My dd stayed home. Peace and quiet and cups of tea & comfort.

She's at a local state school who have zero experience of oxbridge - so they just went with her wishes & excused her today for good cause.

She quite enjoyed it. Liked the theme.

DD’s school is also state, albeit a grammar. Some good experience of Oxbridge, they have mock interviews etc but often it seems DD has done more research than teachers and goalposts keep changing as to what needs to be done when.

Hoping @beachcitygirl in September next year we are in touch to arrange a meet up after dropping off our DDs in C.

So how does this work? DC applied to kings and Cambridge (plus 3 others) to study law. Interview with Cambridge yet Kings no offer because her LNAT score wasn’t high enough?

It would seem that a thread like this would be peaceful, but I guess when humans are in the mix with democracy it's a mix
