Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

What has happened to MN?? I don't like it. Someone please change it back

bellavita · 29/10/2009 11:09

If you hate it Vinny, could you not rent somewhere else?

bellavita · 29/10/2009 11:10

I don't like the new look mn either Alice.

BiteOfFun · 29/10/2009 11:11

Hi SpookyAlice! I know what you mean- I was really pissed off yesterday. Still hate it, in fact. They just thrust it upon us to- and it wasn't thrusting in a good way either

Morning all,

So am I to understand that possibly only BIWI and I are going to the MN party?! Because if so I can see chances for BIWI and I to cause mischief and mayhem

You must come because otherwise I may be tempted to execute a fiendish plot - I could play the part of each of you depending on who I'm are talking to!!

If I want respect and to be treated like royality I shall introduce myself as Shiney.

With the crafting crew I shall be Norma and discuss my very superior crafting skills.

The flyladies will be thrilled to meet DEM!

As Bella I will be the Domestic Goddess and make everyone with my baking skills (and I'll blind them all with the sparkle my diamond earrings).

And if I'm feeling very naughty (and tempted to shock) I shall be BOF, Squeezy or Vinny (aka Terry) ...

If I want to be respected for my general niceness I shall introduce myself as Lizzy, Jac,Trills or Syc!

Flam - alas I cannot pretend to be size 10.

So....be there...or you will hear tales of your behaviour at the party for years to come ha ha ha ha ha

VineGruesomeTits · 29/10/2009 11:13

I can't afford to rent private, i rent from a housing trust because its cheap

I am going to move when i have cleared all my debts which will be in about 12 months

right ds1 is going feel the wrath of my tongue

VineGruesomeTits · 29/10/2009 11:15

Hells you MUST pretend to be me at the MN party, then everyone will think i am gorgeous

SpookyAlice · 29/10/2009 11:15

Hells

I have just changed it to MN new and it is easier to read.

FlamingoBingo · 29/10/2009 11:15

your children are being a pain, Vinny. Mine too...which is why I've made them watch tv

VineGruesomeTits · 29/10/2009 11:20

Too be fair, ds1 and his gf are lying in bed pretending to be sick, and ds2 ia bugging them, but they are tormenting him, and find it amusing

FlamingoBingo · 29/10/2009 11:21

I've got MN new and it's fine. I think they're trying to get everyone to accept change and stop using MN classic...

I've found a black cardi and now I look super-fab. Pity there's no one to show it off to except for four small girls!

FlamingoBingo · 29/10/2009 11:23

How old are your DCs Vinny?

SqueezyCheesyCock · 29/10/2009 11:25

......and the saga continues

Anyway, morning ladies

Only on for 2 ticks as going out to town, busy day today. Flamingo you're looking good lady!

Breakfast was a double shot coffee and two slices of toast.

I got a super gift through this morning as part of my craft swap, will put pic on FB laters, wait till you see it, it's fabbo

VineGruesomeTits · 29/10/2009 11:30

ds1 is 20 and ds2 is 3

ds1 has gone out now, peace at last

bellavita · 29/10/2009 11:32

Hells, you are lovely

Vinney - I will wish the next 12 months away quickly for you... >

Squeezy, don't meet yourself coming back will you - sounds like an awfully busy day.

Have just made some veg soup with the stuff left over in the fridge - which means I can eat as much of it as I want and it is nil points. So, soup and a sandwich for me today.

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/10/2009 11:33

I like your cunning plan, hells ...

bellavita · 29/10/2009 11:35

Causing mischief with hells shouldn't be hard work BIWI

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 29/10/2009 11:39

Homemade soup sounds good Bella, I could put some in the pressure cooker and not worry for a couple of days....

FlamingoBingo · 29/10/2009 11:44

Thanks CheesyCock

Looking forward to seeing the crafty thing you've been sent!

BrandNewIggi · 29/10/2009 12:05

Afternoon all. One of my at home days today, doubting a wee bit my ability to keep my healthy eating (4 perfect days so far, a bloody miracle!) in hand when I am in the house and near the kitchen..
Don't like all the photo/in the flesh stuff, I love that none of you can see me, unless the new mumsnet has installed a webcam thingy - omg, better pull my stomachs in, my double chin etc.. Or I could get a body double to pose for me!

TrillianSlasher · 29/10/2009 12:08

I am already on new and it is a bit wonky. Not realy sure why though.

hellsbelles · 29/10/2009 12:20

spooky - I haven't forgotten you (or the others I haven't YET mentioned - just busy plotting

hellsbelles · 29/10/2009 12:22

So do you think I shouldn't press 'refresh' is the new MN really horrid???

jetcock · 29/10/2009 12:31

OMG i daft do i feel!!!After complaining to Vinny on FB that i couldnt get on here, i accidently scrolled down while trying, and there you all were - hiding from me

anyways.....

Jac - its great to hear you feeling so much more positive. I had messaged you on FB about a couple of kids DVDs, they're yours if you want them - just stick a couple of quid in a charity box if you so desire. The uni hardship should be helping you more than £100 (though that helps as well). WHen i was at uni, the student parents got at least £800 per term from the Access fund - thats on top of the loans etc.

Welcome back Syc Glad your nanny is working out well

Am still trying to eat healthily - some days are better than others lol!

My little bro is STILL in hospital - he needs more chest xrays, his mum (my old foster parent) are beside herself - he is 18 and only 1 year older than his brother when he died in 2001. SHe also lost her first son when he was a few days old. She just keeps saying, "i cant lose another son". its so sad
