I may have a nap - for the sake of the baby LOL. I think some days being pregnant you are just tireder than others!

Anyone here got Birkenstock sandals? I have a question!

grouchyoscar · 21/07/2010 09:52

Hello There!

I was going to start popping in on a daily basis but sadly, I got distracted again (Nothing to do with Snow Patrol / Gary Lightbody this time)

Well the 6 weeks holiday has arrived again and I should be able to FLY by more often.

So, updates from the Grouchy cave, the house is holding up well, I've had a handrail installed up the staircase (needs staining and waxing) Ed did well at school last year and is heading to a year 3/4 class in September. DH is doing OK at work and Boris has effed off for a bit.

So how are you lovely lot? What have I missed? I have missed you all

OverflowingMum · 21/07/2010 10:22

morning all

feeling a bit down. had huge argument with DH last night...mostly about his family and going to Ireland etc...sigh
Things are really not great with us just now.Hectic lives, 6 kids, being broke, and never having any time or energy for each other is taking it's toll on our marriage I fear Need to really make more effort, try and put things back on track...sigh...

anyway, fairly productive day yesterday, so house not too bad today
need to finish washing ,clothes sorting and packing today, also need to mop floors.

Have sent in stinking letter to school about stupid term dates next year, bet head is getting quite fed up of my stinking letters, but then I am getting fed up of flipin useless school..sigh..

Also have dd2 at home- with cold, although she isnt actually that ill, more just exhausted I think, cub camp followed by school trip have taken their toll on her bless her!

right, off for more washing sorting...BBL

grouchyoscar · 21/07/2010 11:36

Big hug to OFM. I only have 1 kid so you just amaze me totally. DHs can be a real pain in the butt so I sympatise totally

I've got 7 kids in the house all trying to play LEGO Harry Potter on the PS3 and 2 are fussing round the moggies, made a huge batch of toast for all. suprisingly calm atm, wait for the chaos to hit

I have a stairrail to stain and wax I will get it done today, honest

Tomorrow we are visiting Dad's partner to sign some paperwork, may visit my bro and his lizards if he's up for it

TTFN x

swanriver · 21/07/2010 14:27

Grouchy, you are doing brilliantly. Hope you are feeling alright. It must have been a very difficult few weeks and still difficult now.

I'm in Eire.
It's lovely here OFM absolutely pouring with rain, but still! Almost like rainforest I'm expecting to see some snakes soon (except St P chased them all away)
children are refusing to budge from cousins, but I'm desperate to get back to my territory, which is down by lakeside. Today we picked a million vegetables, in rain, wild raspberries, played minifootball inside, dd went to pony camp with her cousins, ds went for two days but has now given up, ds2 went for one day and gave up! Dd still going strong.
Also practising my driving, not helped by ds2 going WHEEE as we drive up and down hills. Saw 12th Century Abbey yest.

OFM preparing for hols is v. stressful. And other people's family. Still I'm sure they love seein gyou as well as him, best of luck with crossing and everything and the mass.
now have to dash as mother coming down corridor to reclaim her computer...

grouchyoscar · 21/07/2010 16:08

The rail is stained and waxed, does n't look
What is bad is Ed dropping the bad is Ed droppinng the PS3 remote in the bath WTF

OverflowingMum · 21/07/2010 20:13

evening all
go wow, you really have achieved lots. glad rail looks good, hope controlls are OK!

swan Lovely to hear from you. Glad you're enjoying Ireland. Must admit I find being there V stressful, staying in someone elses house, sleeping arrangements notideal etc...but more than that have long ongiong issues with his family, which make staying with them even more stresful...sigh..
I like Ireland itself(other than the constant rain!), just not staying at IL's LOL

not achieved much today...

now have ds2, dd2and dd4 ill...

things incredibly tense with me and dh...sent him an email at work to try and sort things out, but seems to have made things worse

will hopefully have better day tomorrow

wendyhappysmile · 21/07/2010 20:25

OFM hope you're ok hon, you sound very down. i seem to remember the same thing happening on the last visit to Ireland. Hoping you can keep the faith! Sorry you have ill children too.

swan good to hear from you from Eire, hoping you are having good time, it sounds idyllic, vegetable picking!!!

go We have all been thinking of you lots, sounds like you are doing ok, keep busy, I know it's a cliche but it works I think.

DS won a race at Sports' Day so was very chuffed with himself. it was long, drawn out and boring tbh watching lots of other children run very long complicated races! Everyone was a bit fed up!

DD has been challening today, wonder if she is coming down with something too.

Still just under a week to go here.

I am very tired, not sure if I can go to bed yet though!

BB tomorrow

GO wow you have done lods today

swan of your hols so far, sounds fab. dd does the wheee down hills too

OFM that things aren't very good for you right now.

Wendy- can you post recipe for lentil paste please, I love lentils and always looking for new things to do with them, usually get as adventurous as putting them in soup!

have spent my final day in the infants school, have been told by teachers/ assistants to stay in touch, have swapped numbers with the 2 I have worked with the most this year. The head teacher also asked me to stay in touch, and told me to go to her if I need any help, as she used to be PGCE assessor! Also someone hada quiet word with me and gave me a very quite and secret heads up that may be a vacancy at the school around the time I complete my PGCE . Will be sad not to go in again it is a lovely school and the staff are all very friendly

OP posts:
swanriver · 21/07/2010 21:16

OFM Personally I can't stay in my mother's house for more than two days without falling out with someone, so I completely sympathise that staying in your MIL house might be overwhelming, however your dh finds it.
Today my mother went down to rented cottage where I/m staying and ticked me off for not leaving the clothes tidy in the drawers ! I'm beginning to realise that some people actually pick fights as a form of attention seeking/stress release usually over small things. Whilst being lovely in other ways.
Anyway it's certainly not a bed of roses here. But I can't seem to resist returning, I suppose I just need to be with them all. Maybe your dh has very mixed feelings too. And missing his Dad too.

We've had a good day, and my mum's gone out this evening which makes things a bit more peaceful DSis is putting on a DVD now.

Ruby no lie-in alas here due to absent husband and ponyclub.
Dyls that sounds very exciting about school connection
Grouchy mayhem and mischief
MC dd hug
