LOL'ing at the euphemism invasion

Just wanted to say we had a FABULOUS weekend with TheFamousFive, with Fanny being the absolute hostess with the mostess. Although i fear DH didn't endear himself too much with his comment that he was sleeping with more sheep poo than he was used to

We had a BBQ on Fri, lovely fry up & beach on Sat (where in my care FannyGirl managed to fall and scrape her leg (oops ) followed by offroad driving, fishy BBQ (divine) with Spitfire drive past. Then horseriding visit, castle and pub today. / Officially shattered as most of the eating was accompanied by a few bottles glasses of wine . I truly don't know how Fanny does it all. She is just amazing and her garden is going to be wonderful. Little Tom is quite cute too

DH has been on a hunt to track down some photos pre DS's. Anyhooo he found them and in the pack I found some photo booth ones of my friends and I making silly faces and others of different friends - I was probably around 14 at the time (bearing in mind I am 45 in August, they were taken a long long time ago) It has brought back so many lovely memories. I am meeting one of said friends for lunch next week, so I will be taking the pics with me.

I think everyone should have a grant to go and visit Fanny

Trills, I know there isn't much evidence on aspartame, but the alleged impact on blood sugar levels is quite interesting.
Along with all the other ishoos that may have impacted my lardiness, Mum started buying me sugar-free pop, Diet Pepsi etc. when I was around ten, and I really started to bang the weight on then, with the starts of binge-eating.

Also, the introduction of aspartame in the early 80s seems to coincide with the massive rise in obesity, which has my conspiracy anttenae twitching.

All the acids in fizzy pop are definitely bad for the teeth though, so it's worth cutting down anyway.

Wasting, there are some with a perm - but I was a bit older around 17/18/19. Ok will get MrB to scan them in - he says btw before you ask - he did not have a mullet!!!! (MrB is in the pics too).

Bella - I too am a victim of the perm. No evidence though, thank fuck goodness.

Wasting - I used to have a serious addiction to diet coke. I used to get withdrawel if I didn't have around 7 cans a day and the asp has since been proven to be the necter of satan.......

Well, DS is in bed, very nearly asleep but kicking his cot, MrMouse is finally doing the ironing that has been piling up for 6 weeks and DD is chilling!!

I'm enjoying a glass of White Zinfandel and I'm about to demolish a flake!!

Mouse at your flake! I've had a really, really lovely birthday (despite some tummy trouble) quite possibly one of the better ones MrNorma really put some thought & effort in this year (something he hasn't really done recently due to work stress etc) so it really meant a lot to me
