Let it SHIIIIIII-IIINE, Let it Shine....waltzing about in rude good health like we are all in an M&S ad

Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

VineGruesomeTits · 29/10/2009 14:06

oh poor jet, sorry about your db, hope he is ok

what a cockoid your ex is, i would be tempted to go for option 3, but not sure if minijet is too young, it a tricky one, is there nobody else close who could watch her? a neighbour or close friend?

Hi all

Am eating dried cranberries and pretending that they are sweets

It's not working

Jet, um tough one, I think I'd go with asking your sister tbh. I agree that it would be nice for Junior (well done Junior Jet btw!) to have her special moment of glory.

bellavita · 29/10/2009 14:12

See Shiney, that is all you needed to do - a link to something similar

Mmm Lizzy, I love dried cranberries.

I have kitkats in the fridge and am dying to have one with my milky coffee, but s'pose that defeats the object of having 0 point soup for lunch.

BiteOfFun · 29/10/2009 14:12

More like these, I reckon, Bella.

Now you are talking BofF

bellavita · 29/10/2009 14:20

Give me strength....

DS1 has had some parody on his laptop on repeat for the last half hour, boy did it get on my nerves, so I asked him to turn it off. We are now on round 3 of Viva Las Vegas......

bellavita · 29/10/2009 14:22

Apparently he "so needs a macbook" - not a chance my boy, not a chance.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 29/10/2009 14:30

You have kitkats in the fridge Bella? . I can't have them in my fridge because I scoff them continuously.
And with a latte....ooohhhh snack porn.

bellavita · 29/10/2009 14:39

They really don't turn me on like say a bar of galaxy/cadbury's would.

TrillianSlasher · 29/10/2009 14:50

Naugty children, no snack porn!

(tries to be Syc)

harleyd · 29/10/2009 14:57

have finally caught up with whats been going on in the last few days
why would you assume i had left?
i hadnt left this thread, i havent been about on mn much all week.. but i wont be posting on here anymore...which is a shame because theres a lot of people on here that i like
i dont get involved in politics, i dont get involved in public slanging matches, i dont take the piss out of people and i dont like the atmosphere on here now

Lizzylou · 29/10/2009 14:59

Oh Harley, I am sorry that you feel like that

Who knew that eating mung beans and trying to be healthy could cause so much strife?

BiteOfFun · 29/10/2009 15:05

That's a shame harleyd- all the best to you.

Can anybody help Trinity over here, who is in a pickle? Remember, she lost her husband in August in a car crash, and is struggling with three little ones under ten

Sorry about your bro Jet and your ex , what a knob jockey.

Looks like I missed a lot. When I popped back in and you were still discussing Terry Wogan's cock, it was like I'd never been away!

I weigh exactly what I did three weeks ago, which is fab considering Morrison's have Ben and Jerry's on offer.

SqueezyCheesyCock · 29/10/2009 15:55

Afternoon ladies

Shiney, your glasses are lovely, BoF must be psychic they are so......what's the word......inconspicuous....discreet.....minimalist

Pub lunch today . Done my bits and bobs, got soaked in the rain.

Went into H&M to try on some clothes and came out feeling a tad peed off as it seems I need to move up a size I'm not doing it! I must lose weight.

SqueezyCheesyCock · 29/10/2009 15:56

And Jet, sorry about your brother, I hope he is going to be well again soon

SpookyAlice · 29/10/2009 16:42

Squeezy - i am a 14 in H&M but 10/12 everywhere else.

Bella - i got new glasses a couple of weeks ago, £97 for both a normal pair and a pair of prescription sunglasses (bogof in specsavers)

I seem to have seriously missed something, why is everyone going on about the thread changing and not liking the direction it is going in? Is it me? Is that why i am oblivious?

SpookyAlice · 29/10/2009 16:44

Oh and meant to add (as this is healthy eating and all that) that i got a soup cookbook from the library today and it looks good so will give some a go and let you know how they turn out.
