Loughborough wasn’t a poly.

Jorah · 25/06/2018 22:13

Don't think Loughborough was ever a poly! I think she actively wants a more coursework vocational course so ex polys better than unis in that respect

I think Loughborough was always a uni?

MinaPaws · 25/06/2018 22:16

Kingston is world class for fashion design and strong on the creative arts generally. Don't know about other subjects.

LARLARLAND · 25/06/2018 22:17

I chatted to a sports science lecturer at UCLAN recently who was really nice and very impressive. He seemed to really care about his students. No idea about the quality of the course there though.

HerBigChance · 25/06/2018 22:17

Ah, I think I'd forgotten that about Loughborough somewhere along the way.

Peaseblossom22 · 26/06/2018 08:17

Portsmouth
Plymouth
Oxford Brooke's
Brighton

Really depends on subject, Lincoln was HE I think as was Northampton . Have heard very good reports from Canterbury Christchurch and York St John and Roehampton

dangerrabbit · 26/06/2018 08:19

University of east London

Aragog · 26/06/2018 08:22

Just like with the other universities, it all depends on the course as different universities, regardless of whether they were ex polys or not, are better at different subjects.

YouStacey · 26/06/2018 08:23

I would not want my DD or DS going to Oxford Brookes after reading this:-

This is the MN post about it:-

It really depends on the course.

I did my course at two universities (personal reasons for moving that had nothing to do with the uni) and loved both. Manchester Met. and the University of Gloucestershire. The course was near identical.

I looked around Oxford Brookes and hated it but that’s just me.
