Following on from the previous thread as our young adults start their second year at universities up and down the land (and some overseas too!).

You are models. I meant to have a liver holiday before Christmas, and did cut down. I am aiming for a clean week starting today and will see how I get on.

@simbobs, last year I managed really well only drinking on four occasions (including Christmas Day and 1st January) from November until the end of March. During lockdown was a different story though Blush. Good luck.

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 yes, time for a new thread. How long have you been arranging these for us?

I've been with you guys since Sep 19 but don't know the history of this thread. I guess some of you go way back....

simbobs · 01/11/2020 12:53

If you do start a new thread please link on this one.

I'm a bit of a gatecrasher as DD had a gap year, but she is at the same stage as most of the DC on here.

I believe this is untrue in that the "must" is not set out in any law and therefore not a must and instead is you can certainly go back and forth again and again and we cannot stop you. However let us see what the law that may be passed by Thursday says about it. it is possible there is some other regulation I have not seen. I don't think there is any restriction on students in England in the latest regs for tier 2 (London etc) for example www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1104/contents/made.

"There are further restrictions in place:

" If you live at university, you must not move back and forward between your permanent home and student home during term time. You should only return home at the end of term for Christmas. We will publish further guidance on the end of term."

Says page not found when I click that link sorry.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/11/2020 20:15

Sorry @DrMadelineMaxwell think it's because there was a typo in the title line (which appears in the URL) and I got MN HQ to fix it (but it's ruined the link).

DS just phoned in a strop having left the enormous queue at Morrison's. Says he might have to just starve to death.

He does love a bit of melodrama...
