Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

What about this for a new name:

somemothersarejustcrap

ds has jus told me he doesnt want to come home tomo, he doesnt want to live with me and doesnt want to be anywhere near me at christmas. .

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 20:57

Right - I have to get some work done - I'm way behind on stuff from spending hours faffing about trying to get FB working!

MitsubishisMagnificentCock · 28/10/2009 20:58

Oh DEM, that is sad for you, but is it not one of those things that DC's say? My DS says some awful things in anger. And they hurt like crap.

Why do you think you are a crap mother? I am ure you are not..

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 20:59

Oh DEM - you cannot have a name like that. I forbid it!

I am sure DS doesn't mean it - how old is he?

sorry x posts DEM wasn't ignoring-

surely that is just one of those shite things kids say - in fact I am sure I said it to my mother a few times. And that name is not allowed.

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 21:05

shiney - already sent you a message on FB - I will not accept those lies!

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 21:07

Shiney is a fit bird.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 28/10/2009 21:07

4 1/2 and yep i think he means it. Its been tough and he misses his dad like crazy. He spends his time with his dad doing fun things as his dad doesnt have to do the boring bits when he is there. I on the other hand have to do boring bits when he is about. Plus he is finding it really hard with me having gone back to school. So i can have a career and we can move out. I cant win in this situation. And not going to try.

Anyone got a better name then as need a new one. something different. it was supposed to be something to go with the new happier me but nt really feeling that vibe at the mo. Broke my heart to hear him sobbing so badly just because he was coming home tomo.

It was doing that earlier. half term meltdown i think shiney.

SqueezyCheesyCock · 28/10/2009 21:13

Shiney is fit, she has FAB cheekbones!

DEM - honestly your wee one doesn't mean it. My SILs mate has almost the exact same problem. Dad gets to do all the good weekend, fun stuff and mum has to give rules and organise the more boring aspects of daily life. It's not fair but honestly, he doesn't mean it. He is too young to see things as they actually are and it is so easy to say things we don't mean, even as adults. Tomorrow is another day.

You're not having any of this negative name business either. We can put our heads together and come up with something new for you

In the meantime, have a look at Vinnys pumpkin, it's fab!

NormaSknockers · 28/10/2009 21:14

Evening all,

Just checking in, lost 1lb this week so better then nothing! Having a busy week so not really getting on much at the moment but once the weekends here I should be able to catch up a bit better Running went well again tonight & back on the diet wagon hoorah!

Hope everyone's well?!!

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 21:16

actually talking about work (but still not doing it!)....it's worth being very careful with facebook if you are applying for a job.

Anyone we shortlisted last time we were interviewing- we did a facebook search on- and it's so funny what some people have on a public profile!

Luckily it was actually a plus (for us) if there was pic of them getting pissed somewhere (as they'd fit in well with the rest of the office ) - but may not be for some employers!

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 21:19

hells - what do you do?

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 21:28

squeezy - do you reckon it's the cheekbones that make her look so young?

DEM - my DS is 6 now...and he has said the same sort of thing to me. I think because I am not feeling vulnerable about that and KNOW he is just saying it 'in the moment' I
just shrug and say 'o.k. then!! - did you have another mummy in mind that you like better' (not sure if that is actually a really bad thing to say??!!) and he always looks a bit confused and says something along the lines of 'I was only joking' or I really really do love you. And we move on.

4.5 is just that age where feelings change by the second. And you hate mummy one minute and love her the next. It will be alright.

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 21:29

Bella - will tell you on FB when I can get back on (it doesn't seem to be letting me log on now)...not meaning to be cryptic but don't want customers to find my naughty comments on this thread! they might be very shocked!

DEMlostandtiredDEMlostandtired · 28/10/2009 21:35

stupid mnet has lost my profile again.
