You got an exercise sheet? I got a box of a paracetomol & chat about family planning

wastingaway · 01/07/2010 21:11

Oh I know what you mean Alice. And I don't think they let you have gas and air if you don't try.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/07/2010 21:11

Right I have survived the Wiggles, and Crispy is coming down tomorrow to camp in our field.

DeFluffy · 01/07/2010 21:11

trills - no not unusual probably. I was always too busy with work and exh to be on pc I think, although did use to play a lot of ps games so probably could have spent the time on here I think I read a lot more then too, never really seem to have time these days.

mn wasn't so well known back then and was really small so I wouldnt have been aware of it i don't think. My friend introduced me to mn when i was pregnant with dd1.

whats your phd in? Can you put dr before your name? And was it worth doing? Thinking of going OU route but not sure if can be bothered....

wastingaway · 01/07/2010 21:12

Norma

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 21:13

Sounds like a fun weekend Fanny, very of everyone getting to meet from the thread!

LizzyLOU · 01/07/2010 21:14

Alice, firstly, sorry for not realising how hard it must be for you in this heat.
Secondly, even though I almost had a C/s with DS1 and was traumatisd (I thought I'd be like the TV mothers and just puff and pant for 2mins and then a 3mth old clean baby would be given to me), I can honestly say that I didn't really "feel" labour iyswim.
You sort of get into this zone and you feel like it is all natural.

Just one thing, don't feel bad about asking for pain relief, it is a wonderful thing. I would almost get up the duff again just for the gas and air

NO medals for how baby gets out, remember, it's what you do once they are born.

DeFluffy · 01/07/2010 21:14

bella - thank you poppet

TotalChaos · 01/07/2010 21:19

sounds lovely Fanny, enjoy your meet with Crispy! So do you need wine after the Wiggles

Fluffy - well done re:competitions. let me know when I can peek at the mags in WHS

Oi DF, I forgot - I've been acting as your PR

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 21:22

at Fanny and Crispy's weekend.

Lizzy - i had labour, a whole 24hrs of painful labour (G&A, pethidene and an epidural) but only got to 5cms and DD got distressed. Recovered so quickly from cs that i always thought i would have another one, but it doesn't feel right. Still scared witless though!

Really must have a shower (in my new rainfall shower ) and go to bed, BF counseller session tomorrow then ikea!!!!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/07/2010 21:23

Am supping wine as I speak.

I feel such a fraud, both mine were C sections, DD's an 'emergency' although I wasn't in labour and DS was planned.

Alice I have some great footsoak stiff which I found invaluable when I was pregnant with DD. would you like it?

DeFluffy · 01/07/2010 21:26

thank you Bitter! If dd2 would GO TO SLEEP!! I might actually be able to list some bits on my shop!!

Shes being such a pain, eating, not eting, eting, not eating, arghhhhhhhhhhhh

saf - you're a nutter

double - are you on the alcohol again or just being all poetically Oirish?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 01/07/2010 21:27

Have some meatballs for me, Alice.

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 21:27

Ooh yes please Fanny

I nearly got myself a footspa with some christmas vouchers but didn't and now thinking it would be a great thing to have.

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 21:28

Defluff - where can i see your brooches?

LizzyLOU · 01/07/2010 21:29

Alice that sounds like me with DS1, though he dropped on the walk to theatre and ended up ventouse.
Then DS2 was ummm, huge, but I knew he was huge from 24weeks, it was obvious, you could see it and I could feel how much bigger he was. By your time (34wks) I was begging for c/s and they wouldn't give it to me, but he was massive, and I could feel it.
You will be fab, just get on that Gas and air, the best invention ever.

SAF, I am jealous of my MOm's births and she is jealous of my pregnancies, she was on a drip for most of my my brother's pregnancy, she vomited constantly.

As I say, how they get into this world doesn't really matter, it's the aftermath that counts.

DeFluffy · 01/07/2010 21:30

i'll send you a fb link when ive uploaded to the shop alice, its just a nightmare trying to do it around the mole. Photos all cropped, lit properly etc today, next step to actually put on line.

Hang on i'll put some on my profile, its easier.

I've got a footspa if you want me to send to you Alice?

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 21:31

Yep, am DrTrills.

Anyone who had a baby inside and now has a baby/child/teenager/adult outside has in my book given birth.

bellavita · 01/07/2010 21:31

I just txt and ring you Shiney! Ummm I think I have only ever had one phonecall from you > Stop moaning anyway

DS pregnancy/birth has left me too terrified to ever have another baby, even thr thought of getting pregnant terrifies me beyond belief!

bellavita · 01/07/2010 21:37

Yes you can be a lot bit rubbish on the calling front, but I will forgive you
