Passport Processing Time

Anyone have any idea on processing time of First Passports at the moment? We sent our daughters application via check and send almost 2 weeks ago and no idea on when to expect it back. Hopefully someone can shed some light?!

Just got my passport! Been watching this thread and starting to panic, even though I still had a few weeks.
Posted it on the 12th of May
Money taken on the 15th
Got a letter on the 7th of June asking me to phone them
Phoned on the 10th, had cocked up the form slightly, resolved over the phone
Arrived by courier an hour ago.
I didn't get a text to say they'd received it, got a text to say it was being printed and would be with me in a few days, about 10 mins after the courier had handed it over!
Hope everyone gets theirs in time.

funambulist and others that didn't get a text saying application recieved...I was in the same situation. Check and send on the 2nd June and no text, so yesterday I called the 0300 number and they confirmed receipt on the 4th June. So it seems like they don't always send out texts to confirm, maybe more so when you do check and send. We fly out on the 27th July, but staying in London from the 24th, so need passport by the 23rd July ideally. Fingers crossed!

I didn't get an acknowledgment text either.

I did get my old passports back this morning with the 'ears' cut off, does that mean I can start to breathe a bit??

Heyland, when did you send your application? Sounds like you can begin to relax - hope it comes very soon.

When did they say u can go through to Liverpool or where ever they are hope u get it

does anyone no what time the liverpool office shuts the phone lines

I asked, and they said I could pick it up if I need/want to.

Think they shut at 5.

ellesue I can't remember the exact dates, but I applied on the 4th may and it was received a few days later, then I got the text on a thursday (29th may I think).

The passports arrived last Monday. I didn't send them check and send or anything.

Ps they were 1 x adult renewal, 1 x adult change of name and 1 x child first. They didn't contact the counter signatory.

Good luck everyone. I thought 6 weeks before we travel would be fine, considering they say 3 weeks!

I'm supposed to be flying on Sunday 15th (3 days time)... Been on the phone to them every day for the last 8/9 days.. Still haven't had a callback!!

Priority team are apparently looking at it and should phone me today! Been promised a phone all for the last week though!!

They're working every day on them at the moment, including weekends!

They're apparently working on a date by date basis... So anyone flying Saturday & Sunday should be printed and sent today!

They're open Saturday if I need to pick up tho!

Really at the end of my tether now! My wife's change of name has been printed and sent yesterday... But still waiting on my daughters first!

Worst week of my life, the thought of losing out on this holiday!

Does anyone know when a passport will come back after you've received a text saying it's being printed and will be with you in a few working days? I received that text yesterday. So maybe I will get it tomorrow or Saturday?

Jhutchings18 have you tried phoning the direct number to your office and asking for a delivery tracker for your courier?

No, haven't tried that! They were aware of our travel date, so would hope that they'd send it in time to be delivered before we go!

Haven't even had a call about my daughters yet!

Think it's going to be a nice 4hr drive to liverpool!

hairbrush i got mine the next day after the txt and my friend received hers yesterday after a txt the day before

Try giving Liverpool a call on the direct number - not the 0300!

Jhutchings18 word of caution, apparently they might not see you unless you have an appointment! Good luck anyway! I would just phone the direct number & contact your MP as that got things really moving for me!

ok so today I called up and advised them i need my passport by 26th and to ask for it to be put through to upgrade team. Just had a call from a real nice guy at Durham called Ian on team 10 who said he is issuing my passport today and to give it up to next Wednesday for printing and delivery!

After emailing my MP, my MP getting involved, emailing Paul Pugh (Head of Passport Office) and ringing every day for the last 2 weeks I finally have my passport on its way to me!

Still waiting on my partners first adult tho so fingers crossed for that one.

Yet there are people getting their passports completed who aren't going for another couple of weeks!

They're clearly not prioritising at the offices!

Already e-mailed my MP.. No reply... Just e-mailed Paul Pugh!

Don't know what more I can do, other than drive up there!
I've been ringing every day for the last 8 or 9 days and still no call back!
