been to see dh. they have put him on the new strong drugs (dobutamine)) but th3ey are going to keep him on it till the op. they have given him sheets on the device (javik 2000) and iwill be trained on how to de3alwith it if things go wrong. havent actually spoken to the docs myself but will do at some point in the week. feel very overwhealmed right now, its like i'm watching someone elses lives unfold not mine and dh's.

I just read his 'story' on that website - made me cry - but in a nice way.

he is amazing. dh was meant to meet him a few months back at a talk he was giving, but was taken into hospital a few days before. i hope he egts a chance to meet him soon.

Misdee, it was me offering to answer any questions earlier, sorry if I confused you and for swearing, just hope my friend isn't what she says she is now!

Just read the site and read the page on his Donor and the donor's mum had put a piece up, that made me well up

eventfuk night. 2 drips worked their way out of his arms. says his arm is quite sore.

and he is still gaining weight. fluid buildup is massive! gained 2kg yesterday. overall he has gained almost 10kg.

awww hun, is all still on for tomorrow?!

That's a lot of fluid misdee - he must be pretty uncomfortable. It definitely sounds like the LVAD is the right way to go now.

Don't worry too much about ICU - it can be a bit of a shock at first but they'll explain what all the equipment is doing and he really will be in the best of hands.

Won't be here much tomorrow but will be thinking about you all.

he cantg 4eat properly becuase of the fluid. most opf it is around his lever, which is very enlarged. am hoping there wont be permanent damage to his liver and kidneys.

still on for tomorrow as far as we know.

Misdee I am really hoping that this goes ahead tomorrow I was unable to talk to the girl I know who had one as she has gone skiing!!!!I hope this gives you hope she also had DCM and an LVAD I have everything crossed for you your dp and your lovely girls xxxx
