Bristol offer holders day email finally arrived :)

I wonder if DD has heard anything as she’s waiting for Bristol offer holders day too

Late to the party here but huge congrats to your DD @catmomof3 on her skipping interview and going straight to offer! They must have been really impressed with her application. You must be very proud!

DD’s just booked the offer holders day too. She went to an open day there but I didn’t, so I’m looking forward to visiting the university and town at the open day.

What subject has your DD applied for at Birmingham? Feel free to PM if you’d rather.

I don't mind sharing at all DD has applied for Geology at Bham, Leeds and Cardiff, Geology and Paleontology at Leicester and Earth with Planetary Science at Manchester (which by all accounts is Geology by another name). She'd originally been looking at Environmental Science but changed to Geology last autumn which is how we missed the opportunity for open days in some places. Leeds was first choice but trying to keep an open mind for those we haven't seen, the only offer day now is Manchester but as we're only 1/2 hour away and my office is there we know it well anyway 😊.

Dd submitted on Monday, has had an offer from university of law but is waiting for Cardiff, Bristol, keele and Plymouth

She's expecting a contextual offer from Cardiff as she did their 2 year pathways course over years 12 & 13

DS received an offer from Bath yesterday for economics. He is thrilled as he didn't expect to hear for some time yet. A really achievable one too. A*AA, AAAB or AABB.

Dd had an email yesterday from LJMU asking her to upload copies of her A level certificates and her dance/theatre qualifications. (She has Intermediate & Advanced 1 dance exams plus a level 6 musical theatre diploma).

She does have enough UCAS points from her 2 A levels for their degree with foundation year but not for the 3 year degree (plus no science A levels) .

DD had hers yesterday too and has booked onto it. She seems really happy excited about Bristol now which is good 😊

My dd is waiting on Bristol - do you mind me asking what subject?

DD's final offer in from Warwick now. She's decided that it's probably not going to be her firm or insurance (heart set on UEA), but it's given her confidence a real boost.

I think DD is swerving towards Nottingham. Has anyone any experience?

No experience but it's one my DD is considering firming and we're booked into the offer holders day. Is your DD going to do one?

Nothing to say about Nottingham but we are still waiting for Bath too.
