Well we have booked 3 so far... Surrey, Bath and Essex for Politics /politics and IR.
Ds predicted grades gone up since ucas form so may try and get University place this year but have option of applying with grades if he wants to after results to a different set of universities. (year out).
Bath cancelled next week due to strikes so Surrey University our first one.
Guess a fair few offer days coming up.
How's it all going?

DS and DH going to Birmingham today for the offer day. It is ds's favourite so interesting to see if he still likes it.

How did those on offer days do?
Bath for politics very, very crowded ds said. (February one cancelled due to strikes). Made accommodation visits ridiculous he said. 30 squashed in a kitchen he said. Did same politics taster lecture as open day which was disappointing.
However, students 'super nice', campus pretty and bigger than thought on open day. Lots to think about he says...

Birmingham is still ds's favourite for Computer Science after the open day yesterday. He said really good facilities well organised, happy with course. He still liked the campus and student Village. They said there was no flexibility on grades, which are high so he is going to have to work his socks off which isn't really happening yet!

He is still awaiting an offer from Bath which is also a good course with a big emphasis on placement year but he didn't like the Bath campus. If he gets an offer we will revisit to see if he has a gets a better feel for it.

If you are going with DC to offer holders days, it's worth getting a 2-together railcard. It's a 1/3 off the fare for both of you

Ooh thanks for the tip @mushroom3

Hi I know this is late but we are in the same predicament Surrey or Bath! Where did your DS choose in the end?
my DS predicted AAA needs AAB for Bath and BBB for Surrey
Surrey were first to offer and Bath are the only one he’s waiting for. Offers from Warwick Southampton and Sussex but only put those down to fill up the 5
Surrey were the 1st uni to do placements and we know both unis have great contacts and employment figures.
Halls and house shares are a lot cheaper in Surrey which is also a big plus
would love to know where your DS chose in the end.
