Hi, I'm Mouseface.

Welcome one and all to our 100,000,001th thread on healthier eating, losing weight, cake and of course cock chat!

So, I'm 8lbs lighter (still) and just maintaining....

How about you?

DeFluffy · 07/07/2010 18:12

crispy - we've got a few who log into our message service with their pcs then leave them on all night so look like they're still working my brother is still at yours and he regularly works till 10pm, although he isnt technical.

im not technical staff either so my job is different, the deadlines are crazy because of printing. when i was technical we used to have to do long hours only really in 'busy season' which was about 4 months a year, all over christmas and new year though

DeFluffy · 07/07/2010 18:13

God sorry everyone, anyone who has the patience to wade through my incredibly dull posts on work gets a cake, or a piece of cheese

VinnyTheTit · 07/07/2010 18:22

hello, just had left over chilli

i never work late, my job doesnt require it but if it did they can just fuck and die

VinnyTheTit · 07/07/2010 18:23

i read every detail defluff, twice!

can i have 2 pieces of cake?

VinnyTheTit · 07/07/2010 18:24

but cripsy you have to lie tell your DH that i am committed and will work all hours

DeFluffy · 07/07/2010 18:25

vinny sorry, i got carried away with someone asking me for my professional opinion after 6 months out of the office i got a bit carried away.

oh, and no, you can't.

by the way, feta is low fat isnt it??

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/07/2010 18:31

Vinny - my DH won't let his team work long hours. Says planning must be crap if long hours are needed not that he lives by this. You'd fit right in

Mittz · 07/07/2010 18:37

My boss is a wankette, makes me get up at 5 am sometimes if we are overloaded .

She does let me take MN breaks though, so not all bad.. must go though, I am getting the evil eye as we have bucket loads on..

Mittz · 07/07/2010 18:37
VinnyTheTit · 07/07/2010 18:41

feta has no calories (im good at lying arent i )

Mittz your boss sounds like s slave driver

jetcat · 07/07/2010 18:51

Alice, that great he has managed to get into the right position - must be a relief

Fluff - not bored at all remind me, what actually is your job? Sorry, just thought, you may not want to actually put that on here

Just so as i dont feel left out, when i was working full time, there was many times i had to get a colleague to pick Junior up from the childminder (early years at school) and bring her back to the office as i was stuck out with a family somewhere. Luckily, we were only a small team - i had one or two trusted colleagues, and a pool table back at the office, but it was no way to live. Ex wouldnt help at all, though to be fair - i had just cancelled our wedding with three weeks to go - and moved to a new town to get away from him

Just a quickie - i have had an application form through today for new pa - would a 21 yr old be too young do you think? I am worried it will feel like i am out with my daughter

Jet - depends if she is a mature 21 or not. Girls tend to be so more than boys at that age.....

'girls' and 'boys' oh lord. I'm getting OLD!!!

Can you interview her, give her a days trial?

Make sure she's capable of thinking about the job at hand and not her facebook account all day?

(says she who has the internet open all day, every day)

NormaSknockers · 07/07/2010 19:12

Evening all

Just sticking my head in quickly, absolutely shattered after my day out, also had a very brief & strained "talk" with my mum earlier about my sister & seeing the show etc will wait & see what comes of that, if anything!

Hope everyone's ok? Sorry for being useless & not catching up will in the morning though all round!

Norma - well done you, huge huge step forward Good on you

Thanks mouse, the agency are sending me what they consider suitable applications, i then have to choose which ones to interview. I have a feeling i may be asking for some advice here...... This one does look ok though, psychology/sociology at uni, and carer for her grandad. God i hate decisions

Ooh, forgot to say earlier - Junior has impressed the friendly newsagent guy - she has been promoted to a permanent round 6 days a week Still just 3 streets, but we are both over the moon!

Jet - 4 years in recruitment (I WAS NICE I PROMISE) and hired and fired in the past too.

Happy to advise.

OP posts:
jetcat · 07/07/2010 19:37

Thank you, i am a bit nervous of another youngster i think, after the nightmare of the last one. But, surely they cant all be as bad I may get back to you.....

fluff - saf's post sounds worrying, what have i missed now

DeFluffy · 07/07/2010 19:37

you've been thinking about my bits again SAF, you saucy minx. If you pop down here you can have a feel and a bit of a rummage

I will go to drs but at the moment feels like Id be there all day, I've got constant acid reflux which I never normally have unless pregnant, a really bad stomach every time I eat, feel sick if I don't eat every 3 hours at least, funny bits etc etc. The dr willbe begging me to shut the fuck up and talk about my work instead

Mouse - I hate firing.

Right off to upload photos, yawn.

Bet that LIzzys watching the footie, got it on here too.

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/07/2010 19:38

CBeebies crisis averted. Called neighbour over to help (he is a MAHOOOOOSIVE footy fan and semi-final was about to start ). he held the ladder and i went up to the roof, waved my loppers at the Wisteria, swore a lot bit and seem to have cleared it / Arms ache to buggery now though - i fear i have been shirking Gillian

Gives Norma a big hug

Jet - no harm in meeting her, no? If you don't click then you can move on to the next candidate. I would suggest coming up with a few RL scenarios you have faced and ask her how she would have dealt with them so she can demonstrate her maturity and suitability

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/07/2010 19:41

Jet it won't hurt seeing her.

Alice glad they got to you have fun at the races tomorrow.

Have been for my weigh in and despite Crispy's best effort I have managed to lsoe pound and a half.

Ironing has been done, took DC's down to see my mother this afternoon and then went and picked up a quarter of a cow for the freezer. I actually had half a cow in the car but one quarter was for my brother.

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/07/2010 19:43

Oi missus, I only fed you burgers, sausages and wine . Well done on 1.5lb - brilliant. Must be all the running round after guests

LOL at cow in the car
