Keycamp/Eurocamp - are they all the same?

I mean are they all busy, crowded, close together and noisy?

To give you an idea, we went here last summer (2005) and didn't enjoy it.

I am wondering about N France next summer as it would (hopefully) be cooler. Would like to visit France but can't stand above about 28 degrees (me or DH). I'm wondering if we'd find a nice, quiet campsite but still a few things for kids to do. Not fussed about club, etc.

Or should we just stay at home?

Garda was 30-35 degrees. We couldn't cope

you need to make sure there is shade for the pitches, look for that and grass pitches which is cooler

TheHighwayCod · 16/11/2006 21:28

we went to Camping mane Guernehue on the Gulf of Morbihan in brittany a couple of eyars ago with French Life - fantastic, nice and quiet with the best pool complex ever and a gorgeous restaurant. Has fishing lakes and fields of dankeys and goats. Plenty for kids to do without being a disturbance to others. 3 fishing lakes. have to drive to a beach tho but loads of excellent ones around. Went to Camping Acapulco last year in St Jean de MOnts but that was a bit busier - still great hol though. Going to camping les deux Fonataines in raguenes next year - first one in height of season (Aug) so will see what that's like!
