Wood one. Hate grey furniture and textured dining chairs

Ohthisheat · 29/06/2026 09:03

The wood. More hard wearing too.

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 29/06/2026 09:03

Wood is the correct answer

Owly11 · 29/06/2026 09:03

Neither of them fit in the space. But if there was enough space for it, the wooden one. Context?

Itwillbefinehonestly · 29/06/2026 09:06

The marble but it really depends on the style of room. The wooden one is more farmhouse kitchen. The wooden chairs don't look very comfortable.
What are your needs? Extending tables are useful to maximise space.

Melom · 29/06/2026 09:09

The wood one! The metal one looks like it's from a curry house. I love a curryhouse but I don't want to live in one. Not cosy!

SylvanMoon · 29/06/2026 09:11

the wood one of course

MostLikelyToLeave · 29/06/2026 09:14

I don’t like either.

MegMortimer · 29/06/2026 09:22

Wood.

GloriousGoosebumps · 29/06/2026 09:23

The answer would depend on the style of kitchen / dining room. I like the wooden table but would have to change the rustic chairs which are too basic to be stylish. But I wouldn’t actually chose either table.

DappledThings · 29/06/2026 09:25

The wooden one. The grey chairs are hideous.

2chocolateoranges · 29/06/2026 09:25

I’d go for a wooden table but with different chairs those ones are more of a kitchen chair than a dining chair. For me dining room chairs should be more comfier.

Uniqueheartbee · 29/06/2026 09:25

Wooden set

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 29/06/2026 09:26

The wooden one, definitely.

deeahgwitch · 29/06/2026 09:26

The marble set.

3peassuit · 29/06/2026 09:28

The wooden one by a mile.

WhatHappenedToYourFurnitureCuz · 29/06/2026 09:29

If those were the only options, wood. But I don't like either.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 29/06/2026 09:38

They are completely different styles! They cannot both suit your house. The old fashioned kitchen table might suit a cottage but would look ridiculous in a modern house. Vice versa for the modern chrome leg one. I’d give neither house room! I’m more into Neptune, Ercol originals or OKA. Carl Hanson wishbone chairs fit in anywhere.

ExquisiteDressing · 29/06/2026 09:43

Wood, I really don't like any other material for tables, don't like the upholstered chairs either, or grey for that matter.

DragonsFurry · 29/06/2026 09:52

Number 2

1 is hideous!

Tortephant · 29/06/2026 09:54

One is a kitchen table, one a dining table.

I'd never have upholstered chairs from a cleaning perspective.
The wood chairs can be dressed with lovely seat pads.

Where is it going and what is your style of decor?

Personally I think the modern one looks cheap and tacky.
The wooden one will suite a cottage or farmhouse and is timeless.

You have given us so little information OP.

LaPerruque · 29/06/2026 09:55

The wooden one. I have a rooted dislike of those upholstered grey chairs with the marble table. I've never understood their popularity. They look like something from a funeral home, yet bewildering numbers of people own them.

ClaredeBear · 29/06/2026 09:56

The wood one but that’s because the style of the other one isn’t nice.

LibertyLily · 29/06/2026 09:58

If I had to choose between those two, the wood - although like other posters I'd have different chairs. We had a farmhouse table with similar chairs twenty years ago and they weren't comfortable and are very clunky imo. We soon swapped them out for vintage church chairs.

The marble/silver/grey set is just horrible/cheap looking.

Left is too flashy, and the right is too old. Sorry don't like either.
