People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

OP posts:

Ah Bella, he is out at a Sportsman's Dinner (bless him, he has had a tough day) and I am most likely on DS2's floor.
Ah well

VinegarTits · 06/11/2009 22:30

Ds2 drinks tropicana like its going out of fashion, my dentist says he has acid erosion, so have had to start watering it down

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 06/11/2009 22:31

Oh and said person was stalked which was a shame, but ultimately bought it on hersef. She was very prolific in her postings (some which were wonderful, some which offended me personally - very anti-fat) and had a job that was easily traced through the tinterwab, A lot of personal info was given through various posts and she was hounded by a right weirdo.

I would in no way she deserved in (no one does) but if you are going to covert the no1 spot then be prepared for the outcome.

A bit like people who chase fame and when they have it they do nothing but moan about the paparatzzi.

bellavita · 06/11/2009 22:31

Course you can pop in for a chat - anytime!

Lizzy, tis good for him to be out tonight non? I hope you have something comfy to sleep on?

VinegarTits · 06/11/2009 22:33

We are promoting healthy eating as well as weight loss mummylin, so you are very welcome and not expected to diet ( i dont diet, i just eat very healthy crap, like kettle crisps and doughnuts, doughnuts are healthy i have concluded, see previous threads for evidence)

bellavita · 06/11/2009 22:34

Vinny, so can my DS2 - could drink a whole carton in about half an hour. In fact he did last Saturday night and I had to stop him from getting another one out of the fridge. All that oj is not good for the stomach either.

hellsbelles · 06/11/2009 22:35

hello mummylin - aha - there's the thing. We are a healthy eating thread....so you can join in!

Jac - what a lovely lovely friend. SHe sounds great.

hellsbelles · 06/11/2009 22:36

bellavita · 06/11/2009 22:37

I am having some fresh mango with my 0% total yog tomorrow. A pack with two in for £1.50. The blueberries, strawberries and raspberries were far to bloody expensive to buy.

glad I'm not alone tonight

Lizzy -- Wine giveing friend + best friend I spoke to today = the same person. I really, really love her

Shine -- yep that is me, and I'm striving to keep it. So what my losing weight will be up and down and very slow, but as long as I keep coming back to it and moving forward, how bad can it be? It's a good place to be, and stops reduces the feelings of guilt we all get.

I'm counting my blessings and dealing with my problems daily from now on, not being all consumed by problems and taking my blessings for granted.

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 22:44

Bella, deffo, he didn't want to go, but I think he needs it. He was v upset today. And has been v stressed in work etc, so I think today was the first time that he had time to think about his Grandma. In his own words he "sobbed like a baby". Why I so wanted to go, to pay my respects and also because I knew that would be when it would hit DH.

Jac speaks the truth about famous poster tbh, well said.
I do love you Jac, get back into exercising so you can start kicking our butts again, like only you can?
I have a few books that could possibly be on an English Lit course, do you have booklists? Cos If I have any (read way before I had Kids I hasten to add, now have mushy head), they are yours.

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 06/11/2009 22:45

Night mummylin

Actually, I am off to bed too, have got a rotten headache. For some reason AF decided to make a show tonight - only 18 days since the last one, but the one before that did not show up at all, so I am wondering now at 44 if this is gonna what it is like leading up to the m word - well I cannot even say it- makes me feel old.

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 22:56

YOu are not 44, Bella, you look about 24.
Hope you feel better tomorrow

Aaah, Sal, we all have slip ups, you'll find no judgement here!
I lost 10lbs and got back into running when first on the thread, then it went a bit wrong and I have put 7lbs back on and am struggling to run for 5mins.
Just chat, me lovely, no worries.

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 23:08

Shine, I pray for the menopause, I really do. Like Vinny my periods are getting worse and worse.

Oh, am not going to meet up, too far away and no funds.

Would love to do it one day, I nearly went to the NW one last year then chickened out.
