Blimey, it is quiet on here.

Shiney is with her BOYFRIEND!!

Vinny is at her mates.

Trills has her mum.

Bitter, is your hair really long?

Hello! I've been late getting DS to bed, washing up and getting DH tea and then knitting.

Me and DS planted tomato seeds before dinner.

Jet, your hair looks fab!

Hope everyone's having fun.

bellavita · 28/05/2010 22:28

I can't knit for toffee many many years ago though, I could crochet.

We grow courgettes and tomatoes every year - I love it! My grandma always called them zucchini and augbergines were melanzane.

wastingaway · 28/05/2010 22:34

Oh I can't crochet yet. I'm going to take the crochet instructions and hooks on holiday with me and learn.

We're growing courgettes. They're quite easy to grow if I remember correctly.

DH wants to do raised beds. We do have a veg patch and a green house though. He is growing potatoes in sacks this year.

wastingaway · 28/05/2010 22:47

I've always wanted a veg garden, but we've moved quite a lot, so never really got round to it. It's as much for DS to join in and learn from as for me, but we're really enjoying it so far.

We've got a strawberry planter with 12 plants in. So exciting to see the little green strawberries growing on them.

Cooooo-eeeeee!!

I'm having a quickish peek! Happy Friday night.

DH has planted, in no particular order.....

Veg - Roosters, Vivaldi, Charlotte and Rocket.

Tomatoes. Bell Peppers. Carrots. Fine Beans. Peas. Brocoli. Sprouts. Garlic. Onions. Spring Onoins. Lettuce. And, drum roll please......... Butternut Squash.

Fruit - Apples, Blackcurrants, Sloans, Hazelnuts, Goji Berries, Blueberries, and Strawberries!!

We have just over 1/4 of land. So he needs something to fill it!!!!

Are we drinking tonight ladies???

wastingaway · 28/05/2010 23:03

Wow Mouseface! That's ace.

We've got quite a big garden, and I'm hoping to eventually have quite a large vegplot, but I've started with a small patch so as not to get overwhelmed.

No booze for me, DH is having a week off the booze, so cracking open the gin would be rather cruel.

I have a feeling I'm going to miss most of this thread.

Spent all day driving aroung the Peak District. We went to Bakewell and had a Bakewell Pudding (I'm sure it was sugar free, fat free, and low calorie ). Dropped my friend in the middle of nowhere with her writing group, stopped to have dinner on way back, and finally got home just past 10pm. DS is knackered, went to bed without protest.

Mittz, I saw signs to your town and I waved!

Jet and I are doing shopping on Sunday, so have just make some plans with another friend to meet up at soft play place tomorrow with our DHs and babies in tow.

DS still has a bit of a cough but is miles better. I am wheezy and nose keeps running, but 3rd round of antibiotics seems to be the charm.

Off to bed now, will try to catch up in the morning if I can! Hope you are all well (Jet, you will have to tell me everyone's news on Sunday!)

They have left a few tubs of his powder on the ward so it should be a smash n grab!!
