Let it SHIIIIIII-IIINE, Let it Shine....waltzing about in rude good health like we are all in an M&S ad

Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

No cat Trills, am allergic. A cat would be handy though as we get the odd field mouse in winter.

MitsubishisMagnificentCock · 27/10/2009 17:18

I hope Trillian doesn't become the 'cock'slasher, else we are all a gonner.

TrillianSlasher · 27/10/2009 17:19

I am not namechanging to cock while on work computer.

No cats and no toddlers - looks like you're safe for posh baubles!

BiteOfFun · 27/10/2009 17:20

Wayhey, I'm out! Got to pick dd2 up now. It was brutally painful, but I've had harder shags to be honest

FlamingoCock · 27/10/2009 17:21

How's your fanjo then, Bite? And where's your cock name?

ACockInHandIsWorth2InTheBush · 27/10/2009 17:33

Welcoming new 'members' made me rofl..

But hi to anyone joining. Pleeeease stay,

Lizzylou · 27/10/2009 17:39

Yes, well done Flam for inspiring us all with your new siaze 10 purchases (were they SIZE 10??? I'm not sure, you weren't very clear ).

It's not all about the Cock on this thread, oh no!

at BOF having had harder shags than the coil removal! No wonder durex are a no no

FlamingoCock · 27/10/2009 17:41

Lizzy - yes indeed. I just checked the label and they certainly do say SIZE TEN. They are lovely and SMALL!!!!

Cockavita · 27/10/2009 17:44

Thanks Flamingo, I may well try the fruit/veg delivery thing again.

We are boring with food... but I do make things from scratch, although we are going out for tea tonight

Lizzylou · 27/10/2009 17:44

The closest thing to a size 10 for me are my feet, Flam (size 8, but wide as the shoe boxes!).

Do you just keep stroking the SIZE TEN labels lovingly??

hellsbelles · 27/10/2009 17:51

Oh flam - size 10 is lovely you can actually wear clothes cause you like them not because they cover your bum/tummy/thighs....very very very very

Why is Shiney a bah humbug about Christmas??

Jesus!!! Page 7 already?? I give up.......don't really

Just had pizza for dinner, really want chocolate and alcohol too - been a long day

Will put DD to bed, have a long soak in the bath, then settle down for a couple of hours of trashy tv, i mean exercise.....

BiteOfCock · 27/10/2009 19:34

Ooh, I'm bushed now [_]

TrillianSlasher · 27/10/2009 19:44

Sal - well done on having plenty of calories left for dinner. Make sure you are entering the right portion sizes though - I found my 'just a little bit while I'm in the fridge' was over 100 calories.

Have you had the copper one put in BoF or are you just thinking baout it?

I am making lamb meatballs based on one of the recipes on our thread, but spicy tomato sauce and then rice with chickpeas instead of the stew that goes with them.

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 27/10/2009 19:46

Found you all.

I am tired and knackered, fed so many people over the last couple of days, trying to sort out builders etc and managed to piss someone off which had me in tears earlier but can't go into more details.

DH and BIL are now playing with tanks (the army kind), we are meant to be going out for supper in 10 minutes they are not here and I am very quickly getting through a bottle of wine.

How is everyone else?

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 27/10/2009 19:48

and might have to cook for a further12 tomorrow as BIL is getting precious.

Am not going to WW tomorrow and try o repair the damage next week.

BiteOfCock · 27/10/2009 19:57

Trill, yes, I had the copper one put in at the same time as the other one was taken out.

SazZaVoom · 27/10/2009 20:02

Dinner sounds lovely Trill

Fanny - you sound like a saintly chef and deserve the wine

BOF - an underactive thyroid does sound possible - hope they figure it out for you. I got DH to have the snip so i was no longer putting hormones in my body but i realise that is a bit drastic

Flam - excellent news on the size 10 , definitely something to shout about. I will be VERY happy if i can get to a size 12. Hopefully 1 more stone will achieve that

Off to make tea in a mo as DH still not home from work. Luckily the DD's went to bed like a dream, although i am not holding my breath

TrillianSlasher · 27/10/2009 20:11

Well done on the size 10 Flamingo!

Dinner is cooking very very slowly in the oven. Wish it would hurry up.

G&T here for anyone who wants some. SLimline of course. With lime wedges.

Cockavita · 27/10/2009 20:14

DH made me, yes that's right, made me have a double gin and slimline tonic.

I then had beef stroganoff with half and half (rice and chips), red cabbage (love that stuff), carrots and green beans.

Followed by... some of DS2's meringue sundae - he insisted on getting it and we share, but I had to force it down at 4.95 I really did not want to waste it

The house feels like it is a tip and I have said we must all tidy up tomorrow morning. I hate it when things are not in their proper place.

Hello everyone , especiallyto our new members.

BiteofCock - sorry you are having a crap time with "ladies things".

Fanny, you sound like a saint! another 12

TrillianSlasher · 27/10/2009 20:16

MM-mm, rice and chips. Love it!

BrandNewCock · 27/10/2009 20:18

Is it really possible to be on page 7 already? Would you just slow down a tad, perhaps? I can see I need to take drastic action, handing in my notice at work so I can partake of the daily thread surge.
