Most of it ends up in charity shops

We have rule in this house that we have to make room for birthday/christmas presents by charity shopping old anything that is no longer played with.

It's the sheer amount that I object to.

I am sure DS would treat his toys with more respect if he didn't see this endless river of carp coming in to the house.

DIB - I love bananas (my fave), I have grapes, apples and satsumas usually during the day. Blueberries or strawberries with my 0% Total yog. So really I have a mixture of low and medium GI. Am really surprised about the watermelon.

Hello,

Have done upstairs and the kitchen, but there are still rice krispies all over the living room after DD got hold of the box

I thought the dog may have eaten them by now

Prawn salad for lunch and Salmon for dinner - I will join you in your fishy breath, lizzy

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/05/2010 12:20

Vinny, sorry you are feeling so crappy.

What did you eat?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/05/2010 12:39

Vinny, sandwich sounds nice Marmite goes with everything IMO.

Saf, DD is 16m

And the dog, or 'dyson' as we affectionately call her, usually cleans up dropped food before it's hit the ground

popping in quickly as I'm at work.

Vinny - what's the status with the dr? Did they say how long till you get results? It is totally crap that you feeling like this and I feel (perhaps unfairly) that it's their fault that you aren't being treated properly and quickly enough. It's been going on for such a time now and you must be at the end of your tether.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/05/2010 13:13

Have fed DD, serious case of cba now.

DD likes to 'help' me clean up. So she will put things in the bin, or I will give her a duster so she can 'dust'.

Weather is awful today. It always seems much easier to get on when the sun is out.

DreamsInBinary · 11/05/2010 13:15

Vinny - (blurgh) at your unusual lunch but at your feeling under the weather. I second what Hells says about the docs

VinegarTits · 11/05/2010 13:31

Hells, results should be back in this week, its not really the docs fault as from reading about the suggeted treatment of subclinical hpyerthyroidism, my doc is doing the right thing, i.e monitoring it through blood tests

But i seem to have all the classic symptoms of hyperthyroidsim (anxiety, palpataions, trembling hands, nervousness) so i am hoping the results come back more conclusive so they can start treating me with whatever drugs is needed

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/05/2010 13:40

Hope it happens quickly Vinny and you can get it treated.

hellsbelles · 11/05/2010 13:40

o.k...I'll take my anger away from the dr and though it feels weird to hope for the problem to have got worse?! I hope it has in a way so that you get the treatment.

Bitter - what CBA (I know it's going to be so obvious that I'll feel a pillock when you tell me!)

Mouseface · 11/05/2010 13:41

Afternoon, it's me, Mouseface.

I wanted to say thank you so much for the support so far and advice to join FoodFocus.

I have been watching what I eat for a week now, in terms of calorie counting anyway.

It's worked.

I have managed to drop 1.5lbs. A first in a long time as my post baby weight just sat in one place (mostly my middle) for the last few months.

I have to say though, I'm really shocked that white bread has less calories, sugar, salt and fats than wholemeal. What's that about????

Anyway, thanks again. My little weight loss has been a positive in a tough week. DS has been really bad with his reflux and we've found out that, amoungst other new things, he has gross motor skills developmental delay.

Oh, and the shower is broke. I can't get into the bath because of my SPD so I'm stinky today and wondering where we're going to find the money to replace the damn thing!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/05/2010 13:44

cba - Can't be arsed.

Mouse, well done on the loss

Sorry about your shower, hang on to the positives, sounds like a really tough week.

DreamsInBinary · 11/05/2010 13:45

Mouseface. Great news!

Hells, cba = can't be arsed.
